"You know I'm innocent" Andrew Tate shouts as he arrives in court to fight detention (video)

Andrew Tate has lost his appeal against the extension of his detention period at a court in Romania.

The influencer, accused of sex-trafficking and rape, declared his innocence as he arrived at court on Wednesday, Feb. 1, for his latest bid to get out of jail.

?You know I'm innocent,? he shouted at reporters as he was led out of a prison can while handcuffed to his younger brother, Tristan Tate.

Asked on his way to the Bucharest Court of Appeal if he expected to be freed Wedbesday, Tate 36, said: "There is not much justice in Romania."

The brothers will remain behind bars until February 27 after appealing against a judge's Jan. 20 decision to extend their arrest a second time.

Tate is detained in Romania on suspicion of organised crime and human trafficking.

A Nigerian female student has been captured on tape engaging in non-academic activities inside a lecture room.

She left her coursemates in amazement when she decided to bring out a bowl of fufu and soup which she ate hungrily while a lecturing was in class.

It reportedly happened that Osun state University.

A fellow student who sat behind her and felt her act was too entertaining to be ignored decided to film the lady as she was happily munching the food.

Residents of Benin City, the Edo State capital, today Monday, January 30. trooped out to the streets as they protested the protracted fuel scarcity and hike in the price of petroleum products in the state.

The angry residents erected burnfires on some roads in Benin city, the state capital.

In a video making the rounds on social media, one of the protesters could be heard saying:

"This is happening live in Benin City, Edo State capital; huge protest going on over fuel crisis. You can see protesters block roads and making fire on the roadblocks."

The angry residents claim petrol is being sold to them for as high as N400 per litre.

Five persons have died and seven others injured when a mining pit collapsed on them in Rukku community in Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The incident occurred on Saturday, January 28, 2023, when some local miners went to the mining site in the community to mine solid minerals.

It was gathered that the local miners were extracting minerals deposited some meters beneath the earth’s surface when the pit suddenly collapsed on them, thereby forcing other miners at the site to abandon their work for rescue.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, five miners who died were deep inside the pit and therefore could not be rescued, while seven others at the surface were rescued alive but with various degrees of injuries.

Brother and sister banished from Imo community for allegedly committing incest (video)

A brother and sister were banished from their community in Lude, Mbaise, Imo state, for allegedly committing incest.

A video shared online shows community members leading the siblings out of the community with what little properties they have.

The Akagu security unit was also at the scene to escort them out of the community.

They were then warned not to return.

A voice is heard explaining in the video why the pair are being exiled: "The young man took his sister as a wife."

They were asked to go wherever they want to but must not return to Lude under any circumstance.

"Any of them we see in Lude again will have themselves to blame, irrespective of what they came for," the voice said.

Drake had to pause his SiriusXM concert at the Apollo Theater on Sunday night after an “over-hyped” fan fell from the balcony.

According to Insider and other reports, the incident occurred around 90 minutes into the show, just after 21 Savage joined Drake onstage to perform songs from their collaborative album.

Before they could begin performing, a man fell from the second floor into the orchestra pit, disengaging some of the venue’s lighting.

A crew member ran onstage and asked the rappers to delay the show. “Just gotta make sure somebody’s OK,” Drake told the audience. The concert paused for around 15 minutes while security and other venue staff were seen treating the man and removing the damaged lighting rig.

An announcer then said that no one had been injured in the incident, which was confirmed to Variety by a rep for the Apollo on Monday.

“Everybody is absolutely OK,” the announcer said over the venue’s P.A. “They are being checked on. Nobody’s hurt. But I got even better news for you: We’re at the Apollo so the show must go on.”

The Apollo’s statement reads in full: “Unfortunately, last evening an incident occurred with an audience member who landed in the orchestra from the lower mezzanine. Drake, Apollo and SiriusXM halted the show immediately when learning of a potential fan injury and standard protocols were taken. They were seen immediately by EMS on site. The fan and other audience members reported that they were OK. No major injuries have been reported. The Apollo is investigating the situation further.”

Blueface demands DNA test after Chrisean Rock announces pregnancy

Chrisean Rock announced that she is pregnant with Blueface’s baby. She shared the news on Instagram as Blueface celebrated his 26th birthday Friday.

A Nigerian man who taps palm wine for a living has revealed that he is a proud landlord and owner of a Mercedes Benz.

The palm wine tapper simply known as Utobo built two-story building and bought the car with money he makes from the sale of the products.

According to the 37-year-old self-employed man, he spends 19 hours everyday tapping wine from about 53 trees.

He said that he does that three times a day and at the end of each day, he is able to fill 24 gallons with palm wine which he then takes to the market to sell.
