Would Dangote's pms be affordable?

Aside that, the policy somersaults of BAT and the apc does not help matters.

1. A major refinery is coming on line soon, but you mortgage your crude oil into the future making the coming refinery dependent on importing crude oil.

2. You preach how Dangote's refinery would solve our pms problems, but you develop a policy that rapidly promotes the use of CNG thereby nullifying what you promoted.

3. Because of the mortgaging of crude oil, you know dangote would have to source crude from outside Nigeria, but you now devalue or float your currency which makes it more expense for dangote to get his crude, invariably meaning the cost would be higher for Nigerians...

Again, I wonder who advises bat and more importantly, I wonder how apc's praise singers reason or think. They see obviously poor policies and steps of government, but still blindly praise them and insult others who say the truth.

Let me school you. The author is 100 percent right. NNPC currently owes international oil suppliers over USD 6 billion. The corporation also owes Afreximbank at least USD 500 million. These loans are usually services by what is called crude oil swap, which is an exchange of crude oil for loans. The existing agreement indicates Nigeria is unlikely to make any substantial gain from future crude oil sales. When people argue about the country's current economic condition and conclude that violent protests or Tinubu are the cause of the persistent economic challenges, it only exposes the fragility of their ratiocination.

A large amount of our crude had already been contracted/sold long ago, long before Dangote refinery was completed. We can't afford to default the contractual aggrements with our foreign clients. Supply of crude would have to be resolved on a negotiation table with lots of concessions involved.
