Iamgrey5: Government needs to improve revenue to assure creditors it can pay his loans
It's kind of cycle under development world bank and imf trap developing countries.
1) devalue your currency
2) cut public spending
3) Privatise profitable public institutions
4) increase government revenue
5) Further increase poverty while investors in the first world smile to the bank.
6) After years of suffering, Rating agencies increase your credit ratings to B+ pending when the third world country borrow more money. They are undermining our capacity to borrow, they want to make borrowing more costly for Nigeria. But sai Baba will not be hindered, he has continue to defy their foolish advise that causes Agentinas economy to tank and Egypt to make a u turn from completely floating their currency. |

What's the total output for casava do the maths then u would see ..if you are smart enough Is that all? Empty block headed logic. Oil makes tons of money, let all Nigerians run into oil production. The smugglers errconomists logic will never make no sense, it does not believe in growth nor does it believe in diversification. All it appeals to is making Nigeria unworkable. That remains unacceptable. |

So why would any body with a brain pay to listen to her? Talking about her father for 2 hrs is quite boring. I would prefer Boko Haram kidnaps me than this rubbish. But you can waste your data to comment on a topic relating to her, the funny youngsters and their garrulous reasoning. |

pocohantas: You are right, I agree we have to pay for development, but we are not even seeing anything on ground. I bet if there was power, good roads and enabling environment for life and business- every sane human would be okay with paying.
This problem is more than Buhari tbh. Maybe he worsened it, but the system has never been in place. Yes because much in ground but there is a silver lining. Snlince PMB came FG no longer borrow to pay salaries it and it introduced a very successful social program that has seen more Nigerians get loans, job and income to the very poor. Money borrowed is now used to fund strictly capital projects. There remains many problems in government and how it is run but with consistency and a little faith in government only then will people be willing to pay tax. My problem remains the shameless and idiotic elites who get the most benefit from the country who serially compare us to developed countries when people actually pay taxes and VATs as high as 30% but still steal electricity, refuse to pay tax and even custom duties. They seem hell bent on sabotaging the same country that they looted . |

Forcing us into rice production cost us close to lose 4000 dollars per hectare ,a crop we are presently comparatively disadvantages
Ask your if u are an investor would u invest in Nigeria ...when u have Ethiopia offering everything we have to offer and more Nairaland errconomists, Agriculture is it advantage most of the rural population is into farming and most of the rural population actually consume local rice before now. How rice became a disadvantage in a country that has always produced rice is just another smugglers themed logic by wannabe errconomists |

pocohantas: Credit rating determines your ability to pay back debts (simply put). Investors use it all the time.
(Moody's) Starts from Aaa and slides to a C, with C being the lowest. B somewhere in the middle and B2 in the lower middle. So, currently, your dearest Nigeria is on B2 (High risk) and they can easily slide to a B3 and ultimately a C (variant).
We do not have much oil to sell anymore. Only an increase in our non-oil revenue can help us escape from impending doom. At least we now know why baba wants to kill us with tax. Money must be made to finance capital projects. But sir, only a fool will not know government had a cash flow problem, because Nigerians don't pay tax especially the rich. If you want to enjoy infrastructure we must sadly be ready to pay for it. Even when Jonathan was in power he borrowed to pay salaries... The truth is we are not ready to pay for development. |

1. Islam was propagated in Nigeria via war ??
2. That ISIS are all Muslims ??
3. That Boko Haram want Nigeria to be declared Islamic state ??,
3 That all terrorists all Muslims but I cannot say all Muslims are terrorists
Now, tell me any state in the south or maybe Rivers, Abia, Delta... That are 100% Christians indigenous, that has established a religious law to check on citizens both the non-Christians , Pls just name one if there is... We know what is happening in Nigeria , we know what some of want... But. In Christianity, we don't fight for God, even if u blasphem or mess with the Holy bible, Is only God that can judge u, we cannot fight for God...Even President Trump alleged trying to ban Muslims in US , it's regarded as self righteousness , which will not wash away all his sins on judgement day , including Gov Wike who is saying Rivers is a christain state, if he is still a sinner , not yet a born again, he is still not a Christian... The brain behind Christain were those regarded as Christ-like...as such, self righteousness doesn't make u a Christian or a believer until u are free from sin...but you always attack christians without sharing the good word from the holy Qur'an killing people imposing Al jaizyal...with what is in Surat Al baqara 195 vs 2, which I dare u to screen shot for me, tell me why we won't have ISIS , Boko Haram, Terrorists ??... Tell me why President Trump will not want to Ban Muslims and Wike not to declared Rivers a christians state which their self righteousness with is not supported by the HOLY BIBLE ?? [/s] So you agree Muslim children from Kano were forced into Christianity but you said it never happen, I just jingled your memory and you are writing lengthy apologia to dodge that fact! SO U MEAN , THERE IS NO CULTISTs IN SOKOTO, KANO , LAGOS ...Rivers is the only states with cultists ??, After the election name just one incident of cultists fracas , I will name more than three in Kano, Lagos(more than 10 cases) , Sokoto,...I pray God change these cultists in the nation which is as a results of poverty if trace deeply and Govt involvement... Rivers is a Christian state and those trying to bring in Islam via politics will not succeed, you are free to take the Good word of Islam to Rivers people in a peaceful manner , if they find faith in it so be it , they can embrace Islam, but Not with Threat or political favour or war, Nigeria belongs all... Wike knows what he is saying, if not the south west Muslims ,I don't think we will be taking about this by now ...In christianity, nobody FORCE U TO PRACTISE OR REMAIN IN THE FAITH or impose any law on u , it's a private issue...but we know what's happening in Kano(3%, Christians) ,Gombe( 40%) Bauchi(25%) , Kebbi(10%) Adamawa 45,% ... by the govt there infact, Sokoto(3%christians indegines) 4times the Muslims in Rivers has been officially declared STATE OF THE CALISPHATE and nobody is saying anything...but just Wike verbal declaration is giving you people sleepless night Ko ??, God will always expose u people...We don't fight for God, its a sin. Editorial moronisity. First Syria is a one party state which imposes secularism on everyone and still manipulates religious sectarianism for to perpetuate its hold on power. In fact, protest against the one party state led to the bloody suppression of protesters which resorted into the war. Any pretense of placing violence of political actors at the door steps religion is ingenious and plainly stewpid. In every conflict in the world there is always a material thing being fought for it could be power, oil or money rarely is religion at the heart of the conflict. The secularists they worship in Syria has almost destroyed their country with chemical weapons used Hezbollah to fight his enemies. A faithless human being can be very dangerous when his interest is threatened.
Whenever Christians like the sort you find in Punch who play around with religion, wants to criticise the political choices of his co religionist he must almost always bring Muslims into the mix to assuage their brethren pains. This only goes to show the lack of integrity of such entity and persons. |
