Politics / New Nigeria Team by stanveron: 9:30am On Aug 10, 2018
We all started out as opponents, became friends and now a team, our commitment to produce the next president of Nigeria is unrivalled and this determination has changed our political views and that of our supporters, we have put the country before anything and everything else, our collective vision is bigger than our individual goals and egos, we know our strength is in our unity, and we have continued to demonstrate that spirit of the Nigerian team.

There is beauty in our diversity, we have seen the potentials of a working Nigeria, where We put our differences aside and pursue a common goal, where no one is working against our collective success, where tribe and religion do not matter, our best of brains assemble to give their best for the benefit of all, where no man is superior and none is treated disdainfully. A Nigeria of woven diversities beautifully weaved in patterns and colourfully adorned.

A Nigeria where the vultures do not assemble to share our patrimony, where politics is honourable and men of distinguished character occupy public offices for the purpose of service and value addition not wealth accumulation acquisition at the expense of the citizens.

To us, its no longer a competition but a journey towards rescuing our country from the men of yesterday who have held the nation down for years and reduced us to a laughing stock in the international community.
Our esprit de corps is one for all and all for one, the New Nigeria is our project and we shall stop at nothing untill we deliver on this God given mandate.

Yesterday, we had 14 young presidential aspirants under one roof to chart a way forward, amazing group of brilliant dynamic minds, this is the beginning of the new Nigeria, it's an honour to have been part of history.

Our ambitions took the back seat while the vision of making Nigeria great was on the front burner.
I have no doubt in my mind that on this photograph stands the next president of Nigeria.

Politics / Political Collateral (1) by stanveron: 8:37am On Jul 23, 2018
POLITICAL COLLATERAL (1)

One thing is clear to all of us, politics as it is today only cares about power and the holders. The people on the streets are nothing but political collateral, they use you to bargain and dump you once power is secured.

The people are only useful during the negotiations, they count the people as votes and elections materials every 4years, once the deals are sealed and the proceeds are shared they move on and begin to plot the next scheme, the people are left with the various social challenges to complain about for another four years.

The most lucrative business in Nigeria now is the political business and a lot of people have moved into that sector with expectations to hit or make it big in life.
Like yahoo-yahoo and illegal drug dealers, many on the political street today are here to make ends meet and acquire that luxurious life of drug barons they see in the movies.

They know nothing about the moral burden of leadership, they do not understand that occupying leadership positions comes with responsibilities - to them, it's only about power and the control of resources.

We as a people deserve better and should demand for better performance from people in leadership. We must understand that the nation owes you the basic things from security, to welfare and even the opportunity to thrive.

Nigeria today is a country with the highest number of refugees in and out of the country, the streets of Napoli, Rome, Torino and Milano are all littered by our sisters in search for survival, the hospitals in the U.K. U.S. and Canada are buzzing with black faces majority of them from Nigeria, farm plantations in Europe to factories all across the globe, our people are scattered around, because man must survive.

We have allowed the nation's best assets to evaporate from the country, they are building other countries around the world! While our nation lies in desolation, our political elites travel to these areas to enjoy functional facilities, they watch in amazement how machines are being used for almost everything yet, nothing speaks to their conscience, they come back to tell us to be patient or they throw the usual tantrums of previous this and previous that.

Many of our people live in slavery across the world, many are being used as drug mules, some are being exploited as maids, some are in sugar plantations with no salaries, while millions are on our streets today hoping and praying for their opportunity to travel out - willing to risk their lives on the open seas or through bush paths just to escape this country.

I'm aware of farms in other parts of the world that are hoping to have migrants come and offer them cheap labour, in order to exploit them and continue to brag about big economic GDPs and how their people have best living conditions.

The political elites have continued to delay our process as a nation, they have continued to drag us back and are chasing our best brains out of our shores.
The country's potentials have remained untapped, our people's energies and minds remained locked in, the nation's small businesses are struggling while big multinationals continue to export our wealth, some industries in China, korea and Japan are thriving because of the huge Nigerian market, our jobs are being exported, yet the only thing that the politicians are concerned about is power sharing deals.

Our economic policies are only effective to the extent that it touches the man on the street, when it creates opportunity for law abiding citizens who have what it takes.
A government should ensure that lives are secured tightly, and that they have the opportunity to thrive and compete with other citizens of the world.
Good healthcare systems, education, infrastructure and sanctity of lives - these are the things government should exist for, not just power and display of affluence as it's currently being done by our political class.

We must begin to demand for the right things from those who offer to serve us.
Nigeria is not governed by kings who we worship but by democratic leaders who we entrust our rights to ensure that we all leave under a constitution.
LEADERSHIP IS BASICALLY ABOUT SERVICE, NOT RULERSHIP.
Citizens must demand for their benefits as members of this estate.

Nigerians and other Africans were being traded along side other commodities in the open market in the western world many years ago but other African countries have long started moving, Nigeria does not have any excuse.

God bless the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

Politics / NIGERIA That Belongs To All Of Us by stanveron: 8:10pm On Jul 17, 2018
In an interaction with some youth today, I was close to tears when one them said he is ready to pay N500,000 to get a job with any government parastatal, jobs are being sold to young Nigerians each day or reserved for the children of "big men" in our country, while the children of nobodies are left on the street to hustle to survive at all cost by all means.

Our youth who are supposed to be the source of our national wealth are the ones who now have to buy government jobs or trek round the street in a single shirt and worn out shoes, while the children of the powerful men turn down job offers from choicest conglomerates.

The young men I met today have given up on the society, they don't see hope anywhere, they are devastated, they have been abandoned by the ruling class, they are disappointed that no one really cares for them, so they don't even want to invest their time, their mind or even their hopes in Nigeria.

My heart bleeds for every struggling youth of this nation, those who have spent their emotions, their expectations their hopes and everything but seem to have nothing to look up to anymore, it is time for us to know that we are our own last hope, we must come together to rejig our society, reconstruct the country for ourselves, it will definitely cost us pains, tears and sweat, but in the end our story shall pleasing to the ear, future generations shall be grateful, our story shall be strange to them because they won't experience what we are going through now.

A NEW NIGERIA that belongs to all of us is POSSIBLE.
LET'S WORK IT OUT!

Politics / The Alternative Candidates by stanveron: 8:31pm On Jul 15, 2018
Some may be motivated by the glory of the office they seek to occupy, some others by the resources that the office commands but as for me it's only about services to my nation and her people, a vision to transform our nation from a third world nation to a semblance of a first world country.

A country where a son of nobody can dream to become somebody without having to know "anybody" that Nigeria is within our view.

Others may laugh off our efforts but our commitment is total and our determination is undiluted.

We dare to believe!

Politics / I Spent Millions Of Naira On Campaigns For Buhari In 2014- Matthias Tsado – Pres by stanveron: 1:46pm On Jul 12, 2018
I Spent Millions of Naira on Campaigns for Buhari in 2014- Matthias Tsado – Presidential Aspirant.

41 year old Matthias Tsado hardly stops talking about Nigeria. He carries the problems of the nation in his heart like his own personal burden and is convinced that any patriotic Nigerian should, and as a result, be compelled to want to cause a change to happen. Well when reminded that the current government rode to power on the slogan of change, and that change for many Nigerians have been long in coming, Tsado said, The APC government doesn’t understand the urgency of time. In this interview with reportnigeria’s Gbenga Samuel-Wemimo, Tsado an Engineer by profession, declares his action plan to transform Nigeria within his first term, if elected President in 2019. Matthias who has also explored the banking terrain says if he becomes President in 2019, he will review the 52 % revenue allocation to the federal arm of government from the nation’s purse.

GBENGA: What is your motivation for your Presidential Aspiration?

MATTHIAS: The first thing is, everything in Nigeria is not working to motivate every well-meaning Nigerian to try to do something about the situation of the Country. You have a Country that is supposed to be one of the top ranked in the world, being treated as a nonentity because of bad leadership. Having said that, it is only natural that every patriotic citizen of this country will become uncomfortable with the way things are and would want to change the system. So I am motivated by the need… that need for us to have something completely new, that paradigm shift. A shift from where you have leaders who just move around in big vehicles and solve no problem. So basically I am motivated by the need for us to see a new country, for us to match other nations of the world in terms of development, both in infrastructural and human development. So basically that’s my motivation.

GBENGA: Three years after this government came to power, there is despondency in the land, but there are also those who are of the view that significantly, this government has recorded some moderate achievements. What are the wrongs of the Buhari Government that you want to make right, if given the opportunity?

MATTHIAS: I think first of all, this government does not understand the urgency of time. They don’t understand the essence or the need for citizens to be engaged. They don’t understand that in the 21st century, when you want to build a Country, it is not built by the king, it is but built by every single person, it is built by the ability of the King to motivate and inspire the people. So if you have that kind of situation in the Country, where people are being killed on a daily basis, you have a situation in the Country, where poverty is on the rise, insecurity is on the rise, you have a situation where somebody cannot buy common petrol on the streets at anytime they want; And these are the things they said they wanted to come and change, the corruption stuff they said they wanted to come and fight, where is the result? They Promised to address insecurity, where is the result? The employment they said they wanted to create, where is the result? We have 36million Nigerians who are unemployed as we speak. You know, these are the same things that they said they wanted to come and fight. So really if you ask, what has changed?

GBENGA: But you were once a strong supporter of President Buhari?

MATTHIAS: In 2014/ 2015, I was a very strong supporter of the person of President Muhammadu Buhari. I risked a whole lot of things, friends, family members, just because I was standing with a man that they could not see, didn’t understand what he was bringing to the table. I spent my hard earned money, millions of naira, on his campaign in Kaduna, organizing all manner of things, printing all manner of items in support of this same government that I want to run against. Because it was like, this is the man that will save the Country. In fact on the day of the election, I had to leave my house to get sleep in a hotel, to ensure that I voted But unfortunately, two months into the administration, i started asking questions.

GBENGA: And you can back up this claim on your expenses incurred on Buhari’s 2014 campaign with evidence like bank statements?

MATTHIAS: payments for the campaign activities were not documented. But I was organizing rallies, printing t-shirts, pamphlets for people in Kaduna. But I have never met President Muhammadu Buhari in person. I didn’t think I would run against him then, But now I can tell him to his face, that not just the money, but the trust that was broken is worth more than a billion.

GBENGA: so your conviction was based on the person of Buhari, not on his party, the APC?

MATTHIAS: it was on Buhari. Coz I recall I was his supporter in 2011. I think some of us have sacrificed a lot to prove that we are patriotic and serious about the desire to see a Country that works.

GBENGA: Were you a card carrying member of the APC?

MATTHIAS: No, I only believed in the person of Muhammadu Buhari.

Gbenga: But then, there are those that would say there is no magic wand to solving Nigeria’s problems. How would you address the problem of Power for instance, if you became President?

Matthias Tsado: You See, I have always said, Power is divided into two; Now you have power for residential consumption, and you have power for commercial consumption. So what are the implications of the availability of these two types of Power. One; you have commercial power needed to power industries. Nigeria is a Country that is supposed to be a mixed economy, where you have the capitalists and you also have some form of subsidies in government. Currently power is being subsidized for majority in the Country, which is the R2. Now lets compare commercial power in Nigeria with commercial power in other places of the world. In the USA, the power that is needed to power industries, costs about 46naira in naira equivalent. The power that you need in Nigeria, costs about 28 naira in equivalent, in commercial quantity, for those on commercial lines. So what stops Nigeria from getting power that will be say 36 naira or 40 naira, and then ask this same power generating companies to come to Nigeria to sell their power to industries at the same rate being bought from them in the US and other Countries like US, China or India. Now if you do that, it means that companies will no longer have the excuse of Power being a problem in Nigeria and for that reason they cannot come. So for instance you need 50 or 100 megawatts to power a refinery. Then you ask GE, come and generate 50 or 100 megawatts for us to power this refinery.

Gbenga: This is ambitious! Where will you get the funding?

Matthias: Its not you! This is a business. GE is coming to do it’s own business. GE is coming to generate power to sell to the man who is setting up his own refinery. So the business is between the two of them, not between Government and GE. So the good thing is, you have been able to open up the space…

Gbenga: What about infrastructure?

Matthias: What infrastructure do you need?

Gbenga: Infrastructure required for the generation of power, to set up the power plants?

Matthias: Now you have a company like GE with power infrastructure that are mobile. All they need to do is deploy these infrastructure wherever needed in the Country. So they bring this GE trucks into Nigeria, to come and power for example a refinery. The cost of generating power for a refinery, let’s say It’s 50naira per kilowatt per hour. The outcome is a profitable relationship between the refinery and the power generating company. The benefit for Nigeria is, job creation, fuel is being refined in your Country and it will bring down the cost of foreign exchange and all of these will affect your economy positively. Now this is the thinking that should come from people that want to become our leaders. Liberalize that sector. Then when we talk about power for residential users, why can’t we talk about alternative sources of electricity for the locals? For the people in the villages. Can’t they generate power on their own, using solar panels, using wind energy and all manner of sources that are available now. And then you generate in small quantities. You see because one thing that we need to do first of all, is to disintegrate our grid system. A mono-grid system is obviously not working. There’s no way that everybody that needs power will be plugged into one system. We should be able to liberalize that sector. See what we did to the telecoms industry! If you are able to achieve this feat in the telecoms industry, what stops Nigeria from doing same with the power sector? I don’t understand!

GBENGA: So how long will it take you to actualize these reforms?

MATTHIAS: look! All this can be done within a year. It’s just about you having the political will, and also the knowledge that an economic policy that is being powered by our own factors, not an economic policy conceived by IMF or World Bank. An economic policy that you sat down to think about, while considering your environment and peculiarities. So if you do that within the first three months of your administration and then get the legislation to allow these things work, it should be feasible within one year. But then there is the issue of legislations being delayed by the national assembly, then you carry the Citizens along, engage the Citizens. What about the President engaging the Citizens to the extent that he lets them know that these are the plans, these are our intentions, this is what the legislature is doing, you put them under pressure. Look at what Donald Trump is doing!

GBENGA: How will you tackle insecurity?

MATTHIAS: I don’t understand how we intend to solve the issue of insecurity without information, without Data. “We need data! We need data! We need data! You need the information of almost everybody in the Country. If you can do that, you will reduce the rate at which crime is committed by almost half, because if you commit it you will be caught. Then the second thing Is, border security. How are people just able to walk into Nigeria at Will!? How can we stop these things? Look if it’s necessary for us to build a wall, we should build it. Do nations have walls at borders, yes! Do nations have barb wires as borders, yes! Then another issue is, how well motivated are the security agents? How well equipped are they? When you look at an average security man in Nigeria, does he appear to be well equipped? Is he well motivated? Does he carry out his job gallantry? Is he happy doing what he is doing? How did he get into the force in the first place? Because majority of police officers in Nigeria went into the force because they are no jobs.

GBENGA: The former PDP led government borrowed 6 trillion naira in 5 years, the APC led government has borrowed more than 7 trillion naira in 3 years, still many state governments are owing salaries. How do you get around the problem of funding?

MATTHIAS: The issue is, you have a government system that is run wrongly. How do you run a government system where the Citizens are not carried along? Majority of Nigerians don’t pay tax and government does not care because Government does not need their taxes. If we can deal with the issue of taxation in Nigeria, and then, how do you deal with it? Are people economically empowered? If Government can generate its funds from the economic activity of the Citizens, and this is what functional, normal governments do. Government cannot just be selling crude oil and say this is where our funds come from, or be borrowing from the international community and say, this is where we fund our budget from. No, it shouldn’t be so. And how do you achieve this, have a policy thrust that ensures that everything used in Nigeria is locally produced, made in Nigeria. If you can produce the things you use in this Country, then you have an economic value that when it is created, it can affect Government’s income. But when you don’t create that kind of value, how do you ask the Citizens for taxes.

GBENGA: Some hold the view that the problem with Nigeria, is as much a problem of its unique federal structure as it is with leadership. If you became President, How would you address the problem of restructuring?

MATTHIAS: Gbenga the issue is this, you have a system that is dysfunctional. But even worse off is that you have a people that are extremely dysfunctional. Who does this over-bloated system of government favor? Do government officials have to be paid so much?

GBENGA: But then how do you get around the people in Government who favor this structure, can you act alone?

MATTHIAS: I can’t act alone, but then if you’re coming into government with a different set of people, things will be different. You see, there is something that makes leadership very interesting and very effective, its team work. Get a team of patriotic Nigerians that truly want Nigeria to succeed, not some set of people who are waiting for political reward. If you begin to have people in Government who see leadership as a responsibility and not as a reward, then you begin to see how things will function effectively in Nigeria. Now let’s look at the local government. It’s uniquely run perhaps only in Nigeria. If you have a local government system that handles primary health care, that handles education, basic sanitation, street numbering, community policy, when won’t you see result. I think the most important thing we should first of all deal with in Nigeria, is leadership at all levels.

GBENGA: So if you became President, You’re not necessarily going to tweak Nigeria’s federal structure?

MATTHIAS: If I became President, there are certain things that we would look at…

GBENGA: like..?

MATTHIAS: I will review the structure that allocates 52% revenue to the federal government. I will look at the number of people that you really need working in the federal civil service, and that brings me to another point. You see majority of those who get federal government jobs see it as a reward. Because they see it as though, if you get a federal government job, whether you go to work or not, at the end of the month, you will get paid. Now that issue of productivity is a big problem. It must be addressed. if you have an over bloated federal civil service, then you look for ways to reduce it or you make it functional. Until these issues are not addressed, even if you split Nigeria into piecemeal, we will still have the same problems.

GBENGA: How do you intend to actualize your ambition under a relatively unknown platform, and amidst a political atmosphere that has been heavily monetized? Do you have the financial war chest that can help you secure your party’s presidential ticket?

MATTHIAS: First of all, the entire nation today is in search of a third force, a new face of hope, people that represent something different. We are. We represent that difference. We are the ones speaking about how governance should operate. Majority of Nigerians are also willing to back such people in Government. They are willing to put their funds behind such people. The first aspect of it all, is showing interest that you can do it, and we’ve done that. We’ve been able to get some people to respond to this and who have said, “We know you can do this. Now about politics being heavily monetized; the question we should ask ourselves is, at what point will there be a break? At what point will citizens begin to get involved in electing their leaders. Because you know What, I always tell people, if you’re not a shareholder, you cannot at the end of the day, ask for dividends. If you have a political system, where every 4 years, people are being paid at the polls, they’ve have received their reward. That is the truth, the principle of life. But if you have a system where people invest in the individuals that they want to become their leaders, then they can question them during their period of governance. Because what you have in Nigeria today, is politics upon politics, but governance is missing.

GBENGA: So you believe you can get to Aso villa without a God father?

MATTHIAS: I believe I have made tremendous strides in this process, to this level, without the backing or signature of a godfather. We have thousands and millions of young people across the country who are talking about this project. I think we are setting a standard of how politics should be played in Nigeria, as against how it is practiced currently. I think we need to get to a stage where Nigerians can say, my 500 naira, my small change, let me invest in this candidate, create room for the crowd funding system.

GBENGA: What is your relationship ship with General Theophilus Danjuma?

MATTHIAS: Thank you, Gen T.Y is an elder Statesman who is highly respected by majority of young people, I’m one of such young persons. I admire his bluntness.

GBENGA: Is he your godfather?

MATTHIAS: Absolutely not, I don’t have a godfather in politics, I don’t believe in such, the Nigerian people would be my godfather if there happens to be a need for such.

GBENGA: Earlier you talked about Nigerian politics getting to a stage where the electorate will raise funds for politicians. Do you think you can garner that kind of popular support?

MATTHIAS: We are working extremely hard on getting more popularity. At the moment, it’s a thing that is being done. In the coming days, our voice will become louder in the political space, because there has to be a change. We cannot, because of the fear of how much is needed, refuse to participate. No we can’t.

GBENGA: Do you have the personality that can secure votes from the north and south of Nigeria?

MATTHIAS: I am a man from an interesting background, who represents the hope for the common people. I am someone not born with a silver spoon, but who has risen through life, by personal struggle, and has seen through phases how one has developed over the years. Now I am convinced that the time for a new paradigm shift has come for Nigeria. I represent that paradigm shift. And I believe that this is the clamor of many Nigerians. Because of this, I believe that they will identify with what we’re doing.

GBENGA: And you’re confident that you’ll get your party’s ticket?

MATTHIAS: Now about party ticket, this is very interesting. The Action Democratic Party, ADP has made the process of the primary so transparent in such a way that it is not a delegate system that will be adopted. It has been made in such a way that it is your popularity that will win you your vote, get you the ticket. So we’re reaching out to as many ADP members as possible across the Country, in a bid to sell our ideas to them, get them to buy into the project. So we believe that if the party primaries are done in a free and fair manner, we shouldn’t have any problem.

GBENGA: You think your age will give you an edge over the other aspirants from your party?

MATTHIAS: Age at this level is a plus. Let’s not pretend. Your being agile, your sharpness of your thought process, mental dexterity, being able to get up and go! But is it enough to win you votes, No! I think what is more important is your programme, your plans, your implementation architecture. Those are the things that will convince people to rally behind you

.GBENGA: Mr Matthias Tsado, thank you for your time.

MATTHIAS: The pleasure is mine.

Politics / Speech Delivered On Wednesday, 11 July, 2018 By Adp National Chairman, Engr. Y.y by stanveron: 3:43pm On Jul 11, 2018
Gentlemen and ladies of the Fourth Estate, I welcome you to this Media Briefing on the current political developments at this crucial time in the history of our great nation as we march towards the 2019 elections.

You will recall that on the 9th July, 2018, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in conjunction with about 34 other Political Parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to field a common Presidential Candidate for the 2019 general elections. The Parties are also to collaborate in several other areas to ensure that the APC-led Federal Government is defeated in the impending elections.

Let me say here for the avoidance of doubt that we are not part of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP). ADP is the third force that will provide the Credible Alternative Nigerians passionately yearn for to end hunger, wanton killings and executive lawlessness.

At our inception in June 2017, we proclaimed to Nigerians that ADP is a child of necessity that will deepen democracy and good governance to establish the credible political platform that will rescue the country from the imminent collapse of the political space. We also promised that ADP will introduce a corruption free leadership selection process that will create a new leadership class with commitment, focus and force of will to rebuild the Country after the damage done by PDP and APC.

We vowed that we would provide an All-inclusive Governance Model that would mobilize and unite all Nigerians to build a new nation.

It is incontrovertible that the PDP and APC are two sides of the same coin. For sixteen years, PDP ruled this country with impunity and without regard to the universally accepted norms of democracy. Stealing, misappropriation and all forms of corruption became parts of the state policy.

ADP is not prepared to jettison its values and constitutional provisions like the use of direct primaries as against the often used corrupt delegate system by the other parties in the Coalition. ADP is also not in a hurry to hobnob with those who mismanaged Nigeria for sixteen years and now regrouping in an un-strategic haste to resume unprecedented loot of the nation’s treasury.

It is important to know that those who pushed Nigeria to the precipice, are the drivers of the Coalition and have nothing new to offer. To collaborate with them, is to sleep with strange bedfellows.

The ADP is not averse to any political Coalition that can bring about a positive overhaul of the Nigerian system. But this shall be done with true patriots who are not a part of the Nigerian problem. In the desire to acquire power, we shall not compromise the basic principles and ideology that informed our birth which includes All-inclusiveness, Democratic Empowerment of the Youth/Womenand Party Supremacy.

We find it extremely difficult to compromise our principles and align with 'ANYTHING BUT BUHARI.' Let it be known that for us, it is not negotiable that Buhari must go. He has failed and those who love him should tell him that his time is up.

At ADP, we believe the time has come for a generational shift in leadership and not putting old wines in new bottles, which is what the PDP led coalition represents.

It is instructive to remember that it was a similar ragtag coalition that brought the rudderless APC to power in 2015, so Nigerians must wake up and resist another deceit by the same desperate and corrupt politicians.

We are committed to the birth of a new Nigeria that offers hope to all. We shall pursue policies that will ensure transformation in Health, Education, Infrastructure, Security, Employment etc. What Nigeria needs is a new direction championed by true patriots. ADP is determined to drive this process.

We shall be calling on likeminded Patriotic, God fearing and credible Nigerians who are determined to join the ADP led coalition to rebuild Nigeria and make our nation the pride of Africa, fulfilling its God given potentials, purpose, and promise of happiness.

Thank you and God bless.

divinelove:
Nonsense

Anything to stop Buhari from coming back is welcome by Nigerians. The coalition is a welcome development.

ADP should shut up already and say DT their demands were not met

We believe in a coalition that would have direct impact on the Nigerian people not just supporting a different faction of same gang. We shall have alliance with the right people to birth a new Nigeria.
Politics / EXCLUSIVE: ADP Pulls Out Of (CUPP) Coalition by stanveron: 4:43pm On Jul 10, 2018
The *Action Democratic Party (ADP)* has distance itself from the Coalition of Unity Political Parties (CUPP) involving about 38 political parties.

In an exclusive update obtained by WAILERSNG.com, the online newspaper also in a telephone chat with the National Chairman of the Party, Engr. Y. Y Sani on Tuesday morning in Abuja, said that the vision of ADP does not go in line with the reasons for such coalition.

Speaking further with our correspondent, Engr Sani said that ADP will address Press on Wednesday to make its position clear to the Nigerian public.

ADP posited that as a credible alternative political party against the misrule of the past, present government and political parties, it would be wrong to join same method used by the ruling APC where strange bed fellows came together for the purpose of wrestling power from the then President.

The party says that this level of desperation where political parties will keep coming with the habit of forming coalition every four years won't be to the best interest of Nigerians and that of our nascent democracy, speaking further, Sani posited that the coalition is not for the purpose of making Nigeria great but for selfish interest of those involved.

The party said if Nigerians should critically look at those in the formation of the Coalition of Unity Political Parties (CUPP), majority of them are the architect of Nigeria's problems, that teaming up with such people won't speak well.

ADP however assured members and Nigerian that their vision is for a new and better Nigeria and not that of desperate politicians queuing and teaming up to take power from another failed government in order to continue the circle of failure.

Politics / The New Nigeria by stanveron: 8:50pm On Jul 09, 2018
True freedom is not won on a table where fighters click glasses but through sweat and tears, you cannot expect the road to free the soul of man to be paved with smooth tiles to glide through.

This fight is not to be fought in decorated designers regalia, when men who ate your yesterday offer you a tomorrow don't be quick to remind him of yesterday but don't be foolish to accept his offer of tomorrow.

The time has come for the real patriots to come together and put their gloves on to fight for the Nigeria that works for everyone.
It's not the time to look for a man who can win an election alone but a team that can lead Nigeria to greatness, our personal interest should now take the back seat.

The time has come, May the Lord give us the Grace to pull through.

THE NEW NIGERIA IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

Politics / CHINA IN (中国制造) 2025 by stanveron: 6:34am On Jul 08, 2018
What you see above is not jagon, Its a plan by China to produce for the largest percentage of the world population by year 2025, Its called (Made In China 2025).

The world is on the fast lane, but our leaders are stuck in power tussle and resources sharing.
The next world war might not be fought by military engagements but likely by technologies, currencies and natural resources, so if you are a leader and you are still stuck in title and ostentatious power display you are living in danger and might be taken unaware when the war eventually reaches your door step.

Over the course of last few month, U.S government or should I say U.S President has been in a running battle with China and other trade partners, today the exchange of threats have resulted into a full blown TW, and this is not unconnected with the 2025 China plans to become more self sufficient in high-tech industries to cater for their own market, one would think that shouldn't be a problem to the U.S. government or the world market, but why then is U.S. President so critical of China2025 plans?

What China used to use to attract businesses is her market size, so companies are allowed into China for a fraction of the market size in exchange of certain technology transfer and other incentives, so imagine if China becomes self sufficient in these areas with her huge market size, hmmm that means a lot to the rest of the world.

But what is so fascinating about this whole trade war is how James Richards predicted in his book Currency War, the moves by China and Russia and even the emerging market, the plan to abandon dollar as the world medium of exchange.

Industry 4.0 is one thing everyone should read about, a while ago I was thinking about the use of seatbelt alarm in the car, ( I know many people only use the seatbelt to "shut up"that warning sound or to avoid FRSC harassment on the road) but here is what I was thinking about, can't I just design a car that would refused to move if the driver isn't on seatbelt?

Think about IoT for a minute, you have your dumb physical items being connected to the internet and you use sensors and remotely control your stuff, imagine opening your gate with your headlamp or with a voice command, NOW THAT IS WHERE THE WORLD IS GOING. Artificial intelligence, IoT and world of robots.

If you have leaders who do not think of the next year or next month how can they think of the next 5years, 7years or even 10years, now the challenge is not even about reading what is available but to imagine what does not exist now and mix them in our expectations and plan for them, how can we compete with the rest of the world?

20 plus years ago, computers were in rare sight and where large in size, today you know where we are, in 20years, robots are going to be sitting in our rooms and running errands on our streets and factories, so the best we can do is to begin to prepare for those days. They shall have significant impact on wealth distribution and management of resources, so we can not ignore their role in our ecosystem.

So we must begin to put in place systems and structures that would support these new world innovations and position our societies to benefit from it rather than be left behind by the rest of the world.

I have proposed an economic policy that seeks to position Nigeria side by side the emerging markets, we were supposed to be part of BRICS to make it read BRINCS but our leaders where so consumed by wealth accumulation and corruption that the world left them behind, how we are not part of G20 is still unbelievable, but that is our current reality, we are soon to be 3rd largest population in the world yet we can not be found in the scheme of economic power decisions, brutal fact is that we are not important when it comes to important economic decisions but when it comes to goods consumption, every nation runs to Nigeria, when it comes to resources extraction Nigeria is important, when it comes to human resources, Nigerians are everywhere, from UK to Canada to Hong Kong, but our land lies in waste our people live in poverty, yet our leaders want to continue their business as usual style of 19century emperor rulership and some 21st century minds are championing their course?

For some of us what we have to give our country is our heart and our brains, we don't have money to share to win votes, we don't have big cars or big offices to impress you but our genuine and sincere desire to help reposition our nation and help our people to enjoy what citizens of other nations are enjoying from good healthcare system to good education system, to working factories and a well developed and sound people who productively contribute to their own personal prosperity and to their nation's development.

China and U.S. Canada and India etc, are working hard for their people, let's have visionary leaders who would work for us.

The future is bright but we have to make a choice, stay with what isn't working or try what will Work.

Politics / One More Death by stanveron: 8:19pm On Jul 06, 2018
One More Death.

I have been travelling with my mind across the globe in the past few weeks in search of the lasting solution to insecurity in our country.

One of the question that came to me was very simple but it got me really thinking and here is the question, Does the police commissioners know their coverage operational area? Do the governors know their state boundaries? Does the DPO knows how many people live or work within his jurisdiction?

BUT BEFORE I PROCEED, DO YOU KNOW THAT A POLICE STATION IN NIGERIA ONLY GET BETWEEN N25,000 TO N45,000 FOR OPERATIONS PER QUARTER? THAT IS LESS THAN N500 PER DAY TO RUN THEIR OPERATIONS, I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT IS EXPECTED TO CATER FOR THEIR FUEL FOR CARS, PAPERS , GENERATORS etc.

Majority of items in Nigeria police stations are donations, police operations are basically run by corporate social responsibilities of businesses and individuals who live and operate around the stations, if you pay attention you see most of the items labelled "Donated by so so and so", there is nothing wrong with this but when the operations of the station become dependant on donations from individuals even criminals, then it becomes a thing of bother.

This might change the course of my post, Its sad to see how police is underfunded yet governor smile to the bank every month with N500,000,000.00 in the name of security vote, Its the most absurd sarcasm the world has ever known, the most ridiculous part is the fact that these funds are not accounted for.
I shall come back to this topic.

About our insecurity, what would it cost us to have all herdsmen in each local government registered? What would it COST? Why not have a data base for all such herdsmen within each jurisdiction? Haba! How many more death before we wake up? How about equipping the police for these volatile areas? How about deploying those policemen who are carrying bags for politicians to those villages for the time being? Short term.

The long term solution is to have our state police, and pay the security vote to the state commissioner who would be accountable to the national police commission who would be comprise of members from the executive, legislators and the judiciary with some very notable Nigerians of high reputation, together with the IG, this body shall operate independent of the arms of government, with this approach each state shall have indigenous commissioner, same with local government DPOs, so police allocation shall be statutory, these would require a lot of work but if we must make progress, this work MUST BE DONE, so that we all can live together in peace, all local government staff must get to work, register all residents/occupants of their local government this would drastically reduce this insecurity. But most importantly, we must ensure that pur economy is able to put monies in the pockets of our people and to reduce lack induced criminality.

The primary purpose of a government is too ensure the people are safe in their homes, their streets or even in the bush.

We can build the Nigeria we want if we are ready to work.

Politics / Abysmal Governance by stanveron: 8:17am On Jul 04, 2018
Statistics have shown that Buhari will not be reelected again in 2019 due to his abysmal performance, especially in his anti-corruption fight, economy and insecurity.

The government is noted for nepotism and lopsided appointments.

The research carried out by concerned Nigerian, came out with the following results and conclusion.

1. 100% of those who voted against Buhari in 2015 would still vote against him in 2019. In all the research, there is no one who voted against him in 2015 that have been convinced to vote him in 2019. One of the voters said 'he is worst than what I thought he was in 2015".

2. 60% of those who voted for him in 2015 would not vote him again in 2019.
* Buhari got his largest votes from the core north and the Middle belt in 2015.
* 90% of the middle belt voters are angry against the President for the prevalent insecurity issue across the region.
* Benue voters said they don't want to see Buhari again.
* Plateau state voters said "we are done with a President that takes side"
* Nasarawa state: there is a mix feeling in this state as some are still supporting the President and others against him.
* Kogi state voters through the research have shown their anger against the President for ignoring them in their times of many challenges, ranging from non payment of salary, killing by herdsmen, accident, flood disaster, etc.
* In the core north, Atiku and his supporters have deserted Buhari long ago for his insincerity to their leader Atiku.
*Kano state where Buhari got the largest vote under Kwankwanso have thrown their support behind Kwankwanso once again. Saying Buhari is a disappointment.
* Sule Lamido and his supporters have left Buhari over the witch hunting against their leader.
*Gombe State people have thrown their support for their ever performing governor.
* Sokoto State: Tambuwal and his supporters are waiting for the final signal to dump Buhari since he feels he is the only sincere person on earth.
*Kaduna state: the three serving senators of the state have systematically dumped Buhari for his bias intervention in the state political issues.

3. 90% of those who never voted before have been encouraged in their various worship places to do so. Sheik Gumi also advised his followers to vote against Buhari if he does not change.

4. South west where Buhari garnered more votes from in 2015 have been divided over Buhari nepotic tendencies.

5. Invalid votes: from the just concluded APC national convention, it was clear to the researcher, that more votes in his favour are going to be invalid since the party delegates cannot vote, party supporrs will do worst.

Party delegates casted 10% invalid votes during their convention. That made it clear that many of his supporters in that category would do worst in the general election come 2019.

6. The Shiite Muslims: this set of Muslims have registered their displeasure against the present government for the unlawful detention of their leader. They said " since Buhari government has refused to obey court order, we will do our best to vote against him come 2019.

In conclusion, it is crystal clear like the Biblical Menemene yufase, audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that Buhari is gone for the good of all Nigerians.

No insults.
Just issue based argument.

I believe that national transformation, the likes of which has

been witnessed in the “Asian Miracle”, begins solely at the

tables of leaders. In other words, right leaders, right nations.

It is time for the young and educated elite of Nigeria to take

their place as the heartbeat of our nation. It is time for YOU to

rise from obscurity into the relevant office of a citizen of the

Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is time for The Reawakening! I am

Mathias Baba Tsado and I am part of the Reawakening Movement.
