Dear Lord, I come before you today in fullness of praise. I do not deserve to be before You because of my filth and stench. Irrespective of my condition, You accepted me because You are not man who hates and detests another. You alone are God. Your love for me is without measure. You enact me with abundance of grace and wisdom. You have preserved my life thus far. You have given me a perfect wife and family. You have blessed the works of my hands. I am grateful oh Lord. There is none holy as You Lord. There is none beside thee my Father. Everything on heart belongs to you including me. You heard my cry and healed me. You took my shame and reproach away. You restored hope into our lives. I stray but You bring me back. Like a prodigal son, You welcome me with open arms. You took away all my afflictions. You healed my wife of a serious uterine fibroid operation. You took away HIV and its symptoms. You gave me strength, peace and joy in abundance. You gave my wife the fruit of the womb despite the wait for 13 months. Though the devil infiltrates my thoughts and I fall, you lift me up. I want to serve You all my life. I want to win souls unto You. Abba father! Thank you Lord. I Love You Lord. Indeed You alone art God. Your Son. |
@ Osisi, God bless you for the thread. I am paticularly touched by those testimonies. HE alone is worthy to be praised. HE has been faithful in the days of old and will always be there in our days. All powers belong to him. Before we were formed he knew us. My prayer is for this to touch many lives positively on Nairaland. We might be anonymous, but we all have a cross we bear. I have felt HIS presence in my life before and still feel it till date. My sins are to weighty for the love he showers on me. A life without HIM is indeed empty. HIS healing power is without religious denomination nor belonging to a certain churh/place of worship but a function of FAITH and LOVE relating with belief that HE can hear your cries or pleas. We all have a choice. I prefer to choose life with HIM. Osisi God bless you once again. |
@ fine apple, Many replies have worsened the case. But a few if you earnestly heed to will make you happy forever. The best i have seen here is pennywise's post. Identify, address, resolve then achieve results. Those things you can change please do change them. Do things his way, make concerted effort to cover up all the paucities. You both will be happy afterwards. Do not relent in your prayers. |
dipotepede: Dipo glad to have you on thread. I hope the poster will heed to your call and discard this goose chase. I concur with you that he is an asset to the media industry in Nigeria. Kindly let me use this medium to encourage you to continue the good work you have been doing through the talk business helping young minds discover themselves. Cheers ![]() |
rasputinn:God bless you. Wisdom will never run dry from your tent. We can make humor with most things but we need to be careful about the things of God. Many have lost sight of sanity because of their supposed quest for knowledge. I would have preferred if the poster had spent time spearheading a crusade for the Truth and Gospel of Christ than investing as much time and effort in disreputing these men of God. |
naomijt:Dearest Naomijt, You are damn rite that i am still in Pre-K when it comes to things of God . I daily beg for His divine direction because I know He is an awesome God. Abba Father. So why seek to gather success in a sinking voyage when all riches come from my Father? ![]() |
@ Poster, I must commend your flawless writing skills. Well documented and convincing use of words. Great Analysis. But guess what, I believe they are miss-used. Why not leave church matters for God. We all should be praying for the spirit of discernment to know the true churches and the fake ones. The truth for me is I care less about the Pastor. I will not attach undue importance and attachment to any man of God but the words that comes out of his mouth. Its actually no big deal for me to pay my tithes. In short as a matter of fact and joy i paid for last month today . As usual the devil came calling because it was an amount that will pay other people's salary thus monthly temptations to violate the rule. But what will be my gain? What if it is that my token of the lot that is needed to take the work of evangelism to another level? On a second thought imagine the tithes is going to someones pocket and personal enrichment, it is his or her personal problem. Stealing from God. God is more interested in our heart. My best scripture is Malachi 3. An excerpt of the latter part of vs 10 says he will pour out "a blessing that there will not be enough room to contain it"Let the good keep doing good and the wicked keep being wicked one day the truth will be told. Mr Poster I can assure you that you have a gift and if you keep using it this way, you will build a team of cohorts and followers within a short while. A lot of people will develop new attitudes towards church more towards the negative and unbelief. I implore you before you continue to weigh the consequences. Above all, who am I to judge. ![]() |
mesmya:My brother I reiterate once again none is justified. All na same. Talking about God, pre marital sex(fornication) is defintely not approved so no soft pedalling on the issue. This is a societal issue. Stop sounding like it is solely the poster that is guilty of this crime. Guest houses are springing up daily for short time runs? Who patronises them? Our fathers of course with younger gals. Married women with their lovers. Unmarried singles. Married men and other people's wife. My call is for us to address the issue and not attack the poster. That way we will encourage a lot of people to express their situations without mincing words. Guess we are not on the same chapter on this. You can liken me to the poster because I am a man. I need not womanise to understand his plight. I know i am only favored to exhibit control. The poster has not shown any sign of stupidity hence I cannot be defending dim-witt. ![]() Ujujoan:Better said. ![]() |
@ Ujujoan, If you re-read my post and lend time to digest it you will observe and discern that i identified with the problem, stated the consequence and also offered a possible solution that i have employed and still use till date. I have in no way praised the act. But i have only stated the obvious. Without undertaking any research, 80% of men cheat likewise 50% of women too either married or unmarried. The question is what can we do to reduce this number? Sharing experiences can help to identify a common cause and thus a solution. This section of the forum is not set up primarily to reprimand anyone but grant candid advice, learn, support, concur with, argue for or against or better still ignore. High maturity is required. It is sickening how words are thrown around like babies who just learnt to talk. More horrendous every thread carries an offensive reply. Haba. ![]() mesmya:@mesmya, Cheating either married or unmarried should attract same judgment and verdict. Thus all cheating men are stupid and foolish .I might be wrong but i do not think this poster's intent was to brag about his sexual exploits better still i believe he has identified his problem and thus needs a solution. You need not be inappropriately worked up. ![]() |
TRULY NO ONE LIKE YOU BABA. I HUMBLE MYSELF BEFORE YOU TODAY. TAKE THE WHOLE OF ME DADDY. |
Ujujoan:Uju, we have no platform to trade words. Everyone has a brain and it is the full responsibility of the carrier to maximise the use to the fullest or in what ever capacity he or she does wish. Thus decoding my earlier post in like manner and your insultive and slurry reply has not in anyway moved my gaze a bit nor will it attract further asperse frome me. Moreso, "kids will always play with sand". ![]() @ Niyi rocks, Thanks ![]() @ Cold, You damn rite. ![]() |
@ Poster, I am not surprised at the derogatory outburst your story has attracted. It is peculiar of NL. Few people here are real. Most people hide under the shadow of being extra morally upright and excessively decent. I always wonder why they prefer to domicile in the sexuality section only to criticise and chastise other posters. I believe if you have no affirmative reply then look and walk away or better still be humorous in your reply instead of being childish and immature. Your case is a general problem with men though there are few exceptions. I often ask myself why I also get attracted to other women when i have an excellent relationship? The truth is we try one, then another, then another and gradually it becomes a norm which will culminate into deep guilt, especially if your partner is the very faithful type. I have chosen to restrict myself from going over board with other women and i can not count the number of phone numbers i have deleted from my phone to cut the line of communication. Also i decided to develop all the fun i desire to have around her alone. Sincerely this has drastically reduced the time and urge to run after other sweet shoddies. In all honesty it is a hard fight especially if you are good looking with small cash to back it. And it requires the grace of God to overcome. Plenty naija gals too fine. ![]() |
@ poster, Isnt it possible that she is not doing something right. The basis of the complaints should also be considered. A woman that suddenly develops negative habits would definitely attract a reaction from the guy. I believe if he complains and you believe it is unlike him, work towards eschewing those things he talks about. Same applies for the guy too. Moreso you cannot change parents because they complain about your bad attitudes. I have not seen anyone that makes negative complaints about good deeds except such person is looking for an excuse to walk away from the relationship. All relationships can work as long as there is an iota of love, respect and worth. |
Hiya, Are u unhappy about anytin? Its about time and chance. Keep prayin and hopin. Its well. Be d light and not the judge, Be a model and not a critic Be a part of the solution Do not be a part of the problem. Enjoy. ![]() |
Baba words cannot express how great you have been. You are awesome O lord. Eseun gan. Modupe, motu ope mida. Glory be to your Holy name. Ur son. |
So many times we ponder a lot about how cruel life has treated us. We get bitter and dissatified about our present positions, unachieved goals, outstanding needs and inadequacies or physical imperfection. Have u ever thought of what someother people are going through? Do u believe that truly no condition in life is permanent? Every great person today has one story or the other. Not all successful people inherited success. Inshort a greater percentage that inherited it miss-used it. Majority of successful leaders today were victims of poverty and amputated dreams. Failed several times. Normal people like you and I. The difference is very thin. That is the idea factor. Propensity to succeed. The drive, the vision, the perseverance. They were tired of the purpoted rumour that their entire lineage was cursed. They decided to stand out. Take the bull by the horns. Let me stop here with the preaching. Lets look at a case study. My cousin Growing up was like every other Agege (a slum in Lagos) child. Both parents illiterate. The father was an unskilled factory staff who rose to become a factory supervisor. His meagre salary kept the family alive. The mother had a miniature trade she ran from home. Grinding pepper and selling cooking accessories like salt, maggi, pepper and tomatoes. They were not to keen on the importanc eof education. They knew it was important but they didnt force the children to inculcate reading as a must habit. My cousin from childhood identified the need for excellence. Amidst hawking pepper he was unshaken in his pursuit for success and excellence. He attended public primary and secondary schools within the vicinity. But he was different. There was no iota of the debris and decay significant in his fellow peers. Exceptional all through. He had the second best WAEC result in the whole Agege area then. Best in his school. My dad was always using him as an example to emulate. Handsome, God fearing and respectiful. Very hardworking too. He desired to be a pharmacist. His father lost his job just as he gained admission. There was a mass retrenchmnet and he was affected. He gained admission to study another less attractive but tedious science/social science/engineering course. He was promised that he could cross over if his performance after the first year is rated excellent. After the first year he cleared all his courses. The promise was not fulfilled. The department refused to release him. He chose accept his position and give his best to the course. After five years, of struggling through school, he graduated as the best student in the faculty, he was the president of the entire faculty and also the president of his campus fellowship. Always there to lend a helping hand. Loved by all. We were in same school. He is an older cousin. Accolades upon accolades were rained on him. On the convocation day, the father struggled to attend. He was lost in the crowd unnoticed. Then the award ceremony started. The prizes kept coming for this outstanding young man. The father could not stand up for recognition because no one would believe him. He sat there and wept for joy. After NYSC, my cousin applied to one of the generation banks. After the training two of them were set aside. During his interview the impressed panel of interviewers requested to kno whis family background and they were shocked to know that his both parents were illiterates. The father had started work as a security man in an old generation bank. He was given a position two levels higher than his colleagues. He automatically became a senior staff. An official driver and all the paraphenalia of office. His life started to change. He declined to buy a car. In his first year he built his parents a house. Afterwards he bought his first personal car. 8 months after he bought a state of the art jeep. He took responsibility of his siblings schooling. Enrolled them in private universities. Looking back to his journey i can only but praise God. He is an awesome God. I hope this true life experience encourages us all. It is only a matter of time, all things would strengthen out. Do not relent in your belief in Him. Cheers |

@ Topic, Let us use ourselves as a case study. There wouldn't have been cars if we did not invent them. Technology wouldn't have been if someone did not take the conscious effort to let them be. Thus we as humans too have a maker. He controls everything. He is incharge of all our affairs. I have never doubted in my spirit man that God exists. One other convincing evidence is the fact that evil exists. Thus a counter must exist, which is 'good'. Sometimes we know some things are wrong. We want to run from them, the conscience which most unbelievers in the existenc of God have claimed to be their driving force even warns us of, we eventually find how selves defying all of these warnings to still carry out these wrong deeds. Why? Because some negating spirit and demons have been assigned by the Devil to ensure that things don't work according to planned. Thus the need to believe in God, not just believing but accepting His Son (Jesus Christ) as the Lord and Personal savior. For me it has always worked for me. He has never left me unattended to. I can see Him everywhere. His Spirit convicts me when i am wrong and he His kind enough to forgive me all of my sins. Finally, the peace i experience when i acknowledge His existence and praising Him is enough evidence that He not only exists but He is with me, He is not far, He is so close. All i need is to whisper my needs to Him. |
Daddy, It is the dawn of a new day. Sweet is the thought of You in my heart. I owe You all of me. I smile day in day out all because of your grace. Thank You Abba Father. Praise be your name. All Nairalanders rejoice in the Lord, Rejoice in your maker. My soul praises your Holy name. Accept my praise oh Lord. Your Son |
