ChrisKels:
HOW EBERE EZE SPARKED DISAGREEMENT BETWEEN ROHR AND NFF PRESIDENT PINNICK

The cold war between President of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) Amaju Pinnick and coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr was fueled by a disagreement over inviting QPR midfielder Ebere Eze, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Pinnick is a big fan of the 21 year old and sincerely believe he will bring the much needed creativity and flair that is missing in the Super Eagles if called up by Rohr.

Rohr on the other hand is not so keen on the QPR forward as he believes his present options in midfield are in a way suitable to the present style of play of the team although he made a u-turn and spoke via proxy to the player before the Super Eagles last round of games in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

After growing frustrated over Rohr's snubs, Eze decided to honour a call up to the England U21 ahead of Nigeria which means he will now require a clearance from FIFA before he can play for Nigeria and that infuriated Pinnick who had pushed for him to be called up earlier as it takes a whole lot to get a player cleared by FIFA after playing for England.

The NFF supremo however didn’t give up on the talent and travelled to London where he had dinner with the player, in the process revealed that Eze is still keen on representing Nigeria.
That didn’t go down well with Rohr who always want things done outside the attention of the media after the failed attempt to lure Tammy Abraham before the World Cup 2018 in Russia. Pinnick is however not on same wavelength with the German coach because he felt Rohr was too slow to act, otherwise the boy wouldn't have been capped by England to subject Nigeria to the long process of clearing a player they already had in their hands.

Furthermore speaking with Cyriel Dessers behind the coach and posting his switch of allegiance speech on the official website of the NFF somehow undermines the authority of Rohr who believes he should be the one to speak with Dessers not the President.

Pinnick’s action has placed the coach under pressure to call up the forward who has been in good form for Dutch side Heracles Almelo. Rohr is however not fully convinced that the forward is needed now in the Super Eagles.

The two issues has further dented the frosty relationship the duo have been trying to patch since the end of the World Cup 2018 in Russia where they both disagreed on the reason behind the group stage exit of the Super Eagles.

It is very clear Mikel was robbed out of being the best player and most influential star at Afcon 2013. But because we are so used to eating Nonsense served from CAF towards us anytime Nigeria is involved, some of you don't even bother to think and ask if it is right.

Same CAF that will award the best player award to a player from the winning team decided to rob Nigeria and Mikel of such honor and pride in 2013.

In 2019, please tell me how many goals and assists Bennacer had to win the Best player of the Afcon. He scored no goals... But had 3 assists... Mikel had more assists than him and in less games sef. Yet Bennacer was crowned Africa's best at that tournament not so? Why not award Mane then who scored more, assisted and even reached the final for Senegal. No sense fell on them and they picked a player from thw Winning team.

CAF has always picked a player from the winning team for player of the tournament, so it was clearly Robbery to have ignored Mikel and compensated us with Mikel in the team of the tournament and giving Moses the pepsi award.

Abeg... CAF will always be CAF. No be today the robbery start.
Why was Mahrez not picked as Afcon player of the year?

CAF will always be CAF. Metronome he was and the fact remains. I guess Sneijder too was no star in 2010 since he didn't win the world best after doing more than everyone else in football that year Winning the UCL, the Serie A, the Coppa Italia and making the World cup final. Highly influential in all of these yet they gave it to Messi.... I guess too Sneijder was no metronome that year. Players are robbed no thanks to silly politics and Afcon 2013 was no difference. But ofcos that is lost on you. Lol
Isn't it funny that instead of fact that you're now giving excuses grin

Ofcos he will have more goals naa... I already explained that earlier. He was played further forward a few times and as Wingback. Lucien Favre(Hope I got it) uses Hakimi's attacking prowess to devastating effects.

Dortmund is also a more quality team than Lille. No question.
But that is exactly what makes Osimhen so special... Having the stats he has for a team like Lille who are obviously lower in quality compared to Osimhen shows why he deserves a huge shout and he has the stats to back it all up.

Africa's Number 3 top scorer across all leagues in Europe's top 10 even outscoring Two time APOTY winner, Salah and one time winner, Mahrez.

Ligue 1 POTM for September. Already a Ligue 1 sensation... Just recently named in the top 3 Ligue 1 revelations of the season so far by Ligue 1 conforama alongside Camavinga of Rennes.

In the UCL he also shone for Lille despite the obvious gap in quality between Lille and Dortmund.

For country, Osimhen delivered. Hakimi didn't exactly excel.

Deal with it. cool
Oh now you no longer need stats you are just explaining grin

Be reminded Hakimi did not fall into the wonderful Borussia Dortmund team, he played his way into it

Good night

Hakimi had more Champions league goals from fullback than Osimhen, played all games in the Afcon, Is performing in a better team in a better league and is in the Afcon team of the year

How is that for a stat?

Reminding me of what exactly? Did Samatta finish in the top 5 of African top scorers in Top 10 Euro leagues?? Did he? You would just run your mouth without doing proper research.

Osimhen's combined goals in Belgium and France put him ahead of Salah and Mahrez in the 2019 Calendar year for Africans with most goals across the top 10 Euro leagues. So wetin even concern Samatta? Lol... Just yapping as usual without factual grounds. grin

Infact, Subzero was very funny to even mention Samatta. Such an irrelevant point really considering Samatta didn't even make Africa's top 5 scorers of the 2019 calendar year sef. Hahaha... Funny lots.
You are very funny, did you know that Pukki had more goals than Ronaldo and Messi at a stage this season? So you want to use half season achievements to judge

Hakimi as a full back has more goal contributions than Chukwueze and more champions league goals than Osimhen

Even Iheanacho has contested Golden boy awards and "performed wonderfully." grin
Even Iwobi also made Golden boy list at a time so who cares.

So why mentioning situations too wey no concern Chukwueze and Osimhen? grin Osimhen was still finding his feet career wise and Chuks was just beginning his breakout journey in mid-late 2018.

But uhmm... Are we even speaking of 2018?? Hahahahaha. Dude has ran back into 2018. We speaking 2019 man! cheesy

The point remains you cannot point out one major thing that makes Hakimi stand out over Osimhen and Chukwueze in 2019 whereas I have given you countless in favor of the Nigerians. Abeg... You are right. It is truly not a must to argue especially when you got no cogent point. Lol

Hakimi is in a CAF awards team of the tournament that also gave him an award we are currently debating and which you are struggling to give cogent points for.... Looollll... Abeeeggiiiii.... grin

You are using Bundesliga higher than Ligue 1... Is La Liga not higher than Bundesliga?

And also is Hakimi not 21? KOPA TROPHY was for U-21 (21 and below). Where was Hakimi naa?

Oga... No worry... I can see you have no cogent response to the gigantic facts I just laid out on Osimhen's and Chukwueze's year.
The Kopa trophy is for players below 21, Besides Hakimi contested for the golden boy awards in 2018 with Mbappe and performed wonderfully

It's not a must to argue

What did Hakimi win naa? When did he stand out better than Osimhen and Chuks in same year under review?

Chukwueze made the Ballon Dor's Kopa trophy top 10 U-21 in world football. Only African on that list. Won Bronze at Afcon and was the best young player in that tournament. A star also in la liga duly recognised by la liga among the best young talents in the league and La Liga is higher than Bundesliga. Fact.

Osimhen finished 2019 as Africa's Third Highest Goals banger in Europe's Top 10 leagues ahead of even Salah and Mahrez. He has taken Ligue 1 by storm and even has a Ligue 1 POTM award. He even shone brightly in the UCL just like Hakimi. He also won Bronze at the Afcon although playing just 45 mins of football.
But from January till December we saw Osimhen doing it for CHARLEROI, Lille, Nigeria and all at competitive levels. UCL... Ligue 1.... Jupiler... And Afcon Qualifiers.

So plsss do same... Point out what makes Hakimi more deserving than these two.
Why are you judging Hakimi with Chukwueze in a situation Hakimi did not compete in?

Did Hakimi compete in Kopa trophy? So how is that a yardstick, Hakimi is in the African team of the tournament where are Chukwueze and Osimhen?

Hakimi has been performing excellent in Germany, a top five league and you want to judge him alongside goals Osimhen scored in Belgium, If then Samatta should be in the conversation

Abeg grin

Same Real Madrid is also strongly linked with Osimhen according to Marca due to his UCL performances too and excellence in Ligue 1. Very strong speculations. So that point on Madrid/Hakimi holds no ground I'm afraid. grin

And Hakimi played not only as Fullback but also as Wingback/Left midfielder and even further forward as a winger. This is why he could get goals too.

Fact remains as a Striker, Osimhen delivered too and even outscored Salah and Mahrez in same calendar year finishing as Africa's number 3 top scorer in Europe's top ten leagues.
Osimhen performed well but Hakimi performed well but on a HIGHER LEVEL

So it's a no brainer, also Hakimi has been performing well for a time while Osimhen has only a good half season

Hakimi has highly performed in the German league which has sparked speculations that he would be recalled to Real Madrid and he has highly performed in the Champions league also

Being a fullback is nothing against him

Higher level. Chukwueze bested him at the Afcon. He did far better than Hakimi. Higher level.

Osimhen also bagged goals in the UCL like Hakimi. Higher level.

Osimhen also finished 2019 as Africa's Third highest Goalscorer in the European Top 10 leagues outscoring even Salah and Mahrez. Higher level.

Oga abeg... Keep to your higher level sentiments coz I just gave you solid stats that back up both players' claims to that prize. In fact, Osimhen is most deserving. No sentiments at all. But CAF must be CAF. Period.
