ghostwritter: This time last year, I was in your shoes as I attended SAED in Kubwa camp Abuja.....Honestly, I never concentrated on what the man was saying coz' I was busy surveying all sizes of boobs and nyashhs as those beautiful babes kept exposing fresh laps freely, for I was at the 'facial make-up' section of the programme (mostly attended by ladies). I was fortunate to get a job immediately after service last month as an administrator. SAED is good but CONNECTION is far better. SAED without a starting capital for business is BULLSHIIT.....I repeat....BULLSHIIT!! #teambatchCabuja. I'm happy for you that you got a job immediately after service...don't forget not every one has the so called connection. Everybody thinks you need so much money to start up but it's not so true. With as little as 3,000 naira or even less you can start the production of any of those products. Rome wasn't built in a day. You've got to start somewhere. |

Cool: Well, I haven't used any of Strongbest's products but I made liquid soap myself using the method he taught on the thread shown below. https://www.nairaland.com/1798724/free-skill-acquisition-e-center
The liquid soap that resulted was mild and pleasant in its feel. As a long-term user of Morning Fresh and Mama Gold, I'm pleased to note that I preferred the feel of the soap that resulted from the use of Strongbest's method. It also does not dry out my skin like most other soaps and detergents.
So, my inference would be that provided Strongbest does not commercialise his liquid soap by cutting corners in production, his soap would stand at least shoulder-to-shoulder with better known brands (or even tower above the others - going by my experience).
Btw Strongbest, thanks for the thread referred to above! I didn't post a feedback so, I seized this opportunity. Keep up the good work.
Regards,
Cool Awwww! Thanks a lot for your comment Sir. The fact is that, I never wanted to mention or make reference to any of the thread so they won't feel I have any string attached. Thanks once again. |

MadCow1: Lol..
I have had experience with all these products.. Your Air Freshners, liquid detergents and what have you..
My parents bought them and I have seen them used in my office until it was banned because of the damage it was causing.
Those products require a whole lot more tweaking. That after smell and the way tiles and shiny surfaces lose their lustre over prolonged exposure to these products are things that give concerns. Well, I'm not disputing the fact that you've had terrible experience with those local products but I'm only trying to let you understand ours aint local. Definitely, your experience is not with our products. |
NYSC › Re: SAED (NYSC Skill Training) In Osun State Is The Best (Pictures) by Strongbest(op): 12:11pm On Nov 24, 2014 |
MadCow1: Basic Morning fresh comes to mind..
Pouring both of them into a container and just looking at them you can almost see the difference in quality.. The Fragrance used is also better in quality than what these local people used and above all it does not leave that Nasty after-smell that is so repulsive.
The Air freshners are so strong they are actually pungent. And they also have that nasty after smell..
Those detergents actually corrode tiles. Especially lower quality tiles. O well, thank God you said the one produced by local people. We aint local Sire! As a cosmetologist, we study every chemical used, we don't just add or mix chemicals together to get a product. I bet if you use any of my products you'll keep coming for more. |

Well, I just returned from Osun State orientation camp (Ede) after the training and the corp members are leaving the camp today back to their various PPA. |

MadCow1: So na you dey train people on how to make those Poisonous substances..
Mbok I no dey patronise these cheap ass things.. They destroy your properties faster than you know. Tiles lose their shine over time, the after smell from those air-freshners are worse than Pollute.. Its like Izal vs Dettol.. I go for Dettol. The brand name hand washes and fragrances are milder than these so called-locally manufactured things.
Those are the detergents they use in Government hospitals, Airports and co that make them smell so abominably.
#TeamMorningFresh/Harpic&|Glade. Laughs! Then you don't know what you are missing. So you think those ones you buy from the supermarket are better off huh? Let me tell you, our products are so less toxic and free from harmful chemicals. Tell me one product out there that you feel is better than ours and I will open your eyes to some hidden secrets. A lot of people are yet to understand the importance of what we are preaching. |

simplemach: But come to think of it o, nobody talks about job creation anymore. Yes we know its good, sometimes best to be self employed. But then this eneterprenureship stuff is almost taking the day when we know that there are supposed to be creation of jobs and then we are also encouraged to be enterprenures just incase we dont lay our hands on such jobs. My brother, a bird at hand they say is worth more than a thousand in the air (bush). This doesn't necessarily stop anyone from looking beyond but while waiting for that white collar job it's good to have something doing in the interim, sometimes this even grows beyond your imagination or expectation, I'm a living witness to that. And of course, there are general lectures on how to apply for a job and how to write a good CV, that goes to show that it's not just limited to being self employed alone. |

You may increase the SLS to 3 spoons next time and the texapon to 2 spoons(very full). The other ingredients seem to be very okay but the sodium benzoate, why? Sodium benzoate is a preservative best used in preservation of food, some other products like toothpaste etc, but in liquid soap, it doesn't really go down too well for me. You may use formalin as preservative next time. All the same, if benzoate does it for you then, it's okay. For the ph of soap, you test for caustic soda which is usually 14 and above, so when you have something like 7-11 it is very okay. Thanks. |

These are just few pictures from the area I handle (cosmetology), more from other areas to come later.
The trainees were able to come out with those products after a thorough training which was less than a week.
The Osun State SAED under the leadership of Mrs. Ahile should really be appreciated for their openness to new ideas and creativity.
Chill for more pix from other areas later. |

I have actually been working with some NGOs and schools in the area of skill acquisition(entrepreneurship) for quite a while now and also have the privilege of partnering with NYSC SAED Department in many states but there's something so different about Osun State SAED department and I thought I should share this with us.
Okay, for the sake of those that don't know what SAED is, SAED means skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development. It was introduced into the NYSC scheme in 2012. The program was said to have been introduced in request to the transformation agenda of the federal Government which lays emphasis on entrepreneurship and self re-liance especially among the youths.
Every corp member is expected to participate in this program while in camp (in-camp training) and after the camp (post camp training). The area of training (skills) to be explored by corp members include the following:
- Cosmetology
- Food processing and preservation
- Agro Allied
- Culture and tourism
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Construction
- Power and Energy
- Film/Photography
- Environment
- Horticulture and Landscaping
- Education and
- Automobile
I'm going to try and upload as many pictures as possible from the exhibition held on Friday (Batch B, stream 2).
Do you think any state does it better? Let's hear your opinion with evidence. |

jendor123: sir, d first one use like 2 wks plus. But some one told me, it should be done max 2 day. Or do i need to ferment my soda ash and caustic soda. Heyllo Sir, I said something concerning curing of soap before, curing can't take place in two days, not possible with cold method process, not at all! Well, you could ask the person that told you two days to give you his formula, hmmm maybe he knows something I don't know.... I would want to say more on this but not tonight, maybe another day. Meanwhile, kindly follow my formula and add a little bees wax as I have suggested earlier. Once again, bar soap cold process takes between 3-6 weeks for a complete curing. Thanks. |

jendor123: I check this room for info atleast 2 times a day for update. Sir, dis is d second time I will be making laudry soap, but my product is not as strong as expected. pls sir, what is d cause or hw can i improve on dis Heyllo Sir, if you are using PKO and following my formula, you should have a hard soap after curing. May I ask, how long have you left the soap before determining the hardness and how hard exactly do you want it to be? Well, irrespective of the above questions, it seems you really want a soap as hard as rock, lols. Solution: Kindly add a little beeswax in your next production. Thanks. |
