PS: I showed the mail to a friend of mine with a PhD in Law from Yale University and he laughed at the bad presentation, replica email and awkward tactics used. No cause for alarm. Just don't PAY, pls I repeat PAY money to anybody for a lawyer. If they want true movement, like every sane tactics, they will first use reliable social medias or genuine email address to gather true followers not invading applicants mail.
I think making payments for any reason is not an option, Commonwealth deserves to know of the plight of Nigerians but it should be done the right way.

The time you submitted your application plays no role in the speed of review. Chevening has specific timelines which it adheres to. if your application is being reviewed by your local embassy then that is the final stages before shortlisting for interview. And you will be very lucky if your application got that far.

Well I guess they are still updating it as some got the update a day interval. Am still expecting an update and I believe it's on the way.

I don't really think so, I believe the date of submission of application is determinant of the fastness of your application been reviewed, my opinion though, let's keep our fingers crossed and expect the best. My tiny opinion though.

Its 13days after exams that result is usually released. So hopefully by Friday or saturday if there is no extension in my case. I should be able to post.
BTW, has anyone tried logging in to their portal on chevening website yesterday/today. Mine is not opening, not a case of password tho. I believe its probably because the site is busy cos of their shortlisting.

When did you try logging in?

More so I got a mail from them acknowledging the receipt of my resume, thanking me for my interest in their graduate program and directing me to log on to their site (link inclusive) to register properly. Anyone else with this mail, and what it signifies. Thanks in anticipation of your response.

ElDeeVee my boss has answered you but lemme add something, apart from the fact that it cannot be used in place of IELTS, it's not accepted by chevening, the only acceptable tests are IELTS, TOEFL, CAE ie Cambridge & PEARSON PTE academic test.

To my little understanding, the believe is that after the reading and stuff, we will be graded and given marks based on our reference, motivation, leadership and all those answers, and relevance to their selected important areas for our country, then pass it down to the local *British* Embassy in your country for shortlistment, those with a high score or thereabouts will be shortlisted for interview then they trim it further after the interview (I also believe the interview will be in two batch, *I might be wrong on that though). The whole stuff is based on merit to me. After submitting your application, everything boils down on luck and most importantly God's grace and favour, my little opinion though. Happy waiting all, I will also advise we start making application to our university as some of them have deadline for application. Once again please anyone that picked University of Birmingham should please notify me. Thanks for your time.
