TheLoneCitizen: Is it just me or does Awaziem improve every team he plays for.
Boavista became a force with him in the squad. And now lowly Alanyaspor have kept a clean sheet against Gala.
I've not watched him at club level, so I can't tell. He keeps going backwards for a player who improves every team he's in |

elyte89: We av said it countless times on dis thread dt not all call ups for national teams duty is based purely on club performance/status..some re non football reasons. A case study is garba lawal..he earned call ups under all d coaches he played under simply because of his discipline on and off d pitch(early to report to camp, good squad player;utility wise, diligence etc)
Baba earn call up so tey dem put (Mr) garba lawal(during 06 tourney ) for him name This guy |

Armstrong already made a contact with Walker before the landing.
So you are totally off point if you are talking of landing. Ok whatever you say |

TheGoodJoe: Watch the video. As Armstrong was going down his feet made contact on Walker while Walker was in front of him.
Now tell me where you saw Walker kick Armstrong. Walker raised his feet to cut off and landed on Armstrong's feet , clear pen |

TheGoodJoe: Did you actually watch what you posted? At what time did Walker kick Armstrong?
Amazing defending. The person that is writing that should explain how it is a penalty. Are you trying to say that Armstrong kicked Walker even with the heaviest of biases that would be a reach |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 5:18pm On Sep 18, 2021 |
TheGoodJoe: There is no stricter referee in this case. Walker got in front of a striker that was through on goal. One on one with the keeper. It was Walker that was kicked. Not the other way around.
That was amazing defending. He got the whole City fans clapping.
For you to think it was a penalty shows how amazing that was.
Keep in mind that even after VAR told John Moss the referee that it was not a penalty, he did not believe and had to look at the screen himself.
Give it to Walker. That was amazing defending. Yes Kyle Walker got in front of him but that was all he got right, the other player managed to get his leg in front of him and Kyle Walker kicked him and the rule of cutting across is that you have to take the ball, like I said under a stricter ref that was a clear pen |

TheGoodJoe:
How can you class that terrible defending when the striker was through on goal, one on one with the keeper and Walker managed to stop him. He could easily be sent off but he pulled it off and defender a very risky situation. His only saving grace was that he was favorite to get the ball, but he cut across him and ended up kicking his leg, that is a pen with a stricter ref |
