Power oo!! Gina, the bone don finally go down your throat... 😂

Welldone.

On another note i remember saying TIP will touch 15 before the offer closes when it was about 10. I am sure most of the sellers are selling to enter the PO. Once the closing date pases offer will dry up. Champion should be the only laggard doing rights issue and couldnt reach the price aside UBA.

Very true. Thats why i was saying that the nigeria's top 10 for the past 10 years may likely not make it to the list again when reviewed in the next 10 years.. welldone..

Just be careful with this strategy of holding forever without regularly rebalancing your portfolio.

The Top 10 Stocks Change Over Time — A Lot

This chart compares the S&P 500’s top 10 companies from 1985 to 2025.

The names keep changing: IBM, GE, Exxon, AT&T, Walmart…

Many former giants aren’t in the top 10 today.

The lesson? Market leaders don’t stay on top forever.

I rememeber back in the days, just early after University. Nvdia was a stand out in gaming graphic card. If we buy a desktop system that had intel graphic card we will change it to nvdia for better performance. When i look back after seeing nvdia with their 5 trillion dollar value today i just shake my head.. Then i wasnt heavy on stocks after the 2008 beating. If not such were pointers for future performance of a company. The signs will always be there for a company with potential, just that the Thomas in us will always prop up. Because nothing is absolute and there are no guarantees in life.

In the next 5 to 10 years, new names will be on the list. Is there possibility of having this same names come up again, very unlikely, except presco and okomu will get to 15k price.. like they say: The best predictor of future behaviour is past behaviour.. what are some of the potential names you think can make it to this in the next 5 to 10 years. Cetris paribus.

The pro rata basis is in the offer details and prospectus. So i am sure na marketing stunt him de do.

nosa2:
Then they could allocate on a pro rata basis.

This market is too cheap for me to be making plays where all the ducks do not line up. There are stocks with audited results and yields of about 10% trading at earnings multiples of less than 3. For me to ignore those and put my money elsewhere I will need that elsewhere not to have any potential red flags.

P.S I am shamelessly pumping Zenith Bank

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 12:05pm On Dec 13, 2025
I think that comment might be a matketing stinct. Would you want to subscribe for the PO and have your money returned to you after about 2 months due to not meeting your purchase. Would you want him to state that your funds will be returned to you... lol. The prospectus already states the number of units and amount required. Anything contrary will amount to a difference from what approval was gotten from both board and SEC.

nosa2:
I was listening to the Green ticker interview on TIP and the thing was getting me super excited. To be fair I looked at the company's last result and it was GOOD!!! In fact after seeing the result I called my broker that I wanted to buy the offer (I don't usually like buying public offers)

However, as I was listening to the interview the CEO now said that if there is over subscription they will adsorb all of it. At that point my excitement just died. More money is always good for a business however, they already knew how much they needed, now why would he be so excited to dilute his holdings by adsorbing more shares than necessary. Basically I still like the business, I like their expansion plans BUT I am not buying till I start to see more clarity from future results

I think it is already public. I remember reading some where that no CGT on REITs. The following days i was watching for activity there but did not see any for 2 days i put my money somewhere else. Now the money no de free again...

I wish i had some cash, i would have just jump in. When you see all stocks in a sector trading in large volumes and also having price appreciation, it means something is cooking. One may really not have the news yet, but it will later become public knowledge. Maybe, by then a lot of investors had already taking positions, grin
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 7:57pm On Dec 03, 2025
It is a huge one. But i am really hoping they do because if they do, there wont be any stopping ellah o with that kind of capital. And they be competing very well with presco and okomu. My only concern will be the outstanding shares. Well this may not matter so much if the results starts showing. They already have the publicity. Once i confirm they achieved the capital raise i will take partial long term position until the results become good then i scale up.

zendi:
Any expo on the progress of Ellah PO ?

I enquired from Google, out of curiosity as to their possibility of achieving the target amount, and was updated thro the AI as follows :

"The Ellah Lakes public offer for N235 billion is still open, as it closes on December 5, 2025, so the target amount has not yet been achieved. The offer is intended to fund the acquisition of Agro-Allied Resources & Processing Nigeria Ltd (ARPN) and has seen positive market momentum, with the company's share price climbing since the offer opened on November 10, 2025.
Target amount: N235 billion
Number of shares: 18.8 billion
Offer price: N12.50 per share
Opening date: November 10, 2025
Closing date: December 5, 2025
Purpose: To acquire Agro-Allied Resources & Processing Nigeria Ltd (ARPN) and upgrade processing facilities to accelerate growth and integrate the acquired assets..........."

Plz do you think they will be able to raise this money ?

True.. as sad as it is. That is why the government cared less about this until Trump decided to shake them up.

As sad as this sounds, the fact is that so far the insecurity is affecting only the economically irrelevant population of Nigeria and as such I don't see it having much of an impact on the earnings of companies on the NGX

You fit wait tire o. Better to be scaling up and down gradually. Na so chams do rights issue some de wait make e come down yet it did almost 100% from circa 2 to 4. Not to talk of TIP that has small outstanding shares. I see it getting to 15 before the closing date. I might be wrong though. A director bought about 60 million units at market price. Why didnt the guy go for the public offer. Just wondering..

I can bet my 2 cent that this CGT will not be implemented. There was a reason the last one was not. One, we dont have the infrastructure, two, the market is very dynamic and complex. Only the JIJO guys that swing though several stocks in a year will confuse the system.

Another example if dangote fertiliser/refinery list by say 2nd quarter next year and an investor enters into the stock by 3rd quarter and makes gain above 10m, will this be taxed too, considering the reset date of 31 Dec 2025.
This market go burst the tax guys head no worry.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 9:36pm On Nov 14, 2025
The banks do oo. The problem is with the government agencies that sit on it and dont act, except when it is in favour of their pay masters.

With the complexity if this CGT and the flip flop I see it going the way of the previous one which was not inplemented.

All these na super story for naija

In banks u see it placed on notice. That all transactions above so amount will be reported to regulatory body for money laundering. How many times have u see any bank do such thing
Infact all looting and scamming pass through banks. How many have they reported freely. U think they want to lose the customer and future money. Leave na naija nothing dey happen

Please, why are people rushing to buy the shares of NCR Plc? I see it as a Toxic company and a Time Bomb waiting to explode badly... Their Books is in a mess. 3 things to note ahead of 2026

1. The CGT, for me this is of no much concern. Sell buy another stock and resell at no or little profit. Give up 2% commission to the broker than 30% to our yawa government. Or sell in piecemeal below the threshold. Easy peasy...

2. The coup attempt🤔🤔

3. Trump speaking about Nigeria as a country of concern. Infact this is now to me the big elephant in the room. Tinubu should better strike a mineral deal with this man. I fear this man pass the first two. If you understand psychology and the man's temperament and erratic nature you will know why.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 8:14pm On Oct 31, 2025
True market cannot be timed. But certainly october cant possibly be better than Nov/dec if you observe the market, even with some good results yet price de drop. Meanwhile if you pick good stocks, by january when investors will be coming back in order to enter with the CGT they will be buying from you. I have like 3 stocks i was eyeing which didnt enter my radar in october but are gradually getting close to my range. Na to de pick am 50k, 100k naira de go small small.

kintus:
You'll be shocked to see that the best time to pick was in October......can anyone TIME the market?
