Please explain further..

awesomeJ:
By pushing NGXGROUP to N113, the average broker has gotten about N200m towards, their capitalization target.
If they push it to N200 they will get additional N500m each.

In this case when two elephants fight na the grass go enjoy am. They should continue.. but a serious note. I believe when foreign investors beam their search lights for investments, those are some of the businesses they are likely to invest in aside banks cos of their systemic importance.

dapix:
What is going on with NAHCO and SKYAVN?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 11:55pm On Feb 06
Abi na SAHCO de ginger them...

Sunrisepebble:
I think that’s what’s driving the price because I wasn’t that impressed with the result
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 11:54pm On Feb 06
On top 2 billion outstanding shares... Abeg o. In as much as i would love that but they should not o. Except they have institutions intending to hold large positions. If not they should hold their peace..

Sunrisepebble:

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 11:15am On Feb 05
If SAHCO keeps flying above nahco it will favour those in Nahco. Cos there will be pressure on the MM of nahco. How their small bros come de pass them. Like wise when wapco tries to catch bua cement.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 10:25am On Feb 05
With rate of massive over subscription in treasury bills up to 4 trillion and consequent reduction in discount rate of 365 days, naira gaining against the dollar, inflation rate "reducing" and cbn possibly cutting MPR this month. Its a no brainer that the market will be bullish this quarter and next. Companies will also post better results in the mentioned quarters...

Agba our black hat thinker, what's your view, are we still expecting red valentine month...
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Stockhunter: 10:04am On Feb 05
But in this case, price of goods which is interest/discount rate will do the opposite which is go down.

RayRay06677:
I can sight massive over subscription.

Too much money chasing few goods, price of goods must go up.

Ren money is now 15% by the time you take out taxes it will come to 13.6% approximately

I'm a lover of fintech, all my banking and investment activities are all fintech for a long time now. I'm actually using Trustbanc via COWRYWISE. I just wanted to test the app and know it's flexibility. The only advantage is that you get your withdrawal same day and no charges when investing and withdrawing anytime you wish. COWRYWISE main advantage is weekend withdrawal after 24hours boring count down. Ren Money flexible 17percent which is stable is also good compare to most MMF rate.
For fix deposit, I used fairmoney they have the best rate for fintech so far.
Just for information please..
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 2:35pm On Jan 31
I am heavy on Nahco but i am beginning to have a second look at Sahco. They seem to have better growth prospects and fundamentals. My only challenge is that they have run ahead or at par with Nahco in terms of share price.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 6:37am On Jan 31
TIP wont just seize to amaze.. they far exceeded expectations and my projections of about 2B plus for full year PAT, raising the bar to 3B plus. They are yet to deploy the funds from right issue and PO. That should start reflecting from around Q2. So Q2 2026 is another time to look out for to see execution.

The MD said in one interview with naira metrics that there is nothing stopping their share price from hitting 135 naira in 5 years time. I even think he is being modest cos it will do that before 5 years. When the RI and PO funds are applied to reduce third parties which he said will reduce their input cost by 40% and their Uganda site development. With uganda discovering oil and their site just being opposite the exploration site in Uganda. This stock go give us our retirement money. All things being equal.

I just de smile as i de read the result. Abeg make them continue like this o.

jckgroup1:
Outstanding performance. RI and PO worth every kobo invested.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 6:41pm On Jan 23
How many stocks on the ngx are even in kobo. With the rate of repricing in the ngx in few years we may not even have less than 3 naira stock. Except a serious bear hits.

Oh i see... Thank you.

SohSoh:
Legend Internet was listed by introduction and I was able to buy the shares on day 1 or 2 immediately.

With Zichis, there’s only manipulation. 2.39 already? Up from 1.81..... Classic pump and dump in the making.

Anyways like i said My 2026 hustle is simple: Whistleblower / follow anybody fight or scatter ground ....

I’m waiting for grammar-blowers on TikTok or this FORUM, to come and recommend this daylight robbery as a good buy recommendation..... You go collect!!!!!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 6:11pm On Jan 22
True!!

Thank you for the insights from the past.

awesomeJ:
It was like this too with MTNN in 2019.
One guy (or man) here was seriously suggesting we sued MTNN and the then NSE when he was frustrated that he couldn't buy.

Later , late Chief Dozie and a few others decided to release more shares to the market.

At this point though, N1bn is almost like a give away valuation for any company on the NGX, especially in sectors enjoying great sentiments like the Agric sector is.

If there are individuals here with portfolio worth N5bn, isn't N1bn sort of cheap for an entire company?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 4:12pm On Jan 22
Abeg our OG's, has any company been listed by way of introduction before just like Zichis. Cos this pattern no work. They can decide to be releasing 100k units daily until the price hit 20 naira. Na to go float company and be ready to list.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 3:05pm On Jan 22
I think the pharmaceutical pump has entered ICT stocks. Which sector is next after ICT. Might be cement..🤷 Karl Tom, your oil and gas na one step forward two steps back. Oando's new love is that 40, e no gree leave am for anything.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 9:02pm On Jan 21
To even see am buy na issue. I believe through out this week it will be scarse. May be from next week it might be. It will do 50% or 100% before becoming available. After all some companies with less PAT or losses are even trading above it in prices. The company will get positive sentiment based on the sector they are in.

KarlTom:
ZICHIS

600m shares listed.
Daily trading >10% of listed shares.

Ideal for JIJO, more ideal for pump-and-dump.
Still observing till Firday... grin

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 10:20pm On Jan 14
@Awesome please did you get same concession from atlas?

awesomeJ:
Do you trade up to N100m every single month??

You can't be an investor that trades only once or twice a month and expect any concessions.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 8:39am On Jan 14
Naija and its anyhowness...

awesomeJ:
Almost 3 months now, and CSCS hasn't sent trade alerts even though they've been charging for it.

Over 15k per month for me.

Maybe they should allow us opt out.

That is why, one must shine their eyes. It is also important to ignore some of the analysis that can lead to paralysis on this investment side of Nairaland.

Till tomorrow, I am yet to know what drags DAAR in whatever direction.

There was a time a certain Cocoa company has its shares going up when close to nil activity was on going in their factory .

A certain pharmacy that no longer has " chemists" anywhere that I know is still here.

The price of a company that all I can attach to them are Diagnostic centers in Lagos, Ibadan and perhaps a few places in Nigeria is now close to N90.

Make God help us to shine our eyes.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 1:51pm On Jan 12
You know retail traders cannot create AON. Only institutions or brokers.

They are using the sell walls to scare weak hands. They are only controlling price without selling their stock.

You need to JO smiley

Nah not necessarily. Perhaps the accumulators dont want the price to fly yet...

Its even in a lot of stock... Aradel, bua cement. A lot of fake liquidity in offers.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 1:38pm On Jan 12
Why does the handler of Nahco not want the price to appreciate. They are building fake liquidity of almost 1M shares split in 5 places which never gets filled. This is just to restrict price movement and scare buyers while forcing sell off below that price.

E no get the kind game person no go see for ngx. It is also happening in champion breweries.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 7:06am On Jan 09
They should have given break down by countries. Lets see how that of Nigeria will impact NAhco..

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter:
Seems these brewring companies like to have large amount of outstanding shares. Just few days after the right issue closure. Or was the rights issue not successful..

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter:
Kudos brother... This is a very wonderful breakdown for any lay man to understand. I just cant help but appreciate such contribution. Some of us may not have the patience. Many thanks. And to others making valuable contributions, you are all cherished.

iskalamong:
At the moment, on a per share basis, UBA is not on the same level with GTCO or ZENITHBANK. Both in terms of earnings (Earnings per share (EPS)) or in terms of dividends (dividend per share (DPS)). It is inferior. It has been inferior.

The key phrase is the per share basis

This is called fundamental analysis/peer comparison. It helps you compare companies better.

To simplify it, I know they're all tier one banks. But their revenues, profit and dividends differ. Even when these things are similar, you may need to look at it on a per share basis for a clearer view.

I will use some illutrations for a better understanding.

Example 1:
Two companies make N1 billion as profit after tax. The first has 1 billion shares outstanding while the second has 10 billion shares outstanding.

If the first trades at N10 per share while the second trades at N2 per share, it may seem like the second is undervalued relative to the first. Many newbies may buy the second for this reason.

But if we break it down, the EPS or earnings per share are as follows:

First company EPS = N1 billion / 1 billion shares = N1.00 per share.

Second company EPS = N 1 billion/ 10 billion shares = N0.10 per share.

This shows that the first company's shares earn 10 times that of the second company. This explains the price difference.

Example 2:
Two companies are top players in an industry. They make similar profits, revenues and even EPS but one trades significantly higher than the other. E.g Company A trades at N25 per share while Company B trades at N40 per share.

Solution:
Since earnings, management quality, risk and company fundamentals are the same (or very similar), we may look at the dividend.

Company A might declare N2.45 per share while company B declared N5 per share. In this case, the price difference is due to the higher dividend from company B. This is similar to what is happening in ACCESSCORP and UBA at the moment. The latter has a higher dividend yield. Financial performance and company strength are relatively at par.

My illustrations are not perfect but they are a good start.

Wishing you the best in your investment journey.

For the gurus, I oversimplified because of newbies out there. This way, they can catch up.

Cheers!

Iskalamong!

Awesome i observed you mentioned that stamp duty will no longer be charged on the ngx. It is still being charged. What was your source for the information.

awesomeJ:
Not likely.

More likely to be a scaling issue with the NGX.

My brokers stream just fine any day deals are less than 30k.

The issue only happens when so many deals are happening in the market.

This is a market that typically did 5k deals per day up to around 2023.

Now we're seeing 50k, it looks like they haven't prepared enough for that.

It's to be sitting inside A. C doing nothing.

Airtel has been stuck for over 1 years now, for a company that has no problem other than an inefficient market
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 3:03pm On Jan 06
But this eunisell does not have that great fundamentals.. with PAT of less than 400M for the 9months and revenue of about 1 billion if i am not mistaken. Yet e don go sidon for circa 140 naira
