Music/Radio / How To Blow As An Upcoming Artist In Nigeria Music Industry by Studiojimmy(m): 2:02pm On Jun 27, 2021
Numerous talents in Nigeria and everyone wants that spotlight. Music is not excluded; every upcoming artist wants that fame and money those successful artists have. In this article you will find out how to make this happen.

Welcome to the No. Music Hub in Africa. Here in StuDio JimmY Music Group, we provide valid information and affordable services to upcoming artist. We share in their dreams and be part of their journey to greatness. If you’re an upcoming artist and you’re serious about your career then you are in the right place.
HOW TO BLOW IN NIGERIA AS AN UPCOMING ARTIST
1. BRANDING
BRANDING is simply how you present yourself to your fans. How do they see you? An afro beat singer or a rapper? A cool guy or a bad guy? That’s what branding does for you. Zlatan started with slang like “kapaichumarimarichupako” and “ayi” today everyone knows him with that. Slimcase also started with saying meaningless things and people accepted him for that. Just think about a spectacular thing people should know you for. Brand is an essential thing in music, many artists don’t realize this on time thereby wasting lots of money releasing music no one will listen to. The first thing anyone should do as an artist is to brand him/herself. Why do you like Johny Drille? If you ask me, I’ll say – because he always sings melodious love songs, leaves his hair somehow shabby and dress nice; well, that’s his brand. Again, why do you like Naira Marley? I’ll say – its because he presents himself as a rascal guy who believes in saying the truth no matter how raw it is without covering anything; that’s his brand. Branding determines how successful you are going to be and how long you’re going to stay relevant. Branding determines how you dress, speak, your lyrics, your image basically everything about you as an artist. So, if you want to blow in Nigeria music industry, the first thing you should do is to brand yourself. We’ve got different suggestions of brands that fits lots of people no matter the kind of music you do, if you want people to take you serious as an artist then hit us up to get started with your branding as an artist today.

2. QUALITY SONGS (Good Music Production & Mix and Mastering)
A good studio production is also a criterion for people to like your music. You need to make your songs sound professional no matter what it takes. Good lyrics with sense and good production is vital in the early stage of every artist. We can produce your songs for you at an affordable cost or even teach you how to produce for yourself with just your laptop.

Music/Radio / Biography Of Olamide Baddo (3 Shocking Things You Don't Know About Him) Read Mo by Studiojimmy(m): 1:39am On Jun 09, 2021
Hello friends, what’s good today? Hope your day was good? Well, mine was normal; I went out with my uncle to a few places in the city center of FCT. Am back and am just trying to write about the biography of Olamide baddo and a few things I think y ’all should learn from him and his brand as an artist.

Olamide is an amazing hard-working artist in Nigeria, no one living in Nigeria doesn’t know about this baddo and am pretty much sure he’s well known in some important places outside Nigeria too.

Olamide Gbenga Adedeji was born on the 15th of march, 1989 into the family of Pa Adedeji and his second wife Ronke Adedeji in Bariga, Lagos state, Nigeria. He is the second of three children that his mother bears for Pa Adedeji; TemmyGold and Eniola Olamilekan (DJ Enimoney) are his siblings. He is a Nigerian Afrobeat &Hip Hop artist, songwriter. He owns one of the most popular record labels in Nigeria YBNL which himself and Fireboy DML are signed into. The record label boasts of producing many popular music stars in Nigeria like “Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Lyta, Picazzo, Yomi Blaze, Davolee, Chinko Ekun etc. although some of these artists left the label with one issue or the other though very similar.

Olamide started his career when he released the debut single, “Eni Duro,” in 2010. In the same year, he performed at The Hip Hop World Awards. He studied mass communication at Tai Solarin University but dropped out due to financial problems. Adedeji is married to Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman. They have two boys together, Maximilian Boluwatife and Tunrepin Myles. I also learnt that Olamide allagedly has a child with one Maria Okarende who was working with Beat F.M.

CAREER

Olamide was signed to Coded Tunes in 2010, a record label owned by ID Cabasa. He dropped an album “Rapsodi” in 2011 under the label.

In November 2012, Olamide released his second studio album which he titled “YBNL” (Yahoo boy no laptop). The album has guest appearances from Tiwasavage, Reminisce, Davido, Dammy Krane, Kayswitch, Samklef and produced by Tyrone, Pheelz, Samklef, 2 Chris and ID Cabasa. The album contains hit songs like “I lefo Illuminati, first of all, Stupid love and Voice of the street”.

On the 7th of November 2013, Olamide released his third studio album “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” under his label imprint “YBNL NATION”. The album was produced solely be Pheelz Mr Producer. Baddest Guy Ever Liveth won Best rap album of the year at the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards. It also won Best rap album and Album of the year at the Headies 2014.

Music/Radio / How To Find The Key And BPM Of A Song (2 Working Ways 2021) - Studio Jimmy Music by Studiojimmy(m): 12:13pm On Jun 07, 2021
Hello Nairalanders, welcome to the No 1. Entertainment Brand in Nigeria and Africa. Here on StuDio JimmY Music, we strive to provide valid information for upcoming artists seeking for limelight, be a part of their journey, inspire them, teach them and learn from them. Today in this post, I’ll be talking about how to find the key and bpm of any song.

You might want to ask “what is key and bpm? And why do I need to find the key and bpm of a song?” Music producers need information like the Key and Bpm of a song to be able to remake the beat for covers. In case you want to record a cover of any song, the producer needs the key when he is mixing and even when making the chords of the song, and the tempo or rather bpm when he is making the beat for the cover song. If you are here on this page “how to find the key and bpm of a song” from a google search then I guess you are a music producer or audio engineer. I remember last year, when I started learning how to mix and master song with my DAW – FL STUDIO, I didn’t know what a key and bpm was, I was like what the hell is KEY again? And I must say the thing really frustrated me because without the key of the song, your voice can never sync with the beat; it will sound off key.

The bpm determines how fast or slow the beat is going to be. “BPM means beat per minute” its also referred to as tempo. A tempo or bpm of 130 is usually going to be a fast dancehall beat except if it’s a hip hop beat. Afrobeats are generally made on a tempo of about 95 – 110 or 110 – 115 for Zanku Afrobeats. As an artist, I enjoy singing on a tempo of about 100 – 105 or 108 and 110 too but anything faster than this is not me. But I can also go for R&B vibes of 90 – 100bpm too.

Without wasting much of your time lets have it. HOW TO FIND THE KEY AND BPM OF A SONG

There are various technologies one can use to get the Key and Bpm of a song, though it will not be accurate always but it’ll surely be closer to the value.

There are two sure ways I always use to find the key and bpm of any song at all. Last year when I started learning music production and mix and mastering all by myself, they were many things that pulled me down seeing that what am achieving is far below par for music production. My beats were whack, I didn’t know how to play any instrument or anything, I just wanted to be an artist but then I couldn’t afford studio sessions so I have to learn music production so I can be able to record myself with my phone and do I little mixing with my laptop and that’s how it all started for me. Now look at me, writing about music production and stuffs. I’ve learnt a lot in these past few months that am willing to share with y’all OLYMPIANS on this blog, do subscribe to our newsletter with just your email address so we can notify you of new posts on this website. If you really want to learn, there is a lot you can learn from me but its not all free though. You should definitely chat me up on WhatsApp https:///message/MPM6DMSIMWZ5G1 and i'll see what i can do to help you.
OKOATA:
I am using MacBook pro 8gig ram, 32keys keyboard, a condenser mike, inside the mike is the filter, Mike etc. A Beringer audio interface, studio monitor and headphone. Do you think I still need to get other things. I am producing myself not opening a studio, just want to make it myself and enjoy my own music. I intend to go into the music industry later this year but I want to learn the basics firstly and not rushing myself. I haven't really recorded or set it up yet, I am still using the system and headphone to create beats for now. So I haven't really recorded but I do make some music myself by playing a beat on an mp3 Bluetooth speaker and I put on recording app on my phone so both goes into the recording on the phone. I have made about 50 songs with that. Singing is very easy for me to be honest, if I listen to any beat the flow will just come. Not hyping myself but that's the truth bro.
Music/Radio / Re: The Only Way To Remove Background Noise From Vocals In Fl Studio by Studiojimmy(m): 11:44am On Jun 07, 2021
No need for that for now, i think you should start first and see how it goes. You can remove the white noise with Izotope RX7 though you have to be careful so that you dont over do it and make the vocal sound unnatural.
OKOATA:
Thats my equipments I got for now. I haven't really started recording via vocals because I still need to learn making beats firstly. I don't have a vocal booth cos someone said it's not needed because he said the condenser microphone I got is ok. Do you think I need the vocal booth? I can't pad the room am staying now cos I am not at ma place. Do I need the booth or the condenser mike is enough to give me a good sound even though I remove the white noise?

I'll try and make a post about this topic on my blog real soon. For now chat me up on WhatsApp let me send you links to some videos that might teach you a bit of this melodies.
OKOATA:
Midi files, I do see them inside FL studio but don't really know how to use them, I watched a video on YouTube how to use your vocals to make melodies but haven't tried it. You will need to sing into Edison and one other plugin and export it to your piano roll but you know music isn't all about one sound, you need at least 5 Melody sounds to make your music, from the intro to the chorus, I don't want to use loops although might be necessary but just want to learn beat and Melodyproduction myself. Making beat might be a beat easy for using melodys etc. I stay in between Ikorodu but not around at the moment.
Music/Radio / Re: The Only Way To Remove Background Noise From Vocals In Fl Studio by Studiojimmy(m): 10:56am On Jun 07, 2021
OKOATA:
Nice one bro, do you also produce beats, Melody's etc. I just got all my studio equipments but it's a bit tough creating Melody's etc, I just use my intuition sometimes but I just download Beats online and sing to it. If you have a blog that explains it all I will be glad.

Yes i create beats too, i do literally everything concerning music and the music business. You can check out my blog at https://studiojimmymusic.com.ng though i don't have posts explaining how to create melodies for now but since you need it i'll sure create a post on that and you can also use MIDI files to create melodies though you still need to know how to do it. Where is your location?

Hello Nairalanders, What’s good? Today, I’ll be sharing with you how to remove background or white noise from a vocal recording in fl studio 20.

When I started learning the strings of music production and mixing and mastering, as an artist, I was only learning those because I needed to record myself and do my stuffs how I want it and when I want it, one of the challenges I faced then which was just early this year when I bought a condenser mic from Jumia for Five thousand naira (#5,000) was that the mic is picking a lot of background noise. This one issue really disturbed me, I had to return the mic and ask for a refund and I didn’t know I could tame it.

If you are here as a music producer or you just want to record yourself just as I wanted to then I must say you’re exactly where you are supposed to be right now.

Welcome to the No 1. Entertainment Brand in Nigeria and Africa. Here on StuDio JimmY Music, we strive to provide valid information for upcoming artists seeking for limelight, be a part of their journey, inspire them, teach them and learn from them.

No one will listen to a song that is poorly recorded, it doesn’t even sound nice in the ear. On thing you can do to remove the white noise or at least reduce it to the minimal level is what you’re going to be learning today. I remember after my experience with the mic, I listened to one of my friends who is also an artist and discovered there is actually a white noise in the recording of his song though the mixing engineer tried to remove it but it didn’t go completely, I could hear the sharp frequencies caused by what the mixing engineer did when removing the noise though a normal person wouldn’t notice it.

Removing white noise or background noise as you may call it using fl studio is something one need to be careful with in order not to spoil the whole mix, this process is very important in the mixing. If you’re ready to learn this process that you can use to get rid of this white noise in your vocal recording then come with me.

HOW TO REMOVE WHITE NOISE AND BACKGROUND NOISE FROM A VOCAL RECORDING IN FL STUDIO
1. PRE-RECORDING MEASURES:
(a) They say ‘prevention is better than cure’, one way to get rid of white noise or background noise from your vocal recording is is to never let it come in.

Gyakie ft. StuDio JimmY - Forever (Official Cover)
Hello, I'm StuDio JimmY, am a music artist, producer, screenwriter, music entrepreneur, promoter etc. I just did a cover of Gyakie's "FOREVER" and thought i should share it on my website too. I still remembered when i recorded this cover. As you must have known; i do my own stuffs by myself. I know this is somehow to talk about but we're all human right? and we all have our ups and downs right? so just take this as one of my downs LOL.

Then i was living on my own, alone, in my Uncle's house (they are now living in an Estate) - so i'm the only one there just to take care of the house and all that. My girlfriend came around and i can see in her eyes what she needs but like i said in the song "i'm not a footballer so i can't shoot the shot" and she got angry and all that... My name is Agbo James Onuh but my stage name is StuDio JimmY. I sing, I rap, I produce and I mix and master too. I base mainly on Afrobeats but sometimes I do afro pop and hip hop too. I call myself the “KING OF AFROBEATS and BENUE MUSIK MACHINE” I guess you will understand when you’re done listening to this EP.

This EP just as the name suggest talks about different shades or sides of love. Love means different things to different people in different locations so I came up with the name and decided to sing about different views and opinions of love.

This EP contains 6 tracks instead of the 4 that the name suggests. 5 original tracks and the sixth one being a cover to one popular Nigerian song and trust me all the songs are hot.
