I dont understand your problem with the 'christian god' as u put it, but one fatal historical blunder u are making is saying Abraham came up with the idea of a 'Christian god'. this is all I'll say about this issue:
1. cohabiting is alien to the tenor of the Holy Scriptures, as far as the Bible is concerned, it is described as fornication. it should not be tolerated, encouraged either actively or passively, neither should it be heard even amongst saints...the Papacy in this instance seems to be patting them in the back!
2.homosexuality is perversion of the highest order. the bible calls it 'inconvenience'-ROM.1:28. only a reprobate mind engages in it: that is a mind equal to that of a wild animal! Christians are not animals, so we shouldn't even mention this not to talk of doing it. take note, one Roman Catholic Bishop started this in the church!!
3. there may be consequences in the flesh when sexual sins are committed, but so far as we know from the Bible, when you have sex with anyone other than your lawfully-wedded spouse, you DISHONOUR your body which is the Temple of God's Spirit. what this dishonour is can only be inferred...but do you want to find out what God will do to those who destroy His House?

It's only confessing CHRIST that makes u a true CHRISTIAN. Not all christians would make it to heaven however, cause the Bible says "he (Christ) will ask some to depart that he knows them not. The journey to heaven starts with the confession, next you should live peacably with all man and you should also be holy... the Bible says without holiness, no one will see the Lord.

what is wrong with what he said is calling the word sent from the mouth of the man of God a lie and falsehood. well, everyone is entitled to hold their opinions and he may hold his but not to cast aspersions on what he knows little or nothing about.

after reading thru some of the posts above, I realized that the first mistake most of us commentators made was that we do not understand that all the Scripture is based on Jesus Christ. everything was written TO us, but not everything was written FOR us. not everything in the OT (old testament) is the christian supposed to claim; unless it refers to our father Abraham. the NT (new testament) was written so we would understand the life and work and ministry of our Saviour Jesus; not everything He said applied to the Church or the Church Age. the Epistles were written to us and many other instructions were given to the Church as the exigency came. we can follow them, for an example: covering of hair is still practiced by some churches, that will not take you to Heaven or Hell or make you lose your salvation whether you practice it or not. we should all know the mind of Christ for His Church.
On the issue of salvation, you cannot lose your salvation. why? because you did not save yourself; you only accepted salvation. ROM 10 from verse 8 thru 10 makes us understand that the only work we did at salvation was accepting it by confession and believing Christ as the Lord and Saviour.
And Yes, salvation is perpetual and eternal. To lose your salvation, confess and believe that Jesus is no more your Lord and Saviour and there u have it! I sure know no one wants to lose their salvation, so let those who don't believe, or think that it is too easy and unbelieveable know that this is the GOSPEL!!! (EPH 1:8; 2:6- .

Heaven is the habitation of God and no man whosoever is there right now save Jesus Christ.
