Ibnsultan: Ground invasion will increase casualty on both sides. The US should use there power to talk to Isreal That's if Aipac will allow. While Iran talks to Hamas. Egypt is useless Now the can't helpSecretary of State, John Kerry has said the US will support any country defending its citizens right & also against terrorism. Also Hamas was reported to have said that if only Egypt are involved, there wouldnt be any negotiation of peace.. |
And to think of the little number of Isreali casuality...shows that the Iron Dome has also had its positive monents. |
PhenomenonVFX: Sorry, the Iron Dome missile shield is not as powerful as you think it is bro. It is recorded a high failure rate in this war. Even experts are discussing the failure. You might be right but this is what Defense reporter Mark Thompson wrote - the Iron Dome is the most-effective, most-tested missile shield the world has ever seen. And taking into consideration that due to schedule and low-cost settings constraints, some of the missile components have been taken from a toy car manufactured/sold by Toys "R" Us its definitely plausible. |
Though i believe this would sound a note of warning to potential terrorist attacks on Isreal and any form of violence to be perpetrated on Isreali citizens. Isreal would not condone any form of attacks on its citizens ; only if Nigerian government could be this bothered by the plight of its people.. |
Ibnsultan: Isreal is responsible for the holocaust in Gaza. Over 100 children killed by f16 fighter jet and missiles from IDF. Hamas is not right but the have no optionThe Gaza War, also known asOperation Cast Lead(מבצע עופרת יצוקה(,in the Arab world as the Gaza Massacre (مجزرة غزة(or the Battle of al-Furqan [the criterion](معركة الفرقان(,was a three-week armed conflictin the Gaza Strip between Palestinian militants and Israel that began on 27 December 2008 and ended on 18 January 2009 in a unilateral ceasefire. Israel's stated goal was to STOP ROCKET FIRE into Israel and weapons smuggling into the Gaza strip. After the beginning of the conflict, Palestinian groups continued firing rockets in response to what they characterized as "massacres". Israeli forces attacked police stations, military targets including weapons caches and suspected rocket firing teams,as well as political and administrative institutions in the opening assault, striking in the densely populated cities of Gaza,Khan Yunis and Rafah. An Israeli ground invasion began on January 3. Infantry commanders were given an unprecedented level of access to coordinate with air, naval, artillery, intelligence, and combat engineering units during this second phase. Various new technologies and hardware were also introduced. On January 5, the IDF began operating in the densely populated urban centers of Gaza. During the last week of the offensive (from 12 January), Israel mostly hit targets it had damaged before and struck Palestinian rocket-launching units. Hamas INTENSIFIED its rocket and mortar attacks against civilian targets in southern Israel, reaching the major cities of Beersheba and Ashdod for the first time during the conflict. Israeli politicians ultimately decided against striking deeper within Gaza amid concerns of higher casualties on both sides and rising international criticism. The conflict ended on January 18, when Israel FIRST declared a unilateral ceasefire, followed by Hamas' announcing a one-week ceasefire twelve hours later. Israel completed its withdrawal on January 21. Source - wikipedia |
lynpetra: What must be done must be done.I wonder...If Hamas no regard for its own life, why then should Isreal? Even then, notes have been passed around in Gaza to evacuate civilians to prevent their death. But the question is Will Hamas learn from this? |
Isreal uses a powerful missile interceptor named The Iron Dome to intercept missiles targeted at its region preventing citizens from harm. Do You Think IsreaL Is Doing The Right Thing Comsidering The Number of Dead Civilians In The Gaza Strip ? |
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has defended his country’s military offensive in the Gaza Strip saying Israel will do “what is necessary” to defend itself. Asked if a ground invasion was imminent, he said Israel would use any means necessary to accomplish its goal of degrading Hamas’s rocket-launching capability. “Whether we’re at the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning I’m not going to tell you that right now,” he told Fox News Sunday. On Sunday, Israel’s security cabinet met as the air force appeared to be preparing for intensive bombardments of northern Gaza. But Mr Netanyahu took pains to absolve Israel of responsibility, claiming the blame lay with Hamas, the Islamist movement that governs Gaza. “We are hitting Hamas with increasing strength,” he said. “It must be understood that our enemy hides in mosques, puts weapons stores under hospitals and situates command posts next to kindergartens. The enemy uses the residents of Gaza as a human shield and inflicts disaster on them. The responsibility for harm to the citizens of Gaza lies on the shoulders of Hamas and Israel regrets every harm to them.” He added: “The difference betweenIsrael and Hamas is that we use missiles to defend the citizens of Israel while they use the civilian population to defend the stores of their missiles.”In the face of the mounting casualty rate, the army has distributed a video with English subtitles of a pilot cancelling an airstrike in Gaza because he sees civilians in the target range. “Thereare people close to our target. It looks like there are people, maybe children,” the pilot says. Another voice can be heard responding: “We won’t attack this target now, let’s go on.” Source - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/israelgaza-conflict-benjamin-netanyahu-blames-hamas-for-civilian-casualties-in-gaza-strip-9603619.html |

Flashaldrin: And your point is....?? They should accept whoever comes their way?? Looks like you've been rejected multiple times...You can't be so quick to conclude. I don't think u've witnessed a situation whereby a lady dismisses every man as not being of the perfect height, perfect pocket size, stature, complexion and others. I know of one who dismissed most men with most of these excuses & ended up marrying at around 40. And i didnt say they should accept every man that comes their way... |

A reduced ban may likely pop up for under-fire Uruguay forward, Luis Suarez as FIFA President Sepp Blatter has stated that he wishes the Liverpool striker is back in action soonest. Suarez was handed a four-month and nine-international match ban for biting Italian defender Gorgio Chellini; a development that has generated varying reactions. However, it seems Blatter has been won over by Suarez decision to apologise for his act as he described the gesture as an act of fair play. "He said 'I'm sorry' to the soccer family, and that's fair play. That shows he's a great player and I hope he can have his soccer career back” The FIFA president was quoted as saying on ESPN. While Blatter’s comment looks to give hope to an early return for Suarez, the FIFA supremo has been cautious not to join words with Uruguay President Jose Mujica who was so critical about the world football governing body. "The president is totally independent," Blatter said, insisting Suarez's chequered past was taken into account by the disciplinary committee disappointed that an apology was slow in coming. "I can't comment on what he [Mujica] said. "To show just how much he is a priceless asset, Liverpool and Barcelona are already in talks over Suarez with a possible transfer fee of £80 million being muted. |

The Chairman of the National Information Centre, Mr. Mike Omeri, has said that Nigeria will overcome the current security challenges facing the nation before the 2015 general elections. Answering questions from journalists in Abuja on Wednesday at the regular briefing on security challenges across the country, Omeri said everything was being done, not only to secure the freedomof the girls abducted from Chibok on April 14, but also to ensure peace across the country. He said, “We have not reached election period yet and all efforts now are essentially geared towards rescuing our Chibok girls and finding peace in the land. At the rate we are going, our challenge will be overcome before the elections. ”Omeri expressed happiness at the arrest of the alleged armourer of Boko Haram group, saying it was a significant step in the war against terrorism and the effort to rescue the abducted girls. The Director General of the National Orientation Agency also spoke on other security issues, including the bomb that went off in Osun State on Tuesday. He said, “We roundly condemn Tuesday’s acts of terrorism in Maiduguri, and to commend the prompt action of our security forces that rapidly secured the area in an effort toprevent further attacks on onlookers, particularly the FireService that displayed heroism by putting out the fire caused by the explosion, thereby preventing it from spreading into the market. “Furthermore, Nigeria’s security forces have continued to make significant progress with active presence on the ground to combat the highly challenging and complex terrorist threat that currently exists as well as ensuring long term safety and security of the people and the nation. “There was a report of a non-lethal explosion from an object, which was investigated by security agencies at Agbedegbede Street, Ile-Ife, Osun State. The outcome of the investigation indicated thatthe explosion was neither a bomb nor dynamite, but carbide. Neither the ground where the explosion occurred nor the building within the vicinity were affected by the explosion, just as no human life was lost, neither was plantain shrubs near it destroyed. ”Omeri added that the Federal Government appreciated the patience and support of Nigerians toward efforts aimed at bringing an end to the activities of insurgents in the country. |
Diego Costa is where he wants to be and I am absolutely thrilled for him.I love Diego as a player. At Atletico Madrid, he gave us so much and I will always be grateful to those players who have given me their all. Diego behaved in that way the whole time he was with us, so I wish him the very best at Chelsea. I hope he has a great season. He can still get a lot better, keep growing. He’s at an age where he can continue to improve, so let’s hope he can develop further. He’ll have to adapt quickly to the system at Chelsea and to the coach, but let’s hope the team can take full advantage of his characteristics. I see a player very much on the way up and I’m sure he’ll be a success. Top strikers have come and gone at Atletico. The club have always seemed to be able to minimalise the impact when big players leave. Fernando Torres left, Diego Forlan left, Sergio Aguero left, Radamel Falcao left and now Costa and David Villa have moved on – and the teamhas remained competitive. Atletico have always done well in that respect and I hope the same thing will happen this time with a suitable replacement for Diego. When Aguero left, many saw it as a big blow, but Falcao came in and the team won trophies. Then Falcao left and people said we wouldn’t be able to compete, but we kept growing with Costa.I believe a team as a whole is much more important than its individual players. Look at Colombia. They have been a sensation in this WorldCup – and they have done it withoutFalcao. Colombia are a team with great balance and they have a lot of players who want the ball.Despite Falcao’s absence through injury, they have been able to compete as a team and coach Jose Pekerman deserves credit for that.Costa could have played for Brazil at this tournament, but he chose Spain instead. Brazil’s strikers have taken some criticism, but I believe their front three are doing a good job.Although they haven’t been able to produce their finest football so far in this competition, they remain very dangerous and as the World Cup goes on, the forwards will benefit from having played more time together. There are also likely to be more spaces available from now on and that will help them too. So there may be no Diego Costa for Brazil, but the side’s forwards all work hard and there’s plenty of power and quality in their front three. As the team improves, I’m sure they’ll come good. Do You Believe Athletico will come up with a striker as prolific ?

Mikel was manageable in the past. But now,he has totally declined. He has Onazi to be grateful to for it was he.who spared his blushes & covered up for him. It pisses me off seeing ballers like Messi & Ronaldo fighting & struggling for the ball, playing their hearts out and on watching our brother, all he does is jog and shield the ball. From Who ? Evil forces ?? Mikel's days in football are numbered if he doesn't up his game as there isnt any room for him in the Chelsea team. |
ideycraze?:That's what the society has made people assume. The society we live in has practically relegated them. Take into consideration university & poly graduates applying for a job. Within the university graduates, there's a struggle by those who made 1st class & those with a 2nd before they take poly graduates into consideration. And for all i know, there would definitely be poly graduates with more knowledge & wisdom than some uni grads. |
olenyi: And murray is also out. Ok.Yeah...beaten by Grigor Dmitrov although Murray didn't seem to be at the top of his game..looked bothered. |
