seunmsg: Oshiomhole is going nowhere. He was elected for a four year term and it is only democratic and fair to allow him complete his tenure. So many of the governors calling for his removal have performed woefully without anybody asking for their removal.
Our political elites need to allow democracy to rule the internal affairs of their parties. Party officials elected for a specific term must be allowed to complete their tenure. It is anti democratic to be pushing for the removal of an elected party chairman midway into his tenure. There is nothing anti democratic or wanting to remove a party official using legitimate process, if the party rules allows that then so be it. However I do not see any reason to remove Oshiomole since he has largely achieved what party are expected to achieve, WIN. |

Simplyleo: Come, I don't understand. Is Nigeria by any chance thinking about embarking on nuclear power project? Hmmm.
Not just about the technology involved oh. Sustained required maintenance is the most important o. We can hire experts from abroad to come install, but will they be around to maintain? Even disposal of some radioactive substances is as important as installing them. When UK started Nuclear power, they were rightly told you could fit the waste in a briefcase and keep it in your drawer today -decades later- they have built underground silos to store the waste coming from their power plants. The point is there is so much to consider in the Nuclear business and the sheer incompetence of an average Nigerian should be one of the utmost consideration. |

jahsharon: The group of idiots still lost. Tell the useless Sheu Gumni to bring out the result of the election in his polling unit, Buhari still whipped Atikuchukwu there even after Atikuchukwu bribed the useless clergy.
Even in Bishop Oyedepo's polling unit, Buhari won.
In Obasanjo's polling unit, Buhari won.
The worst case is the Atikuchukwu polling unit where Buhari defeated Atikuchukwu by 278 to 276.
Yet these idiots are saying Buhari rigged. Did Buhari rig Atikuchukwu in Atikuchukwu's polling booth? Did Buhari rig Atikuchukwu in Obasanjo's polling unit? Did Buhari rig Atikuchukwu in Bishop Oyedepo's polling unit? Atilose is dumb and he knows it. Gumi is positioning himself for the next maga, maybe Atiku will service his account if he tries his luck again. |

mrvitalis: Firstly I farm rice have lost over 3 million to rice farm
2 comparing oil to farming shows your level of economics
3 even if all Nigerian farmers farm cassava convert it to chip we can't still meet world demand
4 ( not for you but for who ever gonna read this ) Based on present condition
A hectare of rice farm yields at most 3 tons international price for rice is 450 dollars ...so it saves us (450*3 ) =1350 dollars
Using the same farm to farm cassava under great condition we get 40 tons of cassava ...which gives 10 tons of cassava chip China buys at 450 dollars per ton ...so this makes us 4500 dollars ... If we import 3 tons of rice we still have 3150 dollars left
the above is called theory of comparative advantage ...focusing your energy on this that give u higher output for same input
If we actually want to farm rice ,development of seeds that can yield 10 to 12 tons like Thai land should be our major concern for now farming Sir, we all can't be cassava farmers. We need rice to satisfy our local market |

Although China offers an alternative to the Bretton woods institutions of IMF and World bank. China itself cannot be trusted. None of them can be trusted, but at least China will not tell you to cease feeding the poor just to get a loan from them. Their rates and penalties aren't as bad as theirs. But we truly need to rapidly diversify our economy to avoid being subjects of foreign lords. |

Amucha: How can you collect more taxee when companies are closing down, increased retrenchment and unemployment, border closure and increased emigration? First there are many thriving companies who still dodge taxes and new employment is being created. How does border closure affects tax collections? It smugglers that refuse to pay tax in the form of import duty that the suffer, they were never going to pay tax. Increased emigration I didn't know half of Nigeria have left even Americans emigrate to other countries, big deal. |
