6 months visit visa granted

Funny thing is I was almost discouraged from applying because some things did not feel right
- My mum's statement of account was not organized at all. Even when I applied, I did not add a cover letter to explain the transactions
- Her business was not registered
- We had only family pictures as ties with Nigeria, nothing else

I went ahead to apply because I really need my mum here and I can't wait for another 6 months to build an account for application. God just decided to show me mercy.
Sometimes it depends on the ECO that vets your application. Just pray you don't enter the hands of some very strict ECOs

Ps: Don't be like me o. Do your due diligence before application. What worked for A may not work for B

Mamas in the house, please what medications do you take when pregnant. Asides the one prescribed during antenatal tho, my first pregnancy I added "pregnacare" I'll like to know if I can try something for a change or add to my knowledge too..


And what month is best to commence antenatal please

Mama you either take the ones given to you during antenatal only or you take just pregnacare. Please do not combine. Pregnacare already contains folic acid and all the vitamins they give you during antenatal.

I guess they told you "ceph" short for "cephalic". It simply means your baby is head down, which is a good position mama

I honestly don’t know anything bout that, she doesn’t use any drug cos I been telling her not to even paracetamol cos it might be dangerous unless doc prescribe it.

Routine drugs are of different types. Once she starts antenatal, the hospital will provide her with these drugs. They are usually about 4 or 5 different drugs that she has to take daily. Some of them have funny smell and taste and some women do not tolerate them. Although there are other brands that have no taste or smell and she just needs one tablet a day

I am about 6weeks plus pregnant. I did my first scan on wed, everything was on point. Yesterday evening I started bleeding seriously, just kept dropping. Rushed to the hospital and I was scanned, said baby was okay but I needed to be admitted and placed on bed rest. The bleeding stopped after about an hour.

Pls anyone bled like this in their early pregnancy and still delivered their healthy baby. I have hope in God, just want to know if this happens. This is my first pregnancy and it took me years � pls awaiting your inputs

Not me personally but I know some persons who experienced this and still gave birth to healthy babies.
It's good that you are on bed rest because you need to stay off your feet as much as possible. Also try not to engage in baby dancing or any rough play with hubby for now until your doctor is happy for you to do so. Speak positive things to your body and baby, do not let fear envelope you. This phase will pass mama. Sending you positive vibes

My wife is just a month+ pregnant (first time also).
She hasn’t been getting herself lately, she can’t do anything, been tired n stomachache can’t let her do anything in the house ever since.

And, till how many month should ante- natal starts?

Your wife is experiencing the packages that come with early pregnancy. Some women feel tired, crampy, nauseous and sick in the first 3 months. She should stop worrying herself. She will feel better in few weeks. Let her take her routine drugs and stay hydrated.
Antenatal in most government hospitals starts at 12 weeks (3 months). Some private hospitals will let you start earlier if you want to. She can get her first scan anywhere between 8 and 14 weeks. This would give her a more reliable due date compared to scans done later on in the pregnancy.

NB: If you are really worried about her state of health, take her to the hospital please

its just very irritating.... this are not even a mistake...this is incompetence and lack of knowledge from a bunch of low class people who are supposed to entry clearance officers

Majority of them just look for an excuse to deny the visa not minding the money and stress spent on the application process .
Another thing I noticed is the inconsistency in reasons for denial. They deny A for a particular thing and approve B for that same thing. Na to dey pray on top ECO matter.
It all really boils down to the officer going through your application

Please I would like to ask a question bothering me.
My wife just took in, let’s say a month+ I think, but the ish now is the frequent stomach aching, days of frequent feeling nausea has reduced actually which am glad about it but what’s disturbing me is how her stomach aches, in her words “something moving inside her, sometimes it could be the upper part or lower” so I just want to ask if it’s normal and is there anything to use or take note at this early pregnancy time?
Please would appreciate response on this.

Stomach cramps are quite common in early pregnancy. The feeling of something moving inside her should be the cramps and not the baby. The cramps usually go away on their own and she doesn't need to take anything for them. However, I would advise you both pop into a hospital and get her checked out, just to be safe. Well, from time memorial and as japa and travel remains, and going by some refusals posted on here a kobo additional fund received by an applicant which is more than stated monthly&yearly income could and have sometimes been perceived as ill-funds by an eco, hence your worries are legit.

I strongly suggest if for example you declare that mum earns #300000 monthly from her business, #3600,000 yearly(supposedly) every other income or funds shes received within this period, try to explain the source(s) and its purpose(s). Likewise you are expected to do so for outflow.

You know, this is an election time, some parties doing campaign with bullion van, some give away for upkeep, to avoid the eco thinking money laundering, lodgement,padding or financial romancing; just offer explanation where possible and necessary.

Otherwise, just wait few more months whilst you make things simpler and schedule the trip for a later time.

yes and being inexperienced in this field, I can't tell if the account is choatic or I'm probably just scared. The money I'm referring to as "bulk sums" may not even be bulk at all. I just need someone to take a closer look. But if it's not possible, then that's fine, I totally understand

Try to make all info to be given on the VAF tally with whatever supporting documents that would be included.

Otherwise, if things seem too unclear and the visit is one that can be undertaken at a later time, you might want to get mum to open another account, where a well tailored and descplined financial transactions are done, thus she pays herself income monthly, have a fixed monthly expenditure, whilst avoiding huge deposits/withdrawals during this period on this account.

Hello Good evening
I'm currently applying for a visit visa for my mum and I'm stuck at the money stage. She is a business woman.
I'm trying to use her 6 months statement of account to figure out what to put as her annual earnings and how much she spends in a month but the statement of account is really not straightforward. Sometimes her expenditure is very high and sometimes it is very low. I'm finding it difficult to work out what her average spending in a month should be. I would really appreciate your help
Again, how do I explain the bulk deposits and withdrawals that happen in the account?
I'm her sponsor, are all these necessary or am I worrying too much?
