PoliticsRe: Bauchi State Governor To Replace Charles Soludo As CBN Governor by Strength10: 5:52pm On Mar 28, 2009
Tribalism is the reason why Nigeria is still a century behind its counterparts. Why would you replace a man who has done so much to make nigeria banking system the envy of africa and the world. Last year, the American government asked the nigerian government why nigeria is not developing as fast as it should because they have 3 out of the 50 best economist in the world(Soludo, the former finance minister-Iweala and other lady) and Soludo said it was because we are being ruLed by bunch of fouls. He was made to apologise and aLmost lost his job. In retrospect, he is correct because we are being ruled by fouls who put tribaistic sentiment over the country. NigeriaS economy did not melt down in this global crises because of Soludo's policies and the US AND Other world leaders have been trying to understand why and how he did it. That we have inflation now is way better what the mess in US and UK economy now
Nigeria does not honor intelligence and success and that is why we are where we are. If Soludo is fired, bad for Nigeria but good for him because the US and other world Authorities wil pick him up immediately because they know and understand his worth and value just like world bank picked up the former Finance Mnister after she was fired by obasanjo.
If tribal bigotry does not stop in Nigeria, we are doomed for years to come because it will only blind us to the truth and reality.

To Lamidi,

You're real fool and dirty just like your people and thats why you think power is better.  We don't need power to succeed because our people have real men and real spirit. You've had power since 1970 but una people are the poorest, most illetrate, stinky, backward jihad ridden son of-a-bitch. You should be ashamed of your people or even be called your people. Igbos though all the draconian policies against them are stiill the richest and most educated in the whole of west africa. they even run the major businesses in the north and own >80% of the land in Abujah. Your peope are useless pest and parasites that have no single contribution to the economy. What a waste of man kind and brain power. Anytime you see an Igbo man, you should bow down and worship him like mohammed and Allah because without them and perhaps other nigerians, all of you are gonna be stinking dead cops. Anuofia,

I think the booting and looting maybe minimal  this time because these leaders are now smart and can learn from the mistakes made in Niger Delta. If they make the same mistake, they are selling their lives because Igbos do not take concessions and will not allow elite losers trample on them. It will be all out war, so i hope the governmors of those states invest wisely for the interest of their people and nigerians as a whole
PoliticsRe: Again Addax Oil Discovers Crude In Imo State, This Time In Oru East by Strength10: 10:38pm On Mar 23, 2009
Igboland has always had plenty of oil for a long time especially Anambra, imo and Abia. The problems they have had is lack of exploration and diversion of resources and technology to other areas by the Northern military government to avoid enriching igbos too much as they feared too much riches will lead to another Biafra, uprising or somethin. Also, my granfather told me that the igwes were also concerned about environmental degradation and destruction by both the federal government and oil companies. Now is probably the best time to explore because we now atleast have a little more independent minded governors with more credibiity than ever before. This will also generate needed injuries in the southeast i guess. When the onitsha port which is now being revitalized after years of negect starts functioning again, it shoud make trade even easier for everyone.
This is good news for the Southeast and All nigerians as riches generated in one section of the country eventully trickles to other parts.

Isnt Mike Okiro from Imo state?

born in Oguta and also from the border area between Rivers and Imo? huh

Mike Okiro is igbo but that does not mean that the people of the current day Southeast does not deserve to produce the IGP just like other regions have. It is a question of equity. If the people of the southeast are treated this way in appointments and things we all can obviously see and recognize, i wonder how they are treated in those that are not covered by the Media. You go figure.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Males Outnumber Females, Says Fg by Strength10: 6:26pm On Mar 22, 2009
The last census was just a political ploy by OBJ and his Aboki counterparts to minimize the growing strength and influnece of a peope- the IGBOS, How will you not include tribe and religion in a census?? It does not make sense. They counted only the regions so they can reduce federal allocations to the southeast. They undercounted so many areas to reflect small numbers. Example, they said that Umuahia or some village in abia had 300thousand people but the house hold houses in that city was 220 thousand. How could those numbers agree? There was no census in Nigeria. Igbos live in huge numbers in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Calabar ,Rivers etc so not counting thems is gross understestimation. Igbos are have the highest population in nigeria or maybe a very close second but nobody wants to reflex that because they are scared of something. Southeast has the highest population density in all of Africa based on Google Maps estimate and other international and independent estimate, but that was not reflected in the census and that is why world leaders still do not believe those numbers, It is a big Shame,
PoliticsRe: I'll Always Like To Be Nigerian -ojukwu by Strength10: 6:08pm On Mar 22, 2009
Ojukwu maybe a joke to Ordinary Nigerians, but he represents the will and strength of an Extra ordinary people called the IGBOS. If you are  smart enough, you wiill ask yourself why igbos still feel dissatisfied with nigeria, why the Niger Delta is agitated with nigeria and are willing to fight for what belongs to them. It is a question of equity for all and Marginaliztion. If people in Niger Delta had their place which actually supplies the bulk of nigerian weath developed, if they feel a sense of belonging to the coutry they feed, do you think they will be agitating and making moves to even leave nigeria?? The same goes for Igbos. If Igbo land was developed after the war as Gowon promised but grossy failed to deliver, if political appointments were made equally, if the federal roads and infrastructure in igbland were developed, do you think igbos will allow groups like MASSOB to emerge.??It is because Nigerian leaders have no brains to understand what stems up things like these. Fortunately for the igbos, upon all the odds against them and everything being done to them to pull them back, it  has not prevented them from individually building themselves up.
TO rule a complex country liKe nigeria, we need a leader  that cares for all the people equally and will put the general development of the country first INSTEAD OF  dancing to the tune of tribal bigotry. FYI, IGBOS are the most de-triblized people you can ever meet or deal with.

PoliticsRe: Is The Nigerian Polity Afraid Of The South East? by Strength10: 5:53pm On Mar 22, 2009
OFCOURSE they are. But the question is whyhuh? We are trying to build a unified nigeria but some people are still scared of others and not trusting them. Now how will that bring a unified country. People are scared of you when they know you have something better to offer than they have. Maybe the nigerian police is still inefficient and behind both in technology and integrity because they have not had anybody from the southeast lead them. If everybody else has tried and failed, then it says something.
Igbos do not dominate things because they thirst for power or because they like to but because they are good at whatever they do, very competent, vision ad goal oriented and ready for changes. Unfortunately, morons in nigeria have not realized that yet and that is why they keep on doing what they do. Professionals around the world have realized the spirit and will of the Igboman and that is why you see igbos in all facets of the world economy and organizations. Okiro is IGbo and should be given chance, but when you make appointments only based on a region, that says a lot.
JUST FYI, about 80% not 73% of land allocation in abujah belongs to igbos and this is from a credible source. It is not because they want to dominate but because they love to invest. In 1976, when abujah was created, most of it belonged to the northeners because at the time, igbos were the poorest group of people in nigeria because of the war. Today, it is a different story not because they had a savior president who rescued them or somebody who actually cared, but because they all worked really hard to get where they are now. The same goes for PH, Lagos and Calabar.
PoliticsRe: I'll Always Like To Be Nigerian -ojukwu by Strength10: 5:35pm On Mar 22, 2009
All of you making these comment about Ojukwu are idiotic and tribalistic lunes. MOTHER FUCKERS. You have listen to Ojukwu  before judging him. That guy is 20times smarter than Sick Yaradua and Ugly Obj put together. His brain power is unmatchable with any person that ever ruled nigeria. You just have to watch obj in his BBC interview to appreicate how Dumb he is. I believe in One Nigeria an i am IGBO. Ojukwu leading the Biafran seccession at the time may have been justified because of massacre of Igbos in the North by illetrate animals but in my opinion, there could have been better ways to have sustainabe peace in Nigeria without a Bloody War. But in Retrospect looking at how  far we have come,  and all the tribalistic crap and lack of developmet of nigeria that still persist, the billions looted, an outside observer and even the British probabaly regret their action for supporting nigeria at the time because all these people from the north still remain pests and parasite to the nation with no single contributionto the country both in brian power and economy development.
Yaradua has to step up and if he cannot lead the nation, he shoud quit. You cannot paralize millions of people because you are sick and incompetent. He should have put his nation first knowing that his health and other things wil not allow him to become an effective leader. It goes to show how selfish some nigerians are and the extent they can go for power even at the detriment of ordinary Nigerians.
Let  us wake up and  build the nigeria of the 21ST century, devoid of morons that come to bash people who actually recognise that nigeria is currently dysfuntional and being led by a sick and tribalistic block head who have not made any positive impact on the people since he took office.
I believe in Nigeria and i believe we can do better if we have good leaders, Great Nationalist and people with clear vision and goal for the country.

chris okotie??

the only kind of change we need know is to change our mentality and ideologies of life.
Hey Mister, don't turn this into a tribal bashing thread. All the people you have called names already are from the same tribe(Ndigbo). Soludo has done so much to help nigerias economy. The only thing obstructing him is Nigeria itself. When he proposes policies that will help the nation, illiterate sycophants surrounding Yaradua will always find something to say-IF don't blame him for not taking permission from them, they will cook up a lie to blackmail him just as they are doing so they can take his job now and run the country back again to the 20th century. Nigeria should wake up.  How could a mentally normal president give a person like Akunyili her current position looking at the great things she did in NAFDAC? iT JUST shows the brains of people ruling our country. With her kind of spirit and hardwork, i personally think she can do way better than Sick Yaradua and old illeterate military Obj.
LiteratureWhy Has Chinue Achebe Not Won The Nobel Prize In Literature? by Strength10(op): 5:37am On Mar 19, 2009
Why has Chinue Achebe not won the Nobel Prize in literature.?? This is very interesing and disturbing because his works are read around the world, used in major universities as required textbooks especially in US and UK, and his books has made great impact into understanding African culture as a whole and used in African American Universities in Education Blacks on their Heritage. He Deserves it and they should be a movement for this. Nigeria can boast of 2 Nobel lauretes in Literature because they both (Soyinka and Achebe) Deserve it more than anybody.
PoliticsRe: Vc Laments Ndigbo Apathy To Education by Strength10: 5:15am On Mar 19, 2009
It is Unfortunate that the southeast does not have enough private universities. And Unfortunately, because of marginalization by the federal governement and lack of proper funding of the states in the southeast, they do not have a lot of federal presence in terms of Universities. That is the reason why Igbo kids are seen in almost all the Major Univeristies outside the southeast in Huge Numbers(University of Abujah, Uni of Lagos, Uni Jos, University of Ibadan, ABU etc) and Around the world( Havard, Oxford, Yale, DUKE, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell etc). I guess private individuals should step up in this area a little more but the government should also allocate more federal universities in the southeast to come to par with other Regions. Luckily, this has not affected the education of igbos as they are still the most educated both in Nigeria and those in Diaspora. Blame can go around but the Igbos should take more responsibility when it comes to private Universities in The Region.

You've resort to word play? But if I join you in your hate mongering and destructive falsehood, you'll praise me right? If I said I know Fashola had a meeting with Yoruba leaders to chase all Igbos away from Lagos, You'll praise me right? Any Aromire's child must not hate at all. It's not how I was brought up. Thanks by the way. I'll rather be an slowpoke than be like you hate mongering folks on here.

Well, unfortunately for you, Fashola and Yorubas cannot chase Igbos out of Lagos because of their Size(>5million in Lagos) and the Strength of the Igbo Man. You shoud never forget that whenever Igbo's Unite, no force can stop them. They will annihilate anything in their path. Lagos is not owned by any tribe. It used to be the nations capital before the war and it remains a cosmopolitan city where anyone can live in without claim of Heritage.
This is no time to be tribalisitic. This is time to Unite the country, address grieviances of people in the nation, and move the nation forward in the twenty first century.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Worth Dying For? by Strength10: 1:53am On Mar 19, 2009
I may die for Peace, Justice, Equity, Love and Unity but never the word Nigeria: the one that destroys its people, Marginalizes, mistreats oil producing tribes like ijaw, ogoni, itse etc, Makes political appointments based on tribes not merit and qualifications, tries to do everything with its power to keep a specific tribe from propering(To their chagrin, they've failed on this one), condones ethnic violence without bringing cuplrits to justice just because of religious affiliation, sponsors assasinations and kidnapping of innocent citizens, has bunch of illetrates and unqualified lazy religious bigots running the nation and still cannot provide electricity, basic needs and security for its masses after years of earning Billions from oil money. Any time Nigeria reverses on these, then i can die for them in honor knowing that i am a Proud, true and pure Nigerian. In the mean time, lets work on fixing the gianomous problems facing the nation instead of trying to be Heroes for a Nation that have not Earned it.

Why did'nt the government inform those individual ahead of time before destroying what most of them worked thier entire life to acquire?
Why is it that >95% of what has been demolished belongs to the hardworking Igbo Business man?
Why has Fashola not addressed the concerns and protest of those traders? Because he was apparently behind it and has turned blind eye to the atrocities of his officials
Why did he not provide other markets or structures for those traders to relocate to in advance?
In developed countries, if governments plan to demolish things, they provide resources including land and money for those investors affected so it does not affect the economy as a whole. From all this, it is apparent that gov Fashola is not educated enough to know that those traders lives he destroyed will  in one way or the other affect the economy and lives of other lagos citizens.
This is not Tribalismhuh? Let us be truthful, if all those traders (95%) of them were Yoruba families, will Fashola government destroy thier lives and property without a contigency plan on how to restore their business and livelihood?? You have the answer already in your head.

If he truly wants to be seen as the government of the people, he should provide those individuals the resources to enable them get back on their feet so they can move on and rebuild thier lives,

Read this article And you will be disgusted with Lagos and Nigeria Government;

http://odili.net/news/source/2009/mar/18/304.html

The Igboman is always the Victim anywhere he is. Igbos are smart, intelligent, very educated, hardworking, ambitious, kind, De-tribalized, rich, and creative. These qualities of his ARR what fuels jealousy, violence and tribalistic policies against him outside Igboland. The current demolition initiative by the Lagos govt has only targeted one group of people-Igbo business man. Why? Why can’t the Lagos govt and their illiterate landlords give these men including other non Igbo people notices before destroying their hard earned money and property? Anytime people see Igbo men prospering, instead of emulating their astute skills and critical thinking ability, they rather want to destroy and revenge for no clear reason. I urge all the Igbo’s in Lagos to stand up for their brothers and protest these atrocities propagated by the Lagos government against Igbo’s in the name of Making Lagos a Mega City. There are ways to make a city great other than destroying things and people that add to its greatness. There are over 5million Igbo’s living in Lagos and they should fuse their resources to fight these idiots and government controlled sycophants whose aim is to slow and destroy their fellow Nigerian citizens. I believe in one united Nigeria that is devoid of Hate, tribaistic policies, marginalization and unnecessary persecution of its citizens whether igbo or any other tribe.
My Igbo people, the Igbo Nation is more united than ever and we should come together fight against injustice like this whenever things like this transpire in Nigeria.
