Nigeria depends on the sales of crude oil to meet her budget, to be able to fund education, security, health, infrastructure and also to pay salaries. If Nigeria is unable to meet up it's expected daily sales of crude oil, this will greatly affect the budget of the country and will be felt by the Citizens in every sector from education to Healthcare, transportation to agriculture, security and in other areas. I have been playing a role as part of a team that helps to ensure that Nigeria's crude oil sales target is met. I've been involved in maintenance, installation and repair of critical infrastructure such as flow stations crude oil pipelines gas plants, FPSOs and so on. As a safety professional, it is part of my responsibility to ensure that the hardworking men and women involved in these mostly high-risk operations can work safely and at the end of the day go back home safely to meet their families. I am proud to say that we have never experienced or witnessed any major accident and we have never recorded any fatality. |

Aaronsrod:The LORD has not given me the spirit of bondage to fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. It is the goodness of God that draws men to repentance. God is Love. Love the Lord with all your heart. There is no fellowship in fear. But with joy we draw from the well of salvation. We love Him because He first loved us and gave himself for us. Perfect love casts out fear. |

The military are trying to wake up a sleeping giant. The Militants can only be compared to the 7 headed hydra. Creating chaos in the Niger Delta will only affect the Nigerian economy and the military. The Militants are well armed, more experienced, and now they have much more funds than at the beginning of the militancy struggle. The soldiers may attack communities and kill innocent civilians, but the moment the Militants open camps and start attacks, they will kill many more soldiers just like before. They will halt oil production and all oil company workers will shut down the platforms and flee. The army cannot win the Militants in Niger Delta. It is impossible. I have worked in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea for several years as a HSSE Consultant, and I know the Militants have the upper hand anyday, anytime in the Niger Delta region. Militants have upgraded firepower, faster speedboats and gun boats, and they have more knowledge of the swamp, creeks and rivers. They can lay ambush and finish off soldiers easily. Anyone edging the army to create violence in the Niger Delta region is doing so selfishly to benefit from the budget of battle operations. The soldiers sent to the battle will be killed for nothing. Respect the Niger Delta. Keep peace |
