Celebrities / Photo: Omawumi’s Feet Being Washed As She Enters Husband’s House. by StevinMorgan(m): 7:49pm On Jan 24, 2015
Going by some traditions, the foot-washing symbolises that the wife will keep her husband clean in their new home.

So when music star Omawumi married her daughter’s father Tosin Yussuf penultimate week, it’s expected that her feet will be washed as she’s to be ushered into her husband’s home.

Music Business / MUST SEE: Did Don Jazzy Diss D’banj In New Song? [LOOK] by StevinMorgan(m): 8:13pm On Jan 22, 2015
According to recent finds by one of the news and entertainment blogs in Nigeria Don Jazzy and D’banj have parted ways for a while now over irrecoverable differences but while at that, the two have never taken shots at each other until now.

It appears shots were thrown at D’Banj in the latest release of D’Prince titled Oga Titus (here). Produced by Don Jazzy
With rumours saying D’Banj is in a debt mess, Don Jazzy and his younger brother D’Prince & Don Jazzy repeatedly took swipe at the DB Records chief in the song calling him “Oga Titus” instead of “Eja Nla”. Titus is a kind of fish while Eja Nla means Big Fish. Titus is usually small in size.

Quotable lyrics from the song
“Oga Titus is too pompous, you wan try us, now money don lost, boys are very big boys, you don Bleep up, you wan form boss, kasala don burst, where is oga Titus
.You take night bus to come lagos, you go campus, girl are very surplus, you no hint us, you wan com flex, now money don loss…”

While at it, the lyrics of the song might not be a shot at D’Banj as D’Prince recently said in an interview that Mavin Records miss the Feeling The Ni**a singer

grin intresting abi?

Politics / The BIG Difference B/w Jonathan & Buhari [MUST READ] by StevinMorgan(m): 6:53pm On Jan 20, 2015
Written by Barrister Festus Keyamo

"Do not forget that I am from the Niger-Delta region and all my close friends and associates are the main supporters and aides of Mr. President. Two or three Governors who are either my former classmates or colleagues are the main backers of Mr. President. It is so easy, so convenient and so seemingly logical for me to get into that political mix and forget about the good of my country for personal gains.

The disgusting message we hear all over the streets of that region every day at this time - promoted by the hirelings of the President – is that Goodluck Jonathan is “our son”, so we have no choice but to support him. In fact, I see some of my “brothers” from the Niger Delta region these days strutting all over the place, denigrating people from other regions. It is typical of what the Yorubas call “omo oju ori ola ri” (a person whose eyes have not seen wealth before).

But the question I ask those who tell me such nonsense and behave in such a manner is that:
after the next four years, what is next for us? Is our entire future and that of our children dependent on a South-South President for the next four years?
Kindly note that in getting down from the fence and speaking up at this critical time, I do not mind if you speak up for Goodluck Jonathan. Yes, you have a right to do so as a Nigerian. But, as an elite, your stand must be known so that when the massacres continue because of cluelessness, when the unrestrained stealing of our public resources continue, when darkness continues to befall the nation because of lack of power, it is important we all remember those who betrayed their conscience and the people because of ethnicity and self-aggrandisement and for posterity to record it as such.

We have a President who has no single appetite to fight corruption – yes, none. Imagine a campaign that is dominated by the theme of corruption, yet the President has decided to appoint a person facing trial for money-laundering as his Director of Media and Publicity. If nobody would say it, I will say it because I am the one prosecuting the fellow in court and the case has been adjourned to February 23 and 24 for trial. Part of the lies told is that the fellow has been freed whereas some of the counts in the Charge were just struck out and the court held that he has a case to answer on some other counts. Yet nobody is asking the President these hard questions."
"The clear alternative to this monumental mess is the person of General Muhammadu Buhari. Let us be clear that Buhari does not present the total package Nigerians want at this time. He is human, he is not perfect. But at this point in our history, at this time, at this moment, he presents the only viable option and avenue for the people to vent their frustrations and anger against an inept and clueless Federal Government. He represents the rallying point for the frustrated and teeming masses of our people. He reminds me of MKO Abiola (with some of his imperfections) who became the rallying point in the struggle against military rule.

That is the change we are talking about. It is not a change from imperfection to perfection. It is a change from hopelessness and cluelessness to some hope and to some expectations."

Celebrities / Muna Obiekwe’s Dead Body, Corpse (photo): See Story From His Sister... RIP by StevinMorgan(m): 8:16pm On Jan 19, 2015
For fans wishing to hear that the death news of popular Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe is a rumour, sorry to disappoint you. The actor has indeed died.

Story from the sister.
Hardworking Muna Obiekwe’s kidney disease battle started early last year but he kept it secret to avoid excessive exposure to the media and his colleagues.
Instead of soliciting for funds for a life-saving kidney transplant surgery, the actor planned a stage play in order to raise more money for kidney dialysis but when he ran out of cash earlier this year, he stopped the dialysis.

On Sunday the 18th of January 2015, his deteriorating health became worse. The actor who was found vomiting in his home in Lagos yesterday was rushed to a nearby clinic in Festac where he was in coma for over 4 hours. He was put on emergency kidney dialysis but it was too late.
Muna Obiekwe didn’t wake up from coma. Doctors at the undisclosed specialist hospital in Festac reportedly certified him dead at exactly 4:05pm yesterday. This was disclosed by the sister of the deceased.

His body has been transferred to the Nigerian Navy reference Hospital, Ojo mortuary.

No disrespect this is just to put to rest the ongoing claim that the actor’s death is a rumour

May his gentle soul rest in peace and may God comfort his loved ones

Crime / Shocking Photo : Father 'buried 10-year-old Child Alive Because She Was A Girl' by StevinMorgan(m): 3:40pm On Jan 18, 2015
A man was arrested for trying to bury his 10-year-old daughter alive in the backyard of his home.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon in Putia village close to the India-Bangladesh border. Police sources say the man's dislike for the girl child led him to commit the alleged crime.

According to NDTV, The accused, Abul Hussein, allegedly dug a pit in his backyard while his wife was away. He then allegedly put his daughter in the pit, hands tied, mouth taped and filled earth upto her chest level.

Realising that his wife had returned home, Hussein allegedly placed a bamboo-drum over his daughter's head, intending to bury her later. But his wife soon grew suspicious and raised an alarm, following which neighbours rescued the girl. They later thrashed her father and informed the police.

Hussein has been booked for attempt to murder and was sent to judicial custody till January 20 by a local court."Abul Hussein was roughed up by the people who rescued the girl from half-buried condition.

Politics / Don’t Come To Bayelsa To Bribe Our Mothers With Bags Of Rice – Youths Warns Dame by StevinMorgan(m): 1:04pm On Jan 17, 2015
A group of concerned youths in Bayelsa State under the auspices of Bayelsa Youth has threatened to disrupt the re-election rally of President Goodluck Jonathan slated for 5 February in Yenagoa, the state capital, if the wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan attended.

The organisation therefore warned her not to accompany her husband for the presidential campaign. Bayelsa is the home state of President Jonathan.

The warning, the group said, was sequel to what it described as attempts by the First Lady to destabilise and fuel needless crisis and political tension in the state.
The Spokesperson of BYV, Precious Ebi Johnson, in a statement on Wednesday said the the First Lady would not be allowed to come to the state “unless she retraced her steps or otherwise we will mobilise against the president’s rally.”

The statement read in part:“We are constrained to issue this statement bearing this important warning to bar the First Lady from accompanying President Goodluck Jonathan to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, for the presidential rally on 5th of February.
“Our action is well informed by the various steps and activities of the First Lady in recent times which portend clear danger for the good health of our dear state.
“We note with regret the various attempts by the First Lady to create crisis in the state through subterfuge or using surrogates.
“As things are, we want to make it very clear to her that she has to change this attitude or we go against her coming to Yenagoa with the president for the presidential campaign. Indeed, we may be forced to mobilise against the entire rally.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we want to state clearly that we love our dear president. President Goodluck Jonathan is our own even when we have to add that we have not really benefited from his administration as expected.

“We dare say the president should not come to Bayelsa with his wife if she continues to fuel crisis and destabilising the state for no just reason except for selfish reasons.
“This is not Rivers State and we won’t allow it to happen. The youths of Bayelsa will not allow her to step her foot into Bayelsa soil unless she retraced her steps.
“We want to further state that we are not sponsored by anybody but certainly cannot just stand by and allow our peaceful state to be dragged to the mud as she did in Rivers State.

We are no fools.
“The First Lady cannot come to our state to dictate for us who to support and vote for. We are matured enough to know what is good for us. Nobody should come and bribe our poor mothers and women with expired bags of rice and little change in the name of politics to mislead our people”,the group said.
