The investigative journalism of this David of a guy is so topnotch.
A few more of his type.... Every public servant will sit up and do what is right.

So much revelation in the article he published.

Topnotch indeed.
Channels TV, the so called best TV station in Nigeria for the past twelve years cannot boast of a single investigative journalist in more than twenty years of it's existence

Politics / Re: Opinion: Pastor Adefarasin Should Be Rebuked For Instilling Fear.. by Stateoforigin: 1:31pm On May 10
If you ever want good for this Nigeria, you're a fool. You know why? Because good will NEVER COME!

Nigeria is a typical case of a fool at forty is a fool for ever.

If for 60+ years the country is not anywhere near good, then nothing will change forever. Instead, it will keep getting worse.

It's just normal for honest people to give you options on the way out, not for some dumbos to start telling you to pray or hope.

Nigeria is finished as a country, were all just existing and waiting for when the evil will reach our location.

As usual, some will say God forbid, the same God that hasn't been able to do anything about the ills of this hell of a country.

Personally, I don't pray for Nigeria to be good or bad. I'm just waiting for the day I will benefit from this flawed system. And surely, that day will come.

Family / Re: One Week To My Wedding, I'm Lost by Stateoforigin: 8:07pm On May 04
I don't know what is wrong with some girls Allah.

Going by your story, you know this guy since school days. Whether that's high school or Uni is question for another day.

You want to tell me you didn't notice his anger issues? Ok, fine!
Dude resurfaced and kicked off from where he left off. For five months you were "game". You led him on, brought family members into the mix, did introduction, bride price paid, court wedding done, every other thing set. All of a sudden, you realise he has anger issues. I mean, wtf? If your only complain was to be his cheating nature, I would have understand cos some guys are experts in not getting caught. You cannot stay three hours with someone with anger issues and not notice it. They can't hide such.

My verdict

You must finish what you started. Forget the people telling you to leave, it's easy to say that when they're not the person involved. Everything that happened or will happen is all on you. You'll not know the embarrassment this will bring to your family until after you pull it off. It's not always about us sometimes, it's about people we care about.

Like I said, everything is on you.
You've messed up for too long.

No going back now.

I wish you all the best

Politics / Re: Robert Clarke: Allow Military Take Over, Divide Nigeria Into 6 States by Stateoforigin: 5:34pm On May 03
Papa is saying we should go back to military regime. What a joke! The same military that kept us stagnant for many years with coups and counter coups.

The only realistic solution to Nigeria is a break up into seven pieces.

Nigeria shouldn't have been a country in the first place

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Jobs I Can Consider For Now by Stateoforigin: 5:54pm On Apr 28

I can take a job of 15k only (and only if ) it's in a tech field. I don't want to say I can take it for free cos I will be paying transport and feeding.

I will just spend at most 1year there and leave.
I just need the knowledge and experience that comes with such job.

I'm pursuing one now and each time a call or text msg enters my phone I always wish it's the HR.

Tech industry is the future, whether hardware or software.

I will wait for my phone's battery to get to 1% before I plug it to charge. There's this joy weh hen you charge from 1-100%. Unlike now that I just can't seem to get enough charge.

Even if my phone is fully charged, I still leave it on charge cos power might go off any minute and it might take days to restore.

I'm always charging

Religion / Re: Where Does The Human Soul Go To After Death? by Stateoforigin: 6:33pm On Apr 25

You see a contradiction where no reasonable person who really thinks and understands that we humans are not just mutations and chemicals but personhood in the image of God and hence have placed our trust of eternity in the only Life giver, Jesus Christ. The mere fact that you in your rejection of the Word of God obviously steamed up by Evolution and all that. It still doesn't take away the fact that humans are always interested in knowing what will be of them after they die whether they call it scientific research through attempts by Cryonics, etcetera with the belief that it will work out and these frozen bodies will be back in maybe a thousand years, etcetera.

This Nairaland question in itself gives credence to the evidence of God whom like the Old book that is so true and never contradictory puts it best in Ecclesiastes 3:11 where it says that "God has put eternity in man's heart."

Denying this reality is just vanity. We all want to know what happens after. You said the Book is contradictory. I see none of that. The key thing is after Death is Judgement. Now, if we go into explaining Judgement. It will take up the whole day but basically what you should take away is all men will die. Your focus should not be on what happens after death that is if you gave judgement or not which is a must. Yours should be about getting an advocate that will ensure you turn up on the favourable side of judgement and that can only be found in Christ Jesus and no other.

Liken a murderer who is held up in a prison awaiting the final verdict of the judge to either free him or give him the death penalty depending on how good his lawyer argues. The fact remains that this murderer's Freedom is already taken away while still awaiting final verdict. That is some painful judgement in itself that will collapse the mental faculty of even the most dangerous man out there. It is same with life after death. You have all the time now here on Earth to accept Jesus Christ of not. Immediately, you die. How the process of judgement is carried out on you is meaningless because the arrest(that is the physical death) is already the start of that judgement itself.

I just want you to know that I didn't read this rubbish
Romance / Re: What's The Difference Between Dating In Your 20s And 30s? by Stateoforigin: 12:50pm On Apr 25
Just say you're 29 years Oga

Which one is 30 by June next year? We're not even in June yet.

What's with Nigerians and age falsification?

When you want to look for work, you reduce your age.
When it comes to dating, you increase it.

Nobody knows what happens in the after life.
Not even the Bible knows what happens.

On one verse, it says after death is judgement
On another verse, it says the dead will remain underground until the judgement day.

The bottom line is nobody knows.

There are so many contractions in the book and the sons of men will never see it
