Nice, maybe things have changed. We were definitely asked for the passport in 2018 and subsequently for renewal.

@originalposter just kuku log in and simulate an application to see what docs are required. It’s free.
Things have changed then, we used only birth certificate and visa was granted.

Please, me and my wife are on Tier 2 Visa and we had a baby 6 months ago here in the UK.
Do we need to apply for dependent visa for our baby or visa is not required?
And if visa is required, do we get our baby a Nigerian passport or is the visa application done with just birth certificate?
Thanks in anticipation!
Babies born in the UK can apply for a visa using their birth certificate. Having a passport is not compulsory.
Been there, done that

Yes,

Anyone requiring a care visa, both in and outside the UK, would be classed as an overseas/foreign care worker

So if a doctor/nurse already working in the UK needs to renew their visa, does this mean their existing dependents would no longer be allowed under their visa?

Not one person has addressed Madam's physical abuse, the marks on Ogas body and body pain. Im starting to see "toxic masculinity" kinikan up there too. Issorai

If it was the other way round, na so so call police, call police we go dey hear

Me I'll Sha advice Oga to snap pictures, record audio too and videos, keep in the cloud and make a report to the police before anything

The poster explained things in a way that made him look faultless. He already said a lot of things the wife did wrong, but what about his own faults?
People are just trying to make him realize that he is not entirely right too.
Not supporting domestic violence but there are two sides to every story. There is every possibility that his wife's side of the story will be entirely different from what the poster wrote.

Someone should please attend to my question;;

1. Does a 2year old born in the UK need international passport to apply for a dependant visa?

A baby born in the UK can apply for dependant visa using the birth certificate issued here in the UK.

I think I stated around 3 or 4 months in the first application, she spent just over 5 months. In subsequent applications, I have stated during as 4 or 5 months. Again your situation will determine how you structure your application
No vex abeg
How long does she stay back home before coming back again?

Wahala... ILR from 5 years to 8 years... Hmmm... There are better ways to tackle immigration and attract only quality talents sha. The Point Based system is not "pointing".

My major challenge with the whole thing is the fact that an Immigrant, no matter how skilled, is tied to the Sponsorship of the Employer. I don't mind the 8 years but requiring an Employment Sponsorship for 8 years is crazy. Such a person can't even easily change jobs but has to remain with Employers willing to sponsor and remain at the mercy of such Employers.

The Global Talent Visa would have been a good remedy but even that is not the easiest to get, I hear.

Don't want to talk about the Visa Fees and IHS for 8 years! smiley

Most foreigners will leave if this is implemented. Waiting 8 years for ILR is just too long cheesy. Other countries will take advantage and relax their immigration rules to accommodate the talents that would leave the UK.

I hope Nigerians learn from this ban. Another ban is looming, since people now go as far as asking for 10-16k for that almighty paper. Some are no longer ashamed of it, they advertise it on their WhatsApp status and social media handles. Meanwhile a lot of them paid NOTHING for that same paper. The way corruption has eaten so deep into some people's mind ehn.

Our country will be great again but that CHANGE we so crave INDEED must start with us.

what courses did you see on google?
I saw things like going to a college and spending 1 or 2 years to get a diploma in plumbing and becoming an apprentice/applying for a trainee position

check online for courses, the answers are there, ask google how to be a plumber and see the answer
I already asked google before coming here.
I only asked to hear from people's experience because I was not satisfied with answers from google

Thanks @stenvee and @hunee.

How long does it take to get passport back. Got the refusal email on Friday 10 December and they mentioned third party agent will reach out.

Give them 10 days to send you collection mail

Notarised.
Not court stamps and signatures only.
Get a lawyer involved to give it credence.
Thank you

Thanks for your answers. I will do all these in tha next application. I will include bank statements as far as 2019 and chats history . I included my pay slip and all in the last application.

Unfortunately the only thing I’m unable to get is the legal documentation to back the adoption as this was in 1998. But I have some old pictures of us too. I’m not sure what other document I can addd to prove the relationship.

You can go to court and get a declaration stating that you are her adoptive son. Make sure it's signed and stamped

Visa alert!!!
Biometrics - 16th November
Collection mail - 8th December

6 months visit visa granted

Funny thing is I was almost discouraged from applying because some things did not feel right
- My mum's statement of account was not organized at all. Even when I applied, I did not add a cover letter to explain the transactions
- Her business was not registered
- We had only family pictures as ties with Nigeria, nothing else

I went ahead to apply because I really need my mum here and I can't wait for another 6 months to build an account for application. God just decided to show me mercy.
Sometimes it depends on the ECO that vets your application. Just pray you don't enter the hands of some very strict ECOs

Ps: Don't be like me o. Do your due diligence before application. What worked for A may not work for B
