okunlove:Heyllo ma'am, first of all, what are you trying to produce? Please, kindly allow your caustic soda to be completely dissolved before mixing it with other chemicals. On the other hand, your caustic soda isn't a hard thing to dissolve, once you are using the required quantity of water. Maybe your answer to the above question can let me know what more to tell you. Thanks. |
Happy Sunday and a new month to everyone. Wishing us a blessed Month. All mails have been replied please, kindly check your inbox. Thanks. |
crossblane1:Heyllo Sir, Any material that can't rust can be used as moulds. I really can't say where precisely you can get the local stamp over there in Benin because I'm not used to that place. Lastly, yes it's if you have all the technical know how. Thanks. |

chifruitful:Wonderful contribution ma'am. I really do appreciate your effort. Please, keep it up. Thanks. |
feeekey:Heyllo ma'am, just like madam Chifruitful has said, she made a very good point but let me just add this. I think I already explained some important term here during our discussion on the production of bar soap. Curing: if your soap hasn't cured completely, that could be one of the reasons for the harshness. The truth is that, caustic soda doesn't really remain or exist as caustic soda in soap after curing takes place. So, I advise you check our lesson on bar soap again. Though we didn't go so deep in our lesson on bar soap here but it's a nice formula for beginners. You may try my ebook for more. Thanks. |
Juliana7:You are welcome ma. Email replied. |
Juliana7:You welcome ma. Email replied. |
Babacele:Done Sir. |
Babacele:Awwww! Thanks a lot sire and amen to your prayers. Yes, my ebook still goes for 1,500 naira. |
Hope you all had a great day. Much love from Strongbest. Thanks.

Seriously Sir, I'm sorry for any misunderstanding. I think I get your point now. Thanks. |
Juliana7:Email replied ma'am. |
Strongbest:While I try to upload some pictures on the packing of scouring powder, I would like to know our interest. If it's not important, I won't waste my time on that. |
Juliana7:Heyllo ma'am, my sincere apology for not getting a response from me . Please, kindly re-send your email to the P......wealth@mail.com. I will address it right away. Sorry for any inconvenience. I bet if you see my inbox right now, you'll pity me. Lols. |
haconni:Oga Sir, I only said 12-16k, I wasn't specific. I don't know how to exaggerate just because I want to arouse someone's interest. Please, before you jump into conclusion try and verify things first. I'm not into that brand of soap, I do more of customised bar soap which is usually on demand/request. Get this and do the calculation your self sir. A litre of PKO goes for 200 naira(two hundred naira), 1 litre of PKO should give you like 10 bar of soap (that size) 1 kg Caustic soda goes for N180 (one hundred and eighty naira) and may not need up to 3 kg for the entire production Same with Soda ash, which are your basic materials. The other ingredients (chemicals) are enhancers and you can't exhaust 3k on them all. It's ridiculous to say this maybe the reason youths run away from skill acquisition, bar soap isn't the only thing in skill acquisition or is it? Beside, it's a very lucrative business and I know that. You don't have to go into it blindly, go and make your own research and get all the necessary knowledge. If any youth run away from skill acquisition for the fear of not making it, I will simply term it ignorance and laziness. If anybody has ever carried out any of my project here and it's not yielding I will need that person to share his or her experience and we can all address the issue properly right here. All that being said, every business requires patience to grow, it doesn't happen over night. One thing is sure, there's success for any hard working soul. It's about knowing the right thing to do. Thank you. |
haconni:You should be looking at 12k- 16k. Well, when it comes to machine- it all depends on your choice Sir. That's, locally made machine or modernised one. Everything can be done manually. All you need are big containers, stirring rod, wooden mould, and locally made stamps. |
Finally, I have dropped the special scouring powder formula for us on our free training thread. Here: www.nairaland.com/1798724/ Please check it out. In my next post I shall talk about the cost of materials and packaging. That should be enough to help us start up. Stay cool till then. |
Mind you, the above gives you a very strong scouring powder. The product will clean your tiles, toilet bowls, sinks, back of pot properly and leave surfaces shiny. Feel free to drop your question here if any. Thanks. |
PRODUCTION OF SCOURING POWDER -Calcium ..................1/2 Kg -SLS............................3 Spoons -STPP..........................3 Spoons -Caustic Soda...............1 spoon -Soda............................1/4 kg -Bicarbonate.................1/4 kg PROCEDURES > Pour the calcium into an empty bowl > Add bicarbonate > Add soda ash > Add caustic > Add STPP > Add SLS > Add fragrance or flavour Now, stir all together and ensure they blend together very well. You have to stir vigorously. You may stir after each material added to help ease the stress of stirring all together at once . Strongbest Thanks. |
laksyde100:Lovely! This is what I'm talking about. Please let's try and contribute to help others. Mr. Laksyde, your contribution is highly appreciated Sir. Thanks. |
ops:Heyllo Op, kindly state the price of your PKO per litre please. I still buy N200 per litre here. |
PHRANTAD:I appreciate Sire! You should get at Ogunpa market. When you get there, ask around for where you can get chemicals stores there. Thanks. |

Shininstar30:Oooooopz! My sincere apology ma'am. Please, kindly request for your bonus through the email with which you received the e-book. Thanks. |
haconni:Heyllo Sir, no, I don't. I only have an ebook self explanatory enough to carry out any of the productions. You may check our free training thread for details on that. |
The above as quoted were the first recipes (1 and 2) given for the production of scouring powder. For some of us following my new thread: 'Starting A Lucrative Business In 2015,' I have promised to re-brand the recipes to give us something wonderful and more effective. Please stay tuned as we move into that soon. Thanks. |
