I have every reason to think Nigeria ranks top among underdeveloped countries in Africa. Our numerical strength is indirectly proportional to our mental strength. Or how else can one explain the height of this stupidity foisted on us by zombified Nigerians?

Here are some people awakening us and calling us back to our senses, but it's obvious majority of us are inseparable from Buhari's mumu. Funny enough, some of these protesters (e.g. Jim Iyke, Deji Adeyanju etc) can always jet out if this unprecedented hardship continues in the land while majority of their critics have probably not eaten today or have no hope of tonight's dinner.

It's the height of insult on us collectively for one man who's been catered for, for virtually all his lifetime, to keep his illness from us while our money is being used to 'service' and prolong the remainder of his lifetime. Only God knows how much this cruel and insensitive government has spent this year alone over his foreign medical bills, estacode for aides and other miscellaneous while we are languishing in poverty.

And i hear some educated illiterates say there's no vacuum in government. My question to them is this:

1. Who does Osinbajo's job while he 'acts' for Buhari?
2. For how long can the acting be effective if a man is doing what's meant to be done by two people?
3. Can those people keep an employee who requests for an indefinite medical leave and allow him enjoy all his benefits without disclosing the nature of his illness, and for how long can they tolerate such?

Sir, this your post is so motivating that I feel like moving to Abuja to join the protest tomorrow. Gosh, we are damned too docile in this animal farm. Its already so disgusting.

Last Sunday, a statement already being prepared by the office of the Acting President(according to Femi Adesina on a channelstv program)was short circuited by another, we were told was from the President, who should be on medical leave.

This tells me the Acting President is powerless. What do you think we can do in our little corner to add steam to this protest? We must rise up now since SNG no longer exists.

ohaneze Ndigbo, Ondo state chapter in an
address to press men in Akure, Ondo state
today:

Gentlemen of the Press,
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo is deeply concerned about
the recent massacre of innocent lives, which
occurred at Ozubulu Ekwusigo local government
area of Anambra state and as such, we want to
make our position known.

1. Ohanaeze Ndigbo condemns in strong terms,
the killing of Igbos who gathered on Sunday 6th
August 2017 to worship God in a church at
Ozubulu by yet to be identified gunmen. This is
dastardly, inhumane and a crime that can be
likened to an act of terrorism.

2. Therefore, we are calling on the Presidency,
the Inspector general of Police and Anambra
state Governor to apprehend, investigate and
prosecute the perpetrators and everyone found
involved in one way or the other, in order to
avert uninformed reprisal attacks.

3. We also want to express our disappointment
at the rather late condemnation that came from
the Presidency, which goes to show the low
level of concern of the government for the
ordinary citizens. Furthermore, we are not sure
of the authenticity of the statement that
eventually came, since it is common knowledge
that our President is on medical leave, which
leaves the bulk on the table of the Acting
President. This position is further confirmed by
the comment made by the Special Adviser to the
President on media and publicity Femi Adesina,
on a Channel’s Television programme last night,
that a statement is on the way from the office of
the Acting President. How come the statement
that was released hours later came from the
President himself?

Based on the foregoing, we demand to know
what happened to the statement from the Acting
President and we believe it is now apt to ask
same question that was asked by the past
Secretary to the government of the federation,
Babachir Lawal “Who is the Presidency?”,
because we believe that the only Presidency that
should exist as of today, is that which is headed
by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo
and his aides, pending when the substantive
President Buhari resumes office.

As the buildings will be used by people who may probably have cars.
What about the unbuilt area? soakaway & the rest?
Be upfront with your client, even if it is half of government size plot it won't work as she is already bent on a bungalow. Except u want to design spaces far from standard.

Thanks for the buttress. First statement about this whole thing was unequivocal. But then, we are trained to find creative ways of solving problems. A 60x120 plot can well accommodate a condominium of one unit 3bedroom and 2units of 2bedroom. Sometimes, client's seemingly bizzare requests help pros push limits. Flexibility is the key word.

Something is definitely not right. This statement should be coming from the office of the Acting President, not the substantive since he is on leave. I was shocked when Channels TV news addressed the Acting President yesterday as Vice President. Please tell me, is the President back? I have been refreshing all news media portals since yesterday for breaking news to no avail.

Meanwhile, the media aide of the president, Femi Adesina had said on a Channels TV programme, "Politics Today" anchored by Seun okinbaloye that a statement was on the way from the office of the Acting President, to which Prof. Chidi Odinkalu expressed disappointment on the basis that such statement was coming rather late, only for us to get a statement from the President himself two hours later.

I guess this is the juncture where all good citizens must ask this seemingly inevitable and apt question; "who is the presidency?" We definitely don't want some faceless folks governing us.

We live in a world where folks believe it has to be ugly and poor to be holy. One of the reasons why folks have reservations against this fine man of God is because it is somehow against the norm to find a soft spoken, handsome and maybe a dandy serving God with all his heart, talk less or should it be talk more of being an MOG.


I do not attend the church but I have followed his messages closely and I must say he is the most consistent in terms of deep spiritual understanding. The revelations he shared years ago is what others, especially his critics, have just come to realise and subsequently teach in recent times. This tells me that he has a wholistic view of the word of God. I can't forget what he said in one of his teachings: "This thing we are teaching, is for real". For those of us who have engaged on heavenly visions against societal norms and routine, that is a profound statement. What we are doing IS FOR REAL. He is truly worth hearing.

U can achieve that with either a U-shaped or L-shaped structure on 2plots conveniently or rather tightly on a plot and a half.

As for your friend, it could be that her plot is a government size plot, which is usually twice the normal family sized plot. For instance, in Ondo state, a government size plot is around 120ft x 120ft while the family size is 60ft x 120ft. So, half of the govt size is equal to one family size. Hope you catch the drift.

That will be herculean except of course, if she intends to do it with extra floors on top. Otherwise, the rooms will be terribly out of scale and standard government setbacks abused.

I am so relieved with this comment because I have really been wondering why anyone who proclaims to love God will do anything against His Church. I have maintained in my replies to several social media evangelists, who think bringing the Church to the court of public opinion is equal to doing God service, to read James 5:16. Our Lord Jesus said, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against her and He has been doing that for over 2000years now successfully, before any of the town criers were born. What makes these self appointed criers think their services are needed is what bothers me or are they really members of the gates of ...?

Come to think of it, the church survived before you were born. What makes you think she won't survive despite you or even after you are gone?

Please note, every time you make a statement against the church of God, in the form of criticisms of M.O.G's publicly, even if they have behaved badly, you are weakening some people's faith and might as well be working directly against the mandate you were handed. It indirectly puts you on the other side alongside the gates of ....you know what. It is written, that a time will come when those who persecute you will think they are doing God service.

If there is anything you have against the Church of God, sort it out in-house via the assistance of other objective leaders, mentors and authorities that exist, within the body. It doesn't look to me like the pastor in question is the G.O of the ministry, since its a student church.

Again, I am appalled by the several criticism here, despite a one sided reportage. Whatever happened to objectivity?

I asked because your questions are basics & as urban & regional planner, u should be talking about zoning ordinances...Or does job interviews for u guys also cut across architectural/structural designs sir?

To your questions;
150 walls for buildings without suspended floors, 225 walls can still be used.
225 walls for buildings with suspended floor or covering a large floor area.
Dimensions of stairs, windows, doors & room sizes varies, depending on the type of building..

To add to your contribution
150mm for internal partition walls(non load bearing)
225mm for external and load bearing walls.
Standard dimension for stairs: Risers-150mm, Threads-300mm. The width of the staircase itself will be determined by the architects design choices and ratio of available space. But shouldn't be less than1800mm, so that to and fro can at least be 3ft each.

Windows width - from 1200mm room, 600mm toilet
Door width - from 900mm depending on use, 750mm can go for toilet but no longer in vogue.
Room sizes - Standard is 3000mm X 4000mm, although minimum of 2800mm X 3000mm where space needs to be managed. But of course, you can go as large as the client demands. Cheers.

What can one develop on a 50 x 100 ft plot to maximize it. Thinking of renting it out

I can give you a good architectural design of a condominium containing 1no 3bedroom and 2nos 2bedroom apartments.

On the other hand, if you wouldn't mind a storey building, could give you a block of 6nos2bedroom apartments or 4nos 3bedroom apartments or 2units of 3bedroom duplex sharing an internal partition wall, otherwise called Twin duplex.
