Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Official Thread by Stevostical(m): 9:57pm On Mar 31, 2023
Hi peeps, my sister has been trying to apply but series of challenges. This morning before I left for work, she tried using my laptop but site issues couldn't allow her finish before I left for the office. This night she decided to continue only to find her application submitted. All efforts to see if the application can be withdrawn has proved abortive. The site isn't even connecting again. Please can anyone advise?

Good evening but like an average place, how much can one get a selfcontain there?

It would help if one knows your budget, then we could make recommendations and your definition of average too.

Ehnn now somebody is saying something and being honest..thanks man.. Because I hear some people saying they get up to 40 even in practice and maintain scores between 35-40 when practicing and I'll be asking myself is it not the same Cambridge or YouTube materials I'm also practicing that is so tough especially the YouTube listening, its very difficult to score 35 without repeating the audio talk more of 38

See forget practice score ooo, you cannot really recreate exam scenarios. Concentration is actually key, I don't think I have scored up to 36 in practice but I have gotten 8.5 in listening twice, 2017 and last month exam. Pay attention to the instructions so you don't miss out on word count then avoid distractions.

I'll be going to Enugu State for a project. Please what would you advise someone moving there? How is the state like?
I think you will like the state, it has a serene environment with civil and friendly citizens. I dare say low crime rate and quite safe.

Hi stevostical, a lot of people actually say most of the questions especially the theory are from the past questions and you can perform really well if you spend more of your time on past questions cos they’re repeated a lot. How true is this
Hi Diva,

Past questions will make you decode the way the questions will be structured and the best way to go about answering it. However I will advise you read the material for better understanding and performance.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Total International Master’s Degree Scholarship 2019/2020 - FRANCE by Stevostical(m): 11:32am On May 05, 2020
Let me add this, research a little about Total, this i believe was part of my undoing, apparently i was told no question will be asked about them and that was how after having the best interview i have ever had then, one silent observer just asked, ehn Prof to be, you seem to have prepared well, what do you know about Total, na so nervousness start, i started saying things i learnt in my petroleum economics class but alas it was not relevant again. grin
FlowAssurance:
A few tips:

- Wear your best suit & tie and look for a good, quiet place with proper lightning
- Don't use mobile data please.. Use a good WIFI connection, get a modem.
- Rehearse your motivation letter, know some of the courses you will be studying and how it will help you in your future career.
- Why did you apply?
- How does your first degree and current work experience (if any) fits into your proposed study?
- Be CONFIDENT and don't LIE! even if the lie would be very very little.

All these are basic questions though..Things might get technical.
Just feel free and treat it like having a conversation with a group of people.

Wishing y'all success.

Okay, Steve
What if I registered a study center in Lagos and relocate
What happens

You meant what happens to your money after registering in Lagos and relocating right? And if you could continue your lessons in the new relocated state?

Is it possible to pass the exams without going to study centers?
Y am asking is bcus of my work and i cant attend study centers but i can read d materials at home and i heard dey hardly set questions from the materials
How true is this?

Hi Sam,

I didn't attend any centre and mostly start reading 3 days to the exam (Not advisable though)

The questions are from the material biko, all the objectives are from there, try answering the practice questions after each chapters, it sure helps. More so, the most important thing I see in the case study is the Interpretation. Once you are able to do that correctly, you will score well, in most case studies, there is no 'right or wrong' answer but your ability to carefully argue your point. Often times, points are gotten from your knowledge gained from the material.

In summary, the material is very important and very relevant, the only sad thing is that its mostly voluminous and sometimes repeats what you have learnt in previous diets or course. Cheers and best of luck.

Any one that has passed that stage, should please lend me,for an amount.
Thanks

I completed all my exams in Enugu even though my house address reads Lagos. You just have to select Enugu centre when registering for the exams, if you have further enquiries do reach out.

that's my point...most people I saw last year were first class shortlisted for the test...or near first class guyz

I was in the interview stage in 2017 and most invited were 2:1 more like 75% of us were 2:1 candidates with some on 3.50 cgpa. The most important is firstly getting shortlisted for the test and passing it.
