2: PLAN & VISUALIZE YOUR DAY AHEAD
Never start your day without knowing and writing down all you want to do and achieve from that day.
Spend a few minutes in the night on planning your next day. What tasks you want to complete and in which order you want to complete them – make a plan. Visualize your day.

You can save an hour or so when it comes to the execution part. Since your mind is already tuned in to those tasks, you’ll be able to complete them in less time than it usually takes.

You’ll also have less chaos or spend less time thinking about what to do next.

And you’ll be more relaxed, alert, and responsive.

If it’s not possible to do it in the night, you can do it as the first thing in the morning. Plan your day and visualize it.

3: TAKE REGULAR BREAKS
Working non-stop and burning midnight oil are not the best productive habits.
Our body works better when it gets regular rest. It’s hardwired to pulse and performs best when you renew the energy at regular intervals.
So, work for 25 minutes, take a 5 minutes break or 50 minutes and take 10 minutes break.
Though, sometimes it depends on the nature of your job.

• Stretch your legs.
• Take a walk.
• Drink some water.
• Talk to your colleague.
• Look at something other than your screen, or do anything you want.

Take a break. You’ll be able to complete a lot with those breaks then without them.

At the end of this exams on October 12th and 13th, three sets of people will emerge when the result is out;

1. THERE WOULD BE THOSE THAT SAT FOR THE EXAM --- WELL PREPARED, WENT IN, AND PASS THE EXAM.

2. It’s well understood in psychology that you are more likely to retain something if you learn it with practice.
Practicing past questions will improve your retention rate and will help you to better understand what you have studied.

Some of the essential benefits of practicing with past exams questions include;

• You will have experience of the pattern of the exam questions, which will make you more familiarize with the exam.

• It will give you a good idea of what the examiners are expecting. Hence, in the exam you will save a lot of time thinking about how to articulate what you want to say.

• Improvement of time management. Past exam papers are actual exams that were used to test other students. With such a resource, you will be able to understand how it feels to sit for the actual exam.

Sometimes our past failure leaves us with unforgettable bitter memories which might make us decide not to write an exam we have failed in the past.

How am I supposed to meet up now with just less than two months to go?

You may be behind on your preparations due to chronic procrastination or something totally out of your control!
Here are some researched tips to help you complete your preparations on time for CITN exams;

1. DON’T PANIC
It’s natural to start panicking when you realize you’re no longer on track with your preparations.
When you feel your heart is sinking and the frustration rising, stop and take a moment to calm down.
There is absolutely no point in panicking, it will only make you feel worse and stop you from focusing on your studies.

2. A FEAR FACED IS A FEAR DEFEATED…
Look at the contents of your syllabus and make a note of the topics you feel least comfortable with.
You might feel like avoiding these topics to read them last, but start with the topics you are comfortable with, then move to the topics you feel less comfortable.
Remember that, it is not your feeling that will set the exam questions.
They might seem scary now but, once you dive in and break the topics down, you’ll begin to understand them.

The first technique of Possibility Thinking is: Put your problems in proper perspective.
Sure, you have problems. They may be the worst you’ve ever faced.
But chances are, they are not the worst thing that could have possibly happened.

Recognize the problem, then recognize that it could have been worse than it currently is. For example, you might have failed 2 out of 4 papers, recognize that some people failed all and therefore, be grateful for what you accomplished. Learn to look at your problems with a proper perspective.

To put your problem in perspective, do the following:
First, you need to understand that everybody has one problem or the other. Yes, even Bill Gates....one of the richest man in the world...has problems he is facing.
Nobody lives a problem-free life.
Next,

1. Ask yourself “What exactly is the problem that is stopping me from writing ICAN exam this diet”? and list them;

……..I don’t have enough money.

…….. I am not sure if I will pass sine I have failed twice.

….….I am too busy to go to lectures.

..……I don’t have time to study.

and so on and on

2. The next thing is to find out the solutions to those problems you have listed above.

There are lots of activities that could act as distraction whenever
you are revising for the fourth coming CIS exams,
funny enough some of these distractions might be unavoidable.
But, you can actually minimize distraction.

Most of the time, notifications from electronic devices
(phone, tablet, laptops, desktop and others) only add to the distraction.
In fact, most of us are so used to getting interrupted while studying,
even when there is no notification on our phone, we still check just to be sure.

1. TURN OFF THE DISTRACTIONS
You may want to turn off all notifications from smartphones and
desktops applications. Consider checking email only four times per day and

Controlling your devices and not having that technology control you,
may help reduce distractions and increase your focus and level of assimilation.
You have spent a lot for this exam, so don’t allow anything to deprive you of SUCCESS this diet.

The first technique of Possibility Thinking is: Put your problems in proper perspective.
Sure, you have problems. They may be the worst you’ve ever faced.
But chances are, they are not the worst thing that could have possibly happened.

Recognize the problem, then recognize that it could have been worse than it currently is. For example, you might have failed 2 out of 4 papers, recognize that some people failed all and therefore, be grateful for what you accomplished. Learn to look at your problems with a proper perspective.

To put your problem in perspective, do the following:
First, you need to understand that everybody has one problem or the other. Yes, even Bill Gates....one of the richest man in the world...has problems he is facing.
Nobody lives a problem-free life.
Next,

1. Ask yourself “What exactly is the problem that is stopping me from writing CITN exam this diet”? and list them;
……..I don’t have enough money.

…….. I am not sure if I will pass sine I have failed twice.

….….I am too busy to go to lectures.

..……I don’t have time to study.

and so on and on


2. The next thing is to find out the solutions to those problems you have listed above.
