After writing CIS exams it feels like Freedom at last!! You just feel like taking a vacation from all activities.
If you're stressed out after taking CIS exams, don't worry. There are steps you can take to calm down, reduce your stress and get on with your life as you expect a favorable result.


1. TRY NOT TO GO OVER THE EXAM QUESTIONS:

You have already written the exams, nothing can be done about that, just pray for God’s favour.

Do not go home and start checking your textbooks for the correct answer to the exam questions. This will only increase tension and anxiety. You have written the exam, so put your mind at rest.

When I was in the hostel, back in the university, my roommate checked all the correct answers to the exam questions, he shouted “Mogbe oo ” that is, “I am finished ooo” and he fainted.
I guess he noticed that he didn’t do well.

But to our surprise, he passed that exam.

Why put yourself under unnecessary stress and tension? You have done your best, so leave the rest for God and the examiner.

Don't be like the Lobster…. Do you know Lobsters? Let me briefly explain it to you.

When waves of the sea roll and crash against the rocks, they will carry with them tens of lobsters and when the waves roll back, the lobsters are left behind.

A lobster when left high and dry among the rocks does
not have the instinct and energy enough to work its way back to the sea, so it waits for the sea to come to it and take it back.


Sometimes though the sea never comes back to roll over those rocks on which the lobsters are.


If the sea does not come to them, the lobster within a yard of the waves remains where it is and dies.

Why would it do this? Why would it choose to die
although it could have prevented its own death if
only it would make the slightest effort to reach
the waves that are just beyond those rocks?


The world is full of human lobsters.
People who are waiting for the perfect time, the perfect conditions, the perfect tools, the perfect amount of money....... before they get
off and do something to change their status in life.


The death of the lobster is because it refuses to take action even the little action needed but waited on the waves to reach it.

Just as a reminder, it is just 20 days to this diet CITN exams.

If you are very busy that you could not write last diet CITN exam, please read this…….
The truth is that, it is not your fault that you are very busy at work,
you are actually busy because you are very relevant at work,
so don’t blame yourself that you could not write CITN exam for last diet.

Over the weekend, I received WhatsApp chats from some of our students,
they all told me how they have been very busy and that they have not
started preparing for this diet CITN exam.
The question is that, is it possible to study for CITN exams if you have a very tight schedule?
YES IT IS.
The next question is, how is that possible?

……You need 1 hour per day for 30 days to finish a paper (inclusive of questions and answers)
……You need 2 hour per day for 30 days to finish 2 papers (inclusive of questions and answers)

You may ask, how can I spare 1 per day?
These are my suggestions;

• You can wake up very early on a daily basis and study for at least 1 hour before going to work.

• You can study for at least 1 hour before going to bed.

• You can study during your break hour at office.

• You can spend at least 12 hours to study on Saturday (not at a stretch though).


• You can spend at least 12 hours to study on Sunday (not at a stretch though).


The reality on ground now is that this diet CITN exam is on 4th - 6th May 2021
it means you have limited time to prepare, so start preparation NOW.
If you think you are very busy now, you might be busier next diet.

It is just 7 Days to CIS Sept. Diet Exams

This short write-up is not meant to be a debate, but a request to succeed. You have prepared so hard, what if this is just the last minutes obstacle you need to scale through.
Also take note that, I am not condemning social media because in this modern age it has become part our way of life and we may not be able do without it. In fact, If not for social media, you might not see this post…. So you can see that it very important.

So, why should you quit social medial for CIS exams temporarily?
According to Cal Newport, the author of the book DEEP WORK, a Business & Leadership Wall Street Journal Bestseller, he said that Facebook and other social media platforms are designed to be ADDICTIVE, as a result, your time will be fragmented, which can reduce your capacity to concentrate.

• …..You noticed that when you wake up in the morning, you will check your social media first.
• …… Before you go to bed, you check your social media last.
• …… Even when you are in the church, mosque or even board meetings, you are tempted to check social media.

Cal Newport mention that Facebook use to hire ‘ATTENTION ENGINEERS’ just to grab our attention and make us stick to Facebook, that is why you see Facebook notification regularly on your phone and on your email.

Back to CIS exams, you need not to allow your attention to be fragmented now, because you need almost full attention and concentration for you to succeed. So, if you are on leave, quit Facebook, quit Twitter, quit Instagram etc for now and concentrate 100% on your study. Don’t entertain any form of distraction. After the exams, you can resume social media.
If you are not on leave, do the same; quit Facebook, quit Twitter, quit Instagram, quit Snapchat, etc. Let no other thing ring in your head apart from CIS. Treat your ATTENTION with respect, don’t fragment it.

P.S. This is the time to start solving past questions daily till exam date.
