They had two things at stake, losing direct qualification and losing a home streak. But he was very good. Credit to Okoye as well, dude is a consistent performer
Yes I have watched him before deny Ziyech and Morrocco singlehandedly that's when I learnt to respect him, Okoye is improving tho the cleansheet will improve his confidence

bias? That's the problem with folks here. When one disagrees with opinions it will be tagged bias

I am an ebuehi fan same as Aina but I still stand that I will pick the later ahead of the former especially against African teams
How you opened your eyes and watched the Nigeria-Algeria match and said that Ebuehi was bullied is nothing other than bias grin

do4luv14:
thing is that's not Aina rightful position, but Ebuehis ,

so if Ebuehi started in Lagos, its guaranteed, he will perform better than Aina
How the guy didn't add anything to attack yet still was the weak link defensively
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 7:22pm On Mar 27, 2021
That Benin keeper is one of the best keepers in Africa, what a performance!

oga for ur info I dey watch Twente games some weekends. Ebuehi is good but I will pick Aina any day any time most especially against African opposition
Well you clearly have your bias so let's agree to disagree

It would have been potent if Seniorman been de run enter midfield.

I think its Rohr's tactics he acted out IMO
I said it before this match, in a 4-4-2 he has to enter midfield because he will be one of the ball progressors but Iheanacho is not cut out for that job
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 7:14pm On Mar 27, 2021
charlesemeka85:
Rohr invited both and monitored them in close quarter during training so there is no way ebuehi will be better than awaziem and Aina but was dropped.

Dude is too light weight wise for African footie. He is skillful on the ball and moves forward smoothly but not rugged enough for African jam body football
Go and watch Nigeria- Algeria match and realize you know nothing about Ebuehi, Aina was clearly in better form coming into this match but this match has exposed him once again like all his GWG matches

4-4-2, never again ; limited Chukwueze, Onyekuru and tasked Ndidi and Aribo to being our only progressors because of one 'Seniorman'

To be honest I can't figure any wrong Aina did when he was on.

And for those hyping ebuehi to be better dude will be easily bullied when fielded against physical African teams
Ebuehi played against Benrahma and Mahrez in the same match, stop capping

Then when ebuehi comes in, Aina will be far better than him grin
Aina hasn't shown any attacking quality yet Benin still manage to attack through his side, atleast Ebuehi can assure you of one thing

the Lesotho match ought to have been played at same time with this

That will bring in urgency and strict seriousness

People saying start Ndidi and Etebo, when has a midfield of Ndidi and Etebo ever played well?

Ndidi by himself cannot prevent goals. Everyone has to be up and doing
Ndidi is a big factor whether these guys will score or not

Our formation looks overly attacking minded. We are starting with four attackers (victor, samu, nacho and oyekuru). And we are also starting with two attack minded fullback. The midfield looks thin. Heck! aribo is also attacking minded.... ndidi will have to be disciplined, sit back and shield the defence well. I expect us to score goals with this set up, but arent we being overly reckless with this set up? Well we just have to sit down and enjoy this experiment. We have already qualified for the afcon, what better time to try out this tantalising experiment? On paper we should tear benin to shreads!!
I expect the full backs to remain defensively minded especially in the first half, they can go and join the attack depending on how the game goes

Midfield is too thin, especially given Aribo likes to move up

Nigeria will chop goals for sure.

With the attack we should be able to score as well
Nigeria will chop goals with Ndidi, you be learner?

Tbh Onyekuru was a better fit in the wings than Iwobi
