The media is awash with news that a former military administrator of Kaduna State, Colonel Hamid Alli (rtd) is currently undergoing State Security Service screening in preparation for his appointment as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Alli, 60, from Kano State was at one time the secretary of the revered northern group, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Newswatch reports. He was also a prominent figure in the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) but fell out with the gap-toothed general over the annulled June 12 1993 elections. Alli reportedly retired from the army and government unceremoniously without money or any traceable scandal and he is also into poultry farming and still drives a 504 Peugeot saloon car. According to insiders in the All Progressives Congress (APC), many corrupt politicians who have gotten hint of Alli’s imminient appointment, are already panicking and have started the process of returning looted funds. Alli’s appointment won’t come as a surprise to many who are familiar with newly sworn in President Buhari says he is an admirer of Alli’s life style, Buhari had made the fight against corruption one of the cardinal points his administration, as such, it is expected that he will source for the best hands and whoever he appoints will be a key figure in his administration. |
Immediately after President Goodluck Jonathan was elected and sworn in on the 29th May, 2011, He promised to fundamentally change the way things were done in Aso villa, Abuja, to usher in an era of unprecedented transparency and fight the War on Terror without compromising Nigerian values. Just as he appreciated the votes of about 58.89% of Nigerians who gave him their mandates by voting for him as the results of the 2011 election results were announced. Today his job approval rating ranges from 25-40% (based on various opinion polls). This drop in job approval rating might cost his fellow party members especially those in Northern Nigeria the likes Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Co. in the forth-coming elections. Many Nigerians home and abroad have rated this administration below average in different sectors, some of which includes the following; security, economy, education e.t.c These Set of Nigerians might have strong reasons to rate this administration below average in terms of performance for many reasons. In the next few lines I would summarise some of the promises made by our dear President during his 2011 inauguration speech so as to ascertain whether Nigeria has progressed or retrogressed under President Jonathan’s administration and does he really deserve our “Votes” SECURITY There had been patches of violent eruptions here and there before our dear President Goodluck Jonathan assumed power but the situation got worse under his watch, with a confirmation from him recently that he underestimated Boko Haram. Boko haram under president Goodluck evolve from a group of extremist that uses, Dane-guns, clubs, bows and arrows, to a well-trained army that had the mercenaries that were able to attack using tanks, rocket propelled grenades, general purpose machine guns. Under president Jonathan 13,000 of our compatriots were either slaughtered or bombed, 2 million Nigerians became refugees in their own country, about 13,000Kmsq of land was overtaken by the terrorist. Of recent 90 precious lives were lost in Benue with the president still being quiet as if Benue is not a state in Nigeria. POWER In 2011 The Federal Government through the then Minister of Power, Professor Bart Nnaji announced the improvement in the electricity generation capacity of the Nation to about 4,273MW. But as of January 28, 2015 according to information released by THE TRANSMISSION COMPANY OF NIGERIA, The country is currently losing 2,042.2 megawatts of electricity due to gas supply shortage and poor water management. The 411 G2 and G4 units of the Shiroro hydro power plant are currently losing 300MW, while the loss of 1,742.2MW is attributed to gas supply shortage at various legacy gas-fired power plants, including the National Integrated Power Project plants, which leaves our power generation at a mere over 2,000MW, which therefore means Nigeria as a nation might have retrogressed in terms of power generation under the watchful eyes of President Goodluck Jonathan. IMPUNITY If we were in a country where the rule of Law is strictly adhered to, our dear President Goodluck Jonathan would have face indictment or impeachment due to what happened in #EKITIGATE, the body language seems to be like we are friends to criminal impunity and some group of Nigerians are clearly above the Law. I have not seen any sign of regrets and repentance from our Dear President or his party whom have gotten so used to being friends of abuse of power by the nomination of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro to serve as a minister as this is another reason why every right thinking Nigerian would think twice on voting for President Jonathan again. Impunity was taken to another level under this very inept administration; Just months back, the number four citizen of this great and blessed country Rt. Honorable Tambuwal was prevented access to his office by junior police officers that acted on others from above not forgetting the new laws of arithmetic by this administration during the Governors forum elections where 16 was said to be greater than 19. President Jonathan rendered democracy meaningless where it should be most fervently exemplified. PROTECTION OF WHISTLE-BLOWERS In Ekiti, it was all about Capt. Sagir Koli, a patriotic Army officer who blew the whistle on the #EKITIGATE While Captain Koli upheld his oath of office, his boss Brigadier Momoh who betrayed the country has been allowed to keep his job and salary while Captain Koli has to go into hiding to avoid being assassinated. Last year it was about a former Governor of Central Bank, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who is now the Emir of Kano, he now occupies one of the most revered thrones in Northern Nigeria. The man alleged that a sum of 20 billion Dollars got lost or was misappropriated by the Jonathan lead administration. The man was quickly suspended or put on administrative leave. Compared to his predecessors, Jonathan has been extremely aggressive in his persecution of whistleblowers There are over a thousand reasons on how President Jonathan has failed Nigerians but, there are other sectors of the economy in which the current administration made some positive impacts; remodeling of the Airports (though he can still do better than that), Dr. Akinwuni Adesina has done far better than his predecessors in the Agric sector, so also the president has revamp some of the rail lines. However, his achievements when compared to the massive looting, killing of innocent Nigerians, prolong strikes by labour unions (JOHESU, ASUU, ASUP…), impunity, empowering ethnic militias (Niger delta militants, OPC, MASSOB) devaluation of naira, high un-employment rate, high poverty rate… (it’s an endless list) one can conclude that President Jonathan has failed the over 22 million people that voted for him in 2011 and also the Nation in general, hence president Jonathan doesn’t really deserve our Votes this time around. |
Federal Capital Territory, (FCT Abuja) Bala Mohammed, has been trending in the Abuja social circle. He's fondly called Bala Mohammed Jnr. It is not his first showoff but this one has got people asking how he makes his money. He has no known job, but he parades over a dozen luxury and sportscars in his garage. Before becoming a minister, his father was a senator.

While some people are engage in idle talking, Kwankwaso is busy working round the clock to set the bar of performance high enough. This is Tiga site of Kano Independent Power Project. Just like the way you were celebrating "designer" fly over/ride under bridges among several other infrastructural transformations that are ongoing in every nook and cranny of the state, you will also soon smile home with improved electricity. These sites will generate a modest 35 megawatts in the next couple of months. The amazing thing about Kwankwaso's unprecedented record of service as the governor of Kano is that all these giant strides are financed with no single borrowed kobo. Phenomenal, you may say! Perhaps he is among the only few governors who understands the true essense of democratic humanism. Building this level of infrastructure and human capital within spate of four years is not a lazy man job. It is not for the corrupt and those who dish out handouts. This is not a job for those who indulge in prebendalism. You may hate his guts, despise his no nonesense posture, grudge his domineering persona, gossip about his unyielding conviction- but you can't dismiss his epoch making second coming as the governor of Kano state. Kano is no longer a sight of dirts and filth. It is no longer a record breaking urban slum. It is now a functional mega city in evolution. We must give credit to his team, particularly his deputy (Ganduje), his SSG (Rabiu Suleman Bichi), his commissioners (I will single out that of Works for special recognition), his advisers, and his loyal supporters; to mention just a few. This is just a sample of what APC is doing in some states where it has governors. In Kano, our slogan is: "We Can Do More". Vote for APC- the change we all desire!i source: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10204533452791169&id=1078699684&refid=28&_ft_=qid.6124531943422597953%3Amf_story_key.-2565448004444758225&__tn__=%2As

Lies in the documentary: 1. Fela never mentioned Buhari's name in the $2.8bn issue. He mentioned OBJ. The documentarians cut that part off, said it was GMB 2. Buhari did not expel Ghana from Nigeria, Shehu Shagari Did. 3. The issue of Gloria Okon disappearing under GMB is also a Bloody lie. Gloria disappeared under IBB (Dele Giwa died for it) 4. What has the death of 2 of Buhari's daughters got to do with a documentary of Buhari's ability to rule? 5. Fela's mum died after Kalakuta republic was attacked by Obasanjo's govt in 1978. GMB didnt come into power until 1984. etc. Nigerians should protest unprofessional conduct and inciting propaganda by our media houses. Where are the government agencies that regulate these things? Where are the security agencies that suppose to caution or arrest these ppl for provocative lies on the media? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153577972194616&id=803754615&refid=28&_ft_=qid.6120177218792656141%3Amf_story_key.5081904779123544065&__tn__=%2As |
1. Why was (is) "Boko Haram" busy destroying states and areas that the opposition party will win convincingly in the presidential election? 2. If we are to believe that the opposition were the brains and architects of "Boko Haram", then why is it that they have never ever attacked and destroyed any prominent PDP figure or their properties? 3. If the opposition have the capability of arming "terrorists" with armour tanks, RPGs, AA Guns, military uniforms, military trucks, helicopters and the ability to command soldiers to vanish from military checkpoints, wouldn't they have targeted to destroy PDP strongholds and their assets? 4. Why would the opposition seek to destroy their own strongholds anyway? To achieve what? 5. Why was (is) "Boko Haram" targeting to destroy basically only prominent northern politicians and their traditional rulers and their communities? 6. In the light of questions 1 to 5 above, why has there been a deliberate campaign of lies and propaganda by the PDP and their religious wing that collect bribes in billions of naira that "Boko Haram" is the baby of the opposition? 7. Of all the cars used by "suicide" bombers retrieved from the scene of their attacks, to whom were the cars traced after forensic investigations? Why is it that nothing is ever heard after such evidences have been collated at the scenes since 2011? 8. At the last count, over 500 hundred "Boko Haram" suspects have been in detention since 2009, but why is it that government hasn't been able to come clean on those sponsoring the "terrorists", and why is it that, with such a huge treasure trove, government has not been able to know and curtail the operational methods of the "terrorists"? 9. Why did the "terrorists" become stronger after a scandalous 33 billion dollars (over 4 trillion naira) was expended on the so called war against them? 10. Isn't it curious and suspicious that a ragtag group called "Boko Haram" whose bulk of fighters possibly had only one week trainings could overcome and overrun our military men who spend 5 years in the NDA, some months in Jaji, and some months also at the National War College in Abuja apart from several overseas trainings? 11. Why was it that, at a point from 2013, the Nigerian military was not taking the war to "Boko Haram" camps in the deserts of the northeast instead of waiting for "Boko Haram" to come on the offensive? 12. Since when has repulsion become the best form of defence instead of attack? 13. Why did "Boko Haram" have the most freedom to operate and destroy so many towns and villages during all the period of State of Emergency that was supposed to have made them immobile? 14. Was the State of Emergency some fraud pulled off to empower the "terrorists" and make the targeted communities sitting ducks for easy elimination? 15. Who was providing "Boko Haram" with fuel and other logistics in their camps considering how they easily move with long convoys of trucks to operate without challenge? These are not the only questions.... There are many more. But they've not been able to answer any of these, rather they always want to heap their scheme on others. These questions and many more could be the reason they are mortally scared of losing political power. But it just can't continue like this anymore. Change is a basic constant in life. A very highly respectable Nigerian sent me an alarming message this morning (08/02/2015). The message reads like this: “I got this information from a source within the security. One of Ali Modu Sheriff’s close confidants is now on the run in Guinea Conakry. He contacted the Nigerian Embassy in Guinea that he would like to speak with a Nigerian security personnel but not the military or SSS as he doesn’t trust them, because they are part and parcel of the Boko Haram crisis. He said SAS is one of the real financiers of Boko Haram, and currently he has a lot of army and SSS officers on his payroll. He informed that three containers are arriving in Nigeria through PortHarcourt with weapons destined for BokoHaram. A man called Hon. Chuma Nzeribe is going to clear them with the assistance of the SSS and the military, whowill escort the contents to Boko Haram territory. He said the containers were registered as building materials, but in actual sense weapons are concealed inside them. He gave the containers numbers and the contents in each container. The government is trying to cover up. He also supplied the names and account numbers of all military and SSS officers on the payroll of SAS. I was able to trace who that Chuma Nzeribe is. He is a former Reps member from Anambra State and he has a lot record of criminal activities against his name.”My take on this leaked message: Nigerians and the rest of the world witnessed a shocking treasonable event yesterday night.INEC called it shifting of the elections date by 6 weeks, but in reality it was a military coup organised by Jonathan, PDP, Sambo Dasuki, and the service chiefs. Professor Jega was under immense duress to sabotage the elections. After so much comings and goings, he had no choice but to succumb. Mark my words, there will NEVER be elections of any kind that will be held in Nigeria under Jonathan's rule. This is because he and his cabal know all too well that they will never win any free and fair elections. Furthermore, holding elections means surrendering power voluntarily to Nigerians. This, Jonathan and his cabal are not willing to do under any circumstance. Remember not long ago, David Mark had this to say: “There is no questions of elections, it is not even on the table now. We are in a state of war.”Not long after that, the self proclaimed bastard Doyin Okupe, said this: “We rather hand over power to the military by engineering a coup than hand it to Muhammadu Buhari.” On 22/01/2015, the so called National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, came all the way to London and announced at Chatam house that it was better to cancel the forthcoming general elections because of security concerns. In view of the above leaked memo from the spy files, and the reasons given for the cancellation of the general elections, I advise Nigerians to be prepared for the worst. Make no mistake about it, the next 6 weeks is NOT going to be period of security enhancement for Nigerians. We will instead witness unprecedented killings, bombings, destruction of infrastructure, and property by the marauding Boko Haram terror barbarians with their partners in crime MEND, and MASSOB. This will then be used as another excuse to permanently postpone elections, and allow the military to take over in the guise of an interim government. My honest, urgent, and well informed advise to all Nigerians is to remain calm and focussed. Instead of causing violence through senseless demonstrations, which will achieve nothing but serve our enemies agenda, we must use this six weeks for mass mobilisation, to defend ourselves and ancestral land from total destruction. The Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) concept works. Let every community, village, town, and city mobilise its able bodied men over 18 to join their local CJTF. Let our people use already established local institutions like Masjids, Churches, Social Clubs, etc as rallying points. source: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=866493806749953&id=100001680243589&refid=28&_ft_=qid.6114147021572768545%3Amf_story_key.-3073322834760062844&__tn__=%2As |
APC PRESIDENTIAL RALLY IN LAGOS
|
I'm really troubled after I've watched the oyedepo's video. There's no gain saying that Jonathan has destroyed whatever remains of the peace and unity of this country. It will take more than what we hope and believe in any leader to right the wrongs of Jonathan’s administration decedence. Is only the mercy of God Almighty that unity and peace will reign again in this country. What do you say of a government under whose watch and leadership, mischief makers get away with any kind of disturbing and war inciting utterances without been called to order. This simply goes to tell any reasonable and responsible person that this government is a great failure, the kind we've not seen in the history of this country. My concern now is this hypocritical war that is going on. This Boko Haram issue as it stands today, is obviously allowed to continue for socio religious, political and economic reasons. But what is more worry some to me is associating it with Islam and the Muslims. Although the Boko Haram claimed the Islam faith, but in all honesty and sincerity they are not Muslims. There ideologies are contrary to the teachings of Islam and so are their satanic acts of gruesome killings. Linking their faith to Islam is a mere political propaganda in other to smear and defame Islam and there by causing chaos in the country of which they have succeeded. The two major ideas of the Boko Haram group are (1) that seeking the western education is Haram. (2) that is justified to kill anyone who opposed to that, (calling them infidels). For those who do not know, in Islam, seeking knowledge is tantamount to knowing God. Islam teaches you seek to know God before you worship Him. Also the Prophet (SAW) said one should search for knowledge to as far as China. Islam doesn't discriminate against Islamic or western education, male or female in the quest for seeking knowledge. In fact, the first revelation given to the Prophet (SAW) bothers on knowledge, Qur'an 96: verses 1-5. So how come now these knuckle heads called Boko Haram will suddenly wake up one day and say Islam is against seeking knowledge. This assertion is contrary to the teachings of Islam. The second issue of killing any one who opposed to that, (calling such person an infidel) also contradicts the very essence of preserving of human life in Islam. In the holy Qur'an, Allah says "...If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder....It would be as if he killed all mankind..." And going by the numerous attacks of the Boko Haram, it is clear and in the open that the Boko Haram are more enemies to the Muslims than they are to the Christians. Most of their attacks have been carried out predominantly on the Muslims. Majority of their victims are innocent locals who are mostly Muslims with only Islamic education, most of them have never learnt within the confers of western education. so much for a group that called itself religious and against the western education. As far as we Muslims are concerned, Boko Haram are a bunch of blood suckers, murderers and enemies of Islam. To set the records straight, Boko Haram is not Islam and I believe I'll be speaking for a lot of my fellow Muslim brothers and sisters that we Muslims, we dissociate ourselves from Boko Haram and their atrocities. Let all those hypocrites going about telling obvious lies and threatening war on the north and the Muslims stop for the sake of peace. Only a person who is a fool and bereft of any honesty that will believe the stupid propaganda in the stream media that Boko Haram is fighting an Islamic war. Alas I say, I challenge the Muslims and all well meaning Nigerian to stand up against all these baseless allegations and defeat the mischief makers preaching words of peace and not hate speeches or war threats. The woes of wars is a doom to all. Be wise |

This was disclosed in a piece titled “2015 and our Crony Democracy”, which he posted on his Facebook page. According to him, the number 11 is a powerful occultic number which represents judgment, destruction and death of man. Read full piece below: Season’s greetings to my teeming readers. Let me still serve you a morsel of politics even as we celebrate the joyous Yuletide season. The mood isn’t cheery because of the horror of senseless bloodletting by the Boko Haram insurgents, but life must go on, in the hope that things will get better in the New Year; even if they seem otherwise at the moment. Our politicians are self-serving and uncaring, but we are a resilient people who always ride out of every storm. The noisy campaigns of the Presidential nominations of the two major parties – the ruling PDP and the APC, appear to have eclipsed the nation’s top headliners of 2014, such as the Chibok girls abduction, and the random seizure of territories by the rampaging Boko Haram terrorists. Also submerged in the nomination hoopla are the impeachment of Governor Murtala Nyako and the defection of the five PDP governors that triggered it; Ayo Fayose’s upstaging of APC’s Kayode Fayemi in the Ekiti Governorship elections, the dramatic fall of crude oil price and its implications for our oil-dependent economy, and the recruitment exercise that left scores of young graduate job-seekers dead from stampedes. |

The then Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, surprised guests present at the Muson Centre for the launching of the book of Sir Olaniwun Ajayi at the Muson Centre in Lagos . The book titled: " Nigeria , Africa 's failed asset?" attracted many important dignitaries, intellectuals and some governors. The argument by discussants centered on whether or not the colonial masters laid the foundation for the problems Nigeria is currently facing. Many argued that the British loved the North and that was why it gave more than 50 percent of the National Assembly seats to the North at independence. Sanusi, however, stole the show when he spoke. His speech was anchored on the plank that the British and Nigerian rulers are responsible for the state of the situation Nigeria finds itself today. Below is his unedited speech. "Let me start by saying that I am Fulani (laughter). My grandfather was an Emir and therefore I represent all that has been talked about this afternoon. Sir Ajayi has written a book. And like all Nigerians of his generation, he has written in the language of his generation. "My grandfather was a Northerner, I am a Nigerian. The problem with this country is that in 2009, we speak in the language of 1953. Sir Olaniwun can be forgiven for the way he spoke, but I cannot forgive people of my generation speaking in that language. "Let us go into this issue because there are so many myths that are being bandied around. Before colonialism, there was nothing like Northern Nigeria, Before the Sokoto Jihad, there was nothing like the Sokoto caliphate. The man from Kano regard himself as bakane. The man from Zaria was bazazzage. The man from Katsina was bakatsine. The kingdoms were at war with each other. They were Hausas, they were Muslims, they were killing each other. "The Yoruba were Ijebu, Owo, Ijesha, Akoko, Egba. When did they become one? When did the North become one? You have the Sokoto Caliphate that brought every person from Adamawa to Sokoto and said it is one kingdom. They now said it was a Muslim North. "The Colonialists came, put that together and said it is now called the Northern Nigeria. Do you know what happened? Our grand fathers were able to transform to being Northerners. We have not been able to transform to being Nigerians. The fault is ours. Tell me, how many governors has South West produced after Awolowo that are role models of leadership? How many governors has the East produced like Nnamdi Azikiwe that can be role models of leadership? How Many governors in the Niger Delta are role models of leadership? Tell me. There is no evidence statistically that any part of this country has produced good leaders. You talk about Babangida and the economy. Who were the people in charge of the economy during Babangida era? Olu Falae, Kalu Idika Kalu. What state are they from in the North? "We started the banking reform; the first thing I heard was that in Urobo land, that there will be a curse of the ancestors. I said they (ancestors) would not answer. They said why? I said how many factories did Ibru build in Urobo land? So, why will the ancestors of the Urobo people support her? "We talk ethnicity when it pleases us. It is hypocrisy. You said elections were rigged in 1959, Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu rigged election in 2007. Was it a Southern thing? It was not. "The problem is: everywhere in this country, there is one Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba and Itshekiri man whose concern is how to get his hands on the pile and how much he can steal. Whether it is in the military or in the civilian government, they sit down, they eat together. In fact, the constitution says there must be a minister from every state. "So, anybody that is still preaching that the problem of Nigeria is Yoruba or Hausa or Fulani, he does not love Nigeria . The problem with Nigeria is that a group of people from each and every ethnic tribe is very selfish. The poverty that is found in Maiduguri is even worse than any poverty that you find in any part of the South. The British came for 60 years and Sir Ajayi talked about few numbers of graduates in the North (two at independence) . What he did not say was that there was a documented policy of the British when they came that the Northerner should not be educated. It was documented. It was British colonial policy. I have the document. I have published articles on it. That if you educate the Northerner you will produce progressive Muslim intellectuals of the type we have in Egypt and India. So, do not educate them. It was documented. And you say they love us (North). "I have spent the better part of my life to fight and Dr. (Reuben) Abati knows me. Yes, my grandfather was an Emir. Why was I in the pro-democracy movement fighting for June 12? Is (Moshood) Abiola from Kano ? Why am I a founding director of the Kudirat Initiative for Nigerian Development (KIND)? "There are good Yoruba people, good Igbo people, good Fulani people, good Nigerians and there are bad people everywhere. That is the truth. "Stop talking about dividing Nigeria because we are not the most populous country in the world. We have all the resources that make it easy to make one united great Nigeria . It is better if we are united than to divide it. "Every time you talk about division, when you restructure, do you know what will happen? In Delta Area, the people in Warri will say Agbor, you don't have oil. When was the Niger Delta constructed as a political entity? Ten years ago, the Itshekiris were fighting the Urobos. Isn't that what was happening? Now they have become Niger Delta because they have found oil. After, it will be, if you do not have oil in your village then you cannot share our resources. "There is no country in the world where resources are found in everybody's hamlet. But people have leaders and they said if you have this geography and if we are one state, then we have a responsibility for making sure that the people who belong to this country have a good nature. "So, why don't you talk about; we don't have infrastructure, we don't have education, we don't have health. We are still talking about Fulani. Is it the Fulani cattle rearer or is anybody saying there is no poverty among the Fulani?", he said. This is a great message to our generation. Are we truly ready to develop and unite ?Lets forget our religious and ethnic differences to do that !!! Sanusi Lamido Sanusi... |
