RAFAEL BENITEZ FINALLY SACkED Rafa Benitez has been sacked by Real Madrid - seven months after he took charge of the club. The former Liverpool and Chelsea boss has lost three of his 18 La Liga games in charge, though Los Blancos were kicked out out of the Copa Del Rey for fielding an ineligible player . Zinedine Zidane is current favourite to take over. Here are five other contender Real Madrid are on the lookout for a new permanent manager, after Rafa Benitez was shown the door on Monday. Los Blancos missed the chance to gain ground on La Liga favourites Barcelona over the weekend, who were held to a 0-0 draw in the Catalan derby with Espanyol. Real were held to a 2-2 draw by Gary Neville's Valencia at the Mestalla after being pegged back twice. Club president Florentino Perez held a meeting at the Bernabeu on Monday afternoon to confirm that the former Liverpool manager's time in the Spanish capital was up. Here are the candidates for the vacancy: 1. Zinedine Zidane Legend: Club legend Zidane has taken over from Benitez The Frenchman, one of Real Madrid's greatest ever players and the current interim boss, would be a popular choice at the Bernabeu if he proves his credentials over the next couple of months. Zidane was the manager of Real Madrid Castilla, the club's reserve team, and last year gained his UEFA Pro Licence, allowing him to manage at the top level. While he doesn't have the managerial pedigree of a Jose Mourinho, a Carlo Ancelotti, or, indeed, a Rafa Benitez, he is a keen student of the game. His spell in charge of Castilla has proved a success, with the young side second in the third tier of Spanish football, and fans would definitely be more patient with him than they were with Benitez. Odds: 1/3 2. Jose Mourinho What's that Jose? Yep, another job in the pipeline... Mourinho only left Real Madrid in 2013 but it is no secret Florentino Perez remains an admirer of the Special One. He is out of a job following his sacking by Chelsea in December and was rumoured to be waiting for the Manchester United hot seat to become available. However, with Louis van Gaal hanging in at Old Trafford, he could have to wave goodbye to that one and settle for a return to the Bernabeu. In terms of size and stature of the club, there aren't many other places you could currently see Mourinho rocking up at. Odds: 10/3 3.Laurent Blanc Moving on: Blanc could move on from PSG after being a massive success in France Paris Saint-Germain's manager has won just about all there is to win with the French club other than the Champions League. He is a highly regarded manager across Europe, and while PSG are certainly one of the elite clubs on the planet, they aren't yet in the bracket of Real Madrid. Blanc can rightfully feel as if he has earned himself a shot at the Real job given his success at the Parc des Princes and at Bordeaux before that. Odds: 25/1 4. Andre Villas-Boas Turnaround: Villas-Boas has found the secret to success in Russia After a flying start to his managerial career at Porto, AVB never quite hit the heights of his potential during a two-year stay in England. A prodigy of Jose Mourinho, Villas-Boas struggled during his time at Chelsea and Tottenham and was removed from his position shortly into both jobs. But he moved to Zenit Saint Petersburg in Russia and has since flourished again, leading the side to the Russian Premier League title and the Russian Super Cup. He will leave the post at the end of the current season to return closer to home, meaning Real could be the perfect job for him. Odds: 25/1 5. Mauricio Pochettino Hitting form: Pochettino is a man in demand after turning Spurs into title contenders The Tottenham boss's stock is growing by the game with his side emerging as unlikely Premier League title contenders over recent weeks. Daniel Levy won't want to lose Pochettino given the outstanding work he has done since taking over, but there won't be much he can do if Real Madrid come calling. It may yet be a few years too soon for Pochettino to get the not at Real, but if he carries on the way he is going, there's little doubt he will get one of football's biggest jobs in years to come. Odds: 25/1 Source: www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/rafa-benitez-sacked-live-updates-7115327 |
[quote author=CoachFaith post=32558862]“Sir, can we all become entrepreneurs? And if not, what advice do you have for those of us who look forward to being gainfully employed?” A young man delivered a dazzling lectures at NYSC Orientation Camp Nkewere LGA of Imo State that changed and determined my passion in life. He titled the talk “The Jobs Are No More, So Think Entrepreneurship!” I thought, what a great Topic… so I had a tough time battling with rushing thoughts during his ‘sweet’ presentation and at the end I was opportune to ask a question. And if not, what advice do you have for those of us who look forward to being gainfully employed?” Unfortunately, he never answered the question. He instead passed a cruel remark on me He relied “…only lazy people think that way”. I also wish he never answered me that way because he was booed off the stage and literally ‘Control Z’ all the nice impression he had made. After my NYSC in 2011, I embarked on a JOB SEARCH ADVENTURE - Took about 26 interviews in 3 years! PEP GUARDIOLA WILL LEAVE BAYERN MUNICH AT THE END OF THE SEASON Pep Guardiola has told Bayern Munich he will leave the club at the end of the season according to Spanish news paper Marca. Guardiola had on Tuesday said he'd reveal his future next week “Tonight I have no answer,” he said after Bayern’s DFP Pokal victory over Darmstadt. “Next week you will know the answer. Next week there will be clarity Marca reports Guardiola has formally told Bayern he has no intention of signing a new contract with his current three-year deal to expire at the end of the season. According to the Madrid-based paper: The Catalan has informed the suits at the Allianz Arena that he has made his mind up to seek out pastures new. He feels that things have reached breaking point because of a fundamental disconnect between his footballing philosophy and the club’s ethos, not to mention certain man-management issues he has had with the squad. As far as Guardiola is concerned, there is no turning back. The way he sees it, his time in charge of the Bundesliga champions has run its course and prolonging his stay beyond the end of this season could do both the club and himself more harm than good. Carlo Ancelotti set to replace him, according to reports emerging on Wednesday afternoon.

WHY BUHARI HAS ADDED NIGERIA TO A FRACTIOUS ISLAMIC SUNNI ORGANIZATION OF COUNTRIES: and how we have become automatic enemies of Iran etc. December 16, 2015 By Ena Ofugara Buhari joins us to a group against Shiite Muslims the very week his army slaughters them. Did you hear of the Zaria killings? Have u been hearing of bombings of Mosques and hearing it is Jonathan or by Christians? Have people pointed out that since Muslim are being killed too then bOKO Haram is not religious? In the words of Zebrudaya FA FA FA FOUL. It is very religious. Ross Alabo-George and I will explain. Anti-Shi’ism is alive and well in Nigeria: Anti-Shi’ism is the prejudice against or hatred of Shia Muslims based on their religion and heritage. The term was first defined by Shia Rights Watch in 2011, but has been used in informal research and scholarly articles for decades. The dispute over the right successor to Muhammad resulted in the formation of two main sects, the Sunni, and the Shia. The Sunni, or followers of the way, followed the caliphate and maintained the premise that any member of Quraish could potentially become the successor to the Prophet if accepted by the majority. The Shia however, maintain that only the person selected by God through the Prophet (Hadith of the pond of Khumm) could become his successor, thus Imam Ali became the religious authority for the Shia people. Militarily established and holding control over the Umayyad government, many Sunni rulers perceived the Shia as a threat – both to their political and religious authority. Majority of Nigerian Muslims are Sunni. Including the Chief of Army Staff, National Security Adviser and the President. In Iran, the leading Shiite Muslim nation, 95% of the Muslims are Shi’ites. So now you understand the politics … So when you hear Muslims were killed, it is never about Jonathan or AYo Oritsejafor or any Christian. Christians caneven barely defend their lands in the Middle-Belt. The violence is one sided…MUSLIM (make we see true talk make devil shame) So you see how Buhari, in disregard for the Shiites and perhaps in slaughter and annihilation of them, he has added Nigeria to a division of Islam…. a warring killing division. Again, we have inherited a religious war many Muslims do not need and Christians have no business being a part of. This dictator, without a referendum or senate approval has added Nigeria to a religious group in breach of our Constitution which says we are “SECULAR” which in truth means WITHOUT GOD but now literally meaning “Of all religions with no bias” For the younger ones, there was a time there was COLD WAR between Russia and America. Nigeria stayed UNALIGNED. These were world powers looking for allies and offering support. They did not “have” oil then. Yet we did not take sides despite the comparative advantage in being say American ally.. Today we join COMPETITORS who sell oil like us, cannot help us with ammunition and then we make enemes of IRAN that is an emerging Nuclear power with nuclear bomb and arms to destroy countries around her. Saudi Arabia, out of fear, has enlisted Nigeria, country with many Muslim soldiers. Buhari joins us to a group against Shiite Muslims the very week his army slaughters them. COURT OF APPEAL SACKS GOVERNOR WIKE OF RIVERS STATE A five-man Court of Appeal panel sitting Abuja has upheld the ruling of the gubernatorial election tribunal in Rivers state. In a 110-page ruling delivered by Justice M.B. Dongban-Mensem the Court ruled that the election of Nyesom Wike did not conform with the electoral act. In delivering a final ruling the Court of Appeal decided all the seven issues raised by Governor Wike against in favour of Dakuku Peterside and the All Progressives Congress party. The appellate court refused to discard the findings of a lower tribunal saying the number of witnesses is not the main issue but evaluation of the strength of evidence before the trial court. Issue one on fair hearing resolved for the APC candidate, Dakuku The appellate court also stated it has evaluated the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission and holds them sacrosanct. The Court of Appeal said it agrees that gubernatorial election was marred by wide-scale violence. On issue two regarding competence of ruling by the new chairman in the lower tribunal, stamps, issuance of service and jurisdiction, the court ruled it was in order. On issue three about locus standing to institute the case at the tribunal in 21 days, the issue was again resolved in APC's favor. The court described the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Wike as crying more than the bereaved. Issue four on INEC manuals, guidelines and non-compliance including non-issuance of pre- hearing notices by the chairman of the lower tribunal, court resolved in APC's favor saying it was immaterial. Issue five is on the reliance on documentary evidence by the tribunal resolved for APC On issue six as to whether the lower tribunal was right on card readers, the appeals court said in the evaluation of the evidence before the tribunal after a thorough analysis of the subject matter of card readers, and its use, the lead judge stated categorically that card readers guarantees credible elections. The Court stated that INEC manuals were consistent with the provisions of electoral Act. The Court then dismissed Wike's appeal on all grounds and ordered INEC to conduct a fresh governorship election in Rivers state within 90 days Source: saharareporters.com/2015/12/16/court-appeal-sacks-governor-wike-rivers-state
