Crime / Re: Children Killed As Air Force ‘Accidentally Bombs’ Borno Village by stag: 6:14am On Apr 14, 2020
I swear all the money used to send all these our military officers for training overseas is a waste!

If the intention is not to kill all villagers, why does the Nigerian Air Force always bomb residents without ground troops first engaging the terrorists?

Even if you were informed the terrorist were there in the village, what precautionary measures were taken to ensure very minimal civilian casualties?

You heard Book Haram terrorists & fiam! You just start raining bombs on innocent homes angry

Nigerian Military is overrated.

Romance / Re: My Boss' Girlfriend Is In Love With Me by stag: 12:05am On Mar 22, 2020
borngeologist:
My story might be lengthy with a lot of grammatical blunders.. But my elders Abeg help me just manage read am and advice me because am really confused..

I have a boss who actually loves me. He likes me like a son and he always wants me to go out with him. We are actually very close pal.

There was a day he went out with his girklfriend. I was at home when my phone rang. He told me to bring 3k to where he was with his girlfriend. When I got there he told me to sit down and drink and eat dog meat with them. But I don't eat dog so I only drank one bottle. The lady and I later talked and I left them.

She came to our place this Wednesday. I was inside my room, she was just insisting that she wanted to see me. When I got there, she was just telling me my boss drinks a lot which is quite true but he dosent misbehave. That it is too much. As a guy man I covered up for my boss. And I left her and my boss.

Today we went to her shop. My boss ordered for drink for us. We started drinking. Later I went out, she followed me. We sat together and started talking. She started telling me that If she actually saw me first she would have dated me that she loves me that she doesn't like my boss. I was quite shocked and told her that since she is already dating my boss it is not possible. Then my boss and one of my other colleague with a lady came out and joined us. That was how we started gisting again. I had an important call to pick so I later entered her shop because the outside was noisy. That was how this lady came inside and kissed me. I was really shocked I have to run outside.

My boss and I later left her place for a burial where a friend of his (a lady) invited us to a burial. When I got there this lady started saying she really likes me that she wish she meet me earlier that she would have dated me.. That she really likes me a lot. My boss now jokingly asked me that I want to take all his girls from him. Mind you that my boss girlfriend calls me her husband even people close to her shop call me her husband.. And these ladies are way older than Me..

Please all I need from you guys is advice on what to do cause am confused.

There is also a married lady too that told me she wished she met me earlier that she would have dated me. And other older beautiful ladies. In their early and middle thirties and am just 23.

As I see it, you'd be saying the relationship with the woman is worth more than the father-son relationship you have with your boss.

If you do, I don't think any permutations from such scenario will be good for you.

Think again.

If government don't want to curb Almajiri I think this will...

This comment is in bad taste.

There's no defense for sounding this way when a human being was beheaded in such gruesome manner.

Where's your humanity?

No need to respond.

Celebrities / Re: Hushpuppi Slams Timaya Over Celebrities That Wear Fake Outfits (video) by stag: 10:21am On Dec 23, 2019

Most Nigerians celebrities wear fake designers. EOD.

With their 50,000 Naira Hermes and Chanel bags grin
Not When the authentic ones usually start around 500k -1 mil (per conversion rates and depending on brand).

Even original Michael Kors costs around 100k -200k for the average ones. Not even the MK collections which cost A LOT more.

I’m more afraid for those celebrities who own fashion boutiques that sell “authentic” designers and won’t let us rest on instagram with their 5,000 Naira Steve Madden shoes. The day counterfeit police will remember them, they will go bankrupt trying to get out of that mess. Mercy somebody take note. I love lady entrepreneurs but many of them aren’t even aware of what they are involved in.

Be proud of made in Nigeria products and promote your own country products.

A Chanel purse that costs $5,000 before tax (1.8 mil Naira) has no business being sold for 100k in one shopping complex in Abuja. It wasn’t made for the Nigerian market. And no they didn’t reduce the price for us, as those brands never go on sale. You buying it thinking you’re a big boy or girl for spending 100k on a bag or pair shoes are just being played. Using your money to oil one child labor sweat shop in China.

Stick to what you know.

I had to login to ask who offended you grin

You might get the job but, retaining it might need extreme care.

You must keep keeping under the radar.

I know a bank BM that lost his job for this.

Firstorderwizard:

My bro is working for USAID on contract, his monthly take home pay is no match for any federal govt workers. Not even the legit take home pay of a permanent secretary can match it aside oil company workers (the big coys like Total,Chevron etc)

Granted. Again, his brother probably didn’t have qualifications for a level with decent pay in Federal civil service structure, so he probably gave the slot to whoever had undecided

Some contract jobs na blood moneyoo infact you'll earn 10yrs salary of a federal govt worker in one year. Though he was carried away while money was flowing in without investing.

Contract job is blood money if you own the business. Not when you are working for the contractor

There are people like that, I know of someone that has connections to fix people up with government jobs, but he won’t fix himself up cause he prefers to be his own boss.

True. In the case you know, the person is the business owner. But from this story, it looks like his brother is an employee working for a business owner.

Isn't it obvious the contract job pays more than the federal job, his focus was the money not the security, his mumuism is certified.

I’d agree with you. Also, he may not have had the required qualifications into a level with decent pay in Federal civil service structure.

Is the only problem here losing his job, money?

- No stories of infidelity on her part?
- Had there been relative peace since the marriage?
- Can we then say that, apart from her love of money, she was a good wife?

But bro, how can your brother be in a contract job and he fixed two of his in-laws in ‘well-paying’ Federal Government jobs with job security while he worked in a place without job security?
