Please tell me about a daring scene..

I had to reread the whole piece again because some comments here are making it seem like she dint do anything..she entered the crowd..explained to them one of the boys was her brother, told them about the school fees part..begged to speak with him maybe he could confide in her..she even quoted some of the responses from the crowd..they accused her of being the one that sent them..that she could be lynched too...she knew she had to contact family members to get support and by the time she went to pick her phone to them, she said they had been taken to the pit to be burnt. She had no idea they were burnt while still alive.

Does that mean all her pleas dint move a single person in that crowd so as to gain support??not even the so called law enforcement people? There's no way she'd have fought against the crowd...some heard her which is evident in responses from the video but still went ahead to continue the hitting cos they were already blood thirsty.

That being said, this lady wouldn't have shown any concern or looked for any form of rescue if her brother wasn't among..she'd have probably walked away or witness the burning too..she's as guilty as many other Nigerians who watch\walk by when jungle justice is being done on a suppose thief.

I don't get the 'if he causes trouble" part..

Why was he singled out for banning??

fittty: I believe there's more to this killing. Its nothing but plain BEEF/ENVY!!!! These villagers must have noticed these kids were from well-to-do families and most likely the villagers envy kid from rich homes as they are opportune....... I had an experience years back when I was I had just finished my secondary school. I went clubbing and was coming in late sometime around 4am when the vigilantes in my neighborhood spotted me and started challenging me. Since I knew I was innocent and was coming from a club and well dressed I spoke back to them with confidence and this got them annoyed. The leader walked up to me and used a machete to smash my brand new expensive Swatch watch and threatened to kill me and dump me somewhere no one will notice. I went cold and started begging. When It was day time and I lodged a complain to my folks who took it to the neighborhoods landlord chairman they(vigilantes) said they were only threatening me to know if I was a thief or a regular resident.........
I believe those who killed these guys obviously knew they were from wealthy homes(cos of their appearance) and they(the killers) are the type who r frustrated with life and would want to take it on those who r living well once they have the opportunity to do so...

Its so sad her sister couldn't do much to help her brother..

We are better off without policemen in this country..their primary aim is to maintain law and order..the are doing the exact opposite..

To many sad tales about policemen..they are all EVIL people..the colour of their uniforms represent who they are..

I remember you stating it from the start that you felt that place was too open, but I was like haba..nuffin open about it..don't you want all diarylanders that don't know the way to alosiby's house to feel among too

I've always had my reservations about mynd..used to be romance section addict before I changed identity to become a diarylander. He loves e-fight and e-bullying..same with goldielocks, idowu n the likes..the moment he become drawn out and 'known' I knew it wouldn't be long before he causes commotion..

Its not a secret that t.girl is 'fond' of him..and initially, I dint have a problem having his friends hop in once in a while..but that particular night you typed 'kini gbogbo eleyii'...I also said the same..it was annoying to say the least..they had come to invade and gain territory to spew rubbish where they don't belong which is derailing IMO.. After the back and forth with creme n teeo yst..reading t.girl's response to everything just fell my hand...and I knew I was done with it..they couldn't be curbed..they had come to 'stay'..

Ironically, this particular territory protection is what they do in the romance section chatroom..they don't accomodate newbies

This isn't a quarrel btw diary section and romance section because they are two different sections..too many personal stuffs are written in the diary and one feels stripped having an outsider (who you have no idea what is goin on in her life) mingling with you with your own secrets known to them..
