Govt/NNPC didn't want to be the sole-offtaker from Dangote Refinery but the guy played emotional games on Nigerians and most people saw the government as anti-people.

Dangote didn't want to sell his refined fuel at a cheaper rate. That's why he insisted that NNPC must be the sole-offtaker.

I think both NNPC and DANGOTE are looking for an exploitative advantage.

They fail in other cases due to some of these reasons:
1. People or family members of victims don't cooperate with the police most times.
2. People don't have personal details of their family members who got kidnapped e.g. bank account, social media accounts passwords, itineraries, names of friends, etc.
3. Officials involved are just interested in money.
4. People throw away phone packets immediately after purchasing the phone.
5. Arm twisting by connection.
