iammo:well, the truth is Tinubu should not be so stupid not to tidy that to him. Do you think Tinubu will not have 60% control of the Lagos money even as Ambode as the Governor? |
iammo:INEC will still be penetrated. they are the one that will announce the final results. Remember that Tinubu has federal backup as at now. Buhari will want to return the favor for staying by him this time. |
Cajal:You are really saying the truth. In 2007, Obanikoro is way popular that Fashola then. "Kosi Koro Kosibo" back then. but, Tinubu publicity makes Fashola to emerge. Same as Jimi Agbaje to Ambode. |
buharitill2023:Lol . what concerns Biafra to this one? |
TundeBricklayer:So, what are you not saying? |
iammo:You think Ambode can win Lagos if he move to SDP? |

All early flights to Nnamdi Aziiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, have been cancelled over overshooting of the runway by a chartered aircraft. A Gulfstream aircraft belonging to Skybird Airline with the registration number 5N-BOD overshot the runway on Wednesday night, thereby leading to the closure of the runway by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). As of the time of filing this report, the reason for overshooting the runway by the aircraft was unknown and the airport authorities were still battling to remove the aircraft from the runway. However, passengers who had hoped to depart Lagos for Abuja were stranded at the airport, as all flights into the Federal Capital Territory were cancelled. Hordes of passengers were seen at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Lagos and the General Aviation Terminal (GAT). Virtually all the local airlines have early-morning flights out of Lagos while Dana Air introduced 7am flight out of Abuja to Lagos just on Monday. http://saharareporters.com/2018/09/13/breaking-all-flights-abuja-airport-cancelled-after-plane-overshoots-runway |
The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Transportation, has urged Japan to follow in the footsteps of their Chinese counterpart, and partner Nigeria on concessioning loans. Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transport, stated this when he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Japan to promote infrastructure investment and continuing cooperative relationship between both countries. Stating that the concessioning loan interest rate falls around 1.5 per cent, he said: “we will be glad if the Japanese government can come in as the Chinese government has come in”. Amaechi signed the MoU with Japan’s State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Tsukasa Akimoto at the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Abuja. Speaking at the event, Akimoto, who was accompanied by Japan’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yutaka Kikuta, said: “As the State Minister in charge of infrastructure in Japan, I have been impressed that there is still a great deal of scope for Japan to co-operate on building the infrastructure in your country. “As you all are aware, Your Excellency, Japan is putting in a great deal of emphasis on providing high quality infrastructure and in that respect, we are known in comparison to other countries such as China, Korea and European countries. If you look at the country’s cycle of infrastructure developed by the Japanese, ours is the most cost effective. “You are aware that in the past, there has been much discussion of Japan’s cooperation with Nigeria in providing the other railway and development plan in Lagos Island, and we hope there will be more opportunities in the future for Japan to provide technical expertise and capacity building, and also to provide high quality infrastructure here in Nigeria.” http://saharareporters.com/2018/09/12/after-china-fg-seeks-loan-japan

Anti-corruption groups are calling for an urgent inquiry into what would appear to be highly misleading statements made by Shell in evidence to an investigation by the 2012 Ad Hoc Committee of the House of Representatives into the corrupt OPL 245 oil bloc deal. In evidence to the Committee, Shell stated that that neither Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) nor Royal Dutch Shell (RDS) “is or was at any point in the past involved in OPL 245”. But a cache of leaked internal Shell emails tells a very different story. Far from being “uninvolved”, RDS — the London-registered company at the pinnacle of the Shell group — appears to have the controlling mind behind the important decisions relating to Shell’s involvement in OPL 245. Currently only Shell’s Read more at; http://saharareporters.com/2018/09/11/exclusive-leaked-emails-reveal-shell’s-lies-reps-2012-about-opl-245

There is unease in Ekiti State over the approval and purchase of a 2018 Lexus LX 570 Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) valued at N75 million for Governor Ayo Fayose as a “parting gift”. The purchase is causing anxiety in the civil service as fear grips officers involved in the deal ahead of the change of government on October 16. It was learnt that the vehicle was bought about a month ago but our reporter sighted the documents on the deal yesterday. A civil servant, who spoke in confidence, described the deal as “strange, suspicious and unheard of” at a time government workers and retirees are owed salary arrears. A memo for the purchase of the vehicle emanated from the Political and Economic Department of the Governor’s Office through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). The letter authorizing the purchase of the SUV was addressed to the SSG, Dr. Modupe Alade. It was written by Mr. Bayo Opeyemi, the Executive Secretary/Director General, and was dated August 1. The deal was alleged approved same day by Fayose with Read more at; http://saharareporters.com/2018/09/07/disquiet-over-n75m-lexus-fayose%E2%80%8B

Omoyele Sowore, Presidential Aspirant and Founder and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, has said “the old order; the regime of deceit, hunger and starvation is about to collapse in Nigeria”. He made this know when he addressed hundreds of supporters, who thronged the arrival wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, to welcome him back from a fundraising campaign in the United States and Canada. Speaking to the ecstatic crowd, he said: "Your PVC is the major weapon to liberate yourselves from the shackles of oppression and retardation in this country", just as he encouraged his supporters to keep advertising the liberation that has come to Nigeria on streets, towns and villages across Nigeria. He expressed his determination to work for the development of the country, stating that "by this time next year we can deliver road infrastructure, education and a leadership that is respected all over the world, not a Nigeria where they say youths are lazy, when they provide them with nothing”. Shortly after his arrival, while taking questions from a group of students of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, who had come to show their solidarity, said when elected, Sowore said his administration will focus on “providing scholarships with cash support per semester for students, while ensuring that students are connected through technology", in order to ensure that the students can access resources like books from other countries and also share ideas. He added that “during our time, Wi-Fi will become a fundamental human right, so that everyone is connected. And I am not saying this as a promise; there are tons of organisations who want to provide Wi-Fi for free”. Reacting to Sowore's comments, Rakiya Ahmed, one of the students at the event said: “What he is saying sounds impossible; I won’t lie to you. But at least he is young”. Two hundred and fifty-nine aspirants have declared interests in senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly seats in next year’s general elections in Ekiti State. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that prospective candidates would contest for the three senatorial seats, six House of Representatives’ seats and 26 seats in the House of Assembly in 2019. No fewer than 40 persons are currently seeking the nod of their political parties for the national and state assemblies’ seats from the five most visible parties in the state. The number of aspirants is expected to increase as Read more at: http://saharareporters.com/2018/09/06/2019-polls-259-declare-interests-35-seats-ekiti |
Jaideyone:Yes too bad that they don't have money like those thieves but i want you to know that the best candidate that has the highest moneyin 2015 lost the election. PDP spent more money than the APC if we want to go by money. This election should be based on revolutionary votes. If only youths can rally round a young, vibrant Omoyele Sowore come 2019 election, money will lose its gregarious power, the power of incumbency will be made redundant, political ‘principalities’ will fall, strongholds will give way and the captives of the mighty will be freed |
SolutionMee:Yes, Youth are the problem of this country by collecting money and voting this old thieves to the office. But we can because of that say all the youths do not have something upstairs to govern this country. A young presidential aspirant who doesn't have god father will be so good to rule this country, someone that is radical and political orientated. This country is not working and this is the best time to vote a youth in. |
Omoyele Sowore has proved that his “Take Back Nigeria Movement” is not possible without fundamentally involving Nigerians in Diaspora and the International community. His initiative was so far the smartest move by any of the Nigerian Youths running for President in 2019. Taking Nigeria back is exactly the right statement to summarize the goal of the Youths of Nigeria in 2019. How can you solve a problem you don’t understand? Omoyele Sowore understands the problem of Nigeria and will solve it if elected. Omoyele Sowore from Kiribo village or small town in Ondo State has become the arrow head of that Movement and for that political awareness just like Azikiwe came from Nsukka and Awolowo emerged from little Ilene of all places. I see something unique and special in Omoyele Sowore because I know him and because I once volunteered to work for him free of charge in a city where money is everything. I did so because I saw something special in him even though I am old enough to be his father. He is 47 my first and oldest son,a US Naval Officer is 51. Sowore has correctly chosen to fund his campaign by raising funds from Nigerians at home and abroad but more so from Nigerians in Diaspora who have helped in a big way to sustain the Nigerian Economy by the foreign currencies they have been ploughing back home to support their parents and family members or to buy valuable properties in Lekki Pennisula, in Lagos and Abuja and some of the choicest areas nationwide. If we are criticizing all of our old politicians for looting Nigeria to fund their campaigns it makes no sense for any youth who is serious about bailing out Nigeria to use the same method. Omoyele in that context has distinguished himself as the smartest and the one to beat in 2019. If the Youths of Nigeria are wise, they would rally round the best and the smartest among the Youth candidates and not for a compromise choices which is what has ruined Nigeria if you look back on our History like I do all the time. Tafawa Balewa ran against Ogbuefi Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo and Aminu Kano and was picked as Prime Minister while Azikiwe at his youthful best was appointed a ceremonial Governor General whose main function was to attend burials of Heads if State around the World. In 1979 Shehu Shagari ran against the same people and he emerged the winner again even though all he had wanted was to be a Senator and nothing more because he knew his limitations. I am using this statement to convince the Youths of Nigeria that they would be making a huge mistake to split their votes if they all troop out as we expect to vote in 2019 to bail out the country from the candidates of the two dominant parties which are two sides of the same coin to tell you the truth. Electing Omoyele Sowore would amount to a civilian coup which is badly needed at a time that any military coup has become a taboo or an aberration around the world. The obvious choice is Omoyele Sowore. I cannot wait to see him announce his running mate. Dr. Wumi Akintide. |
Arda1000:lol.. . What will he want to debate? i don't think he has something tangible to orate. |
LadySarah:We need young and vibrant President this time. I don't think he can be like Yahaya Bello. Why Bello is like that is because he has God father which is Buhari. |
Omoyele Sowore, Presidential Aspirant and Publisher of SaharaReporters, has urged Nigerians to encourage politicians to participate in presidential debates before election. Speaking on the programme, Politics Today on Wednesday, aired on Channels Television, Sowore restated the need for Nigerians to embrace fresh alternatives, and “say goodbye to poverty, incompetence and the lacklustre kind of leadership that we have had in Nigeria for the last 16 years, plus three years of APC.” According to him, it is not doing justice to the Nigerian polity to say that “there is no alternative to Buhari in Nigeria”. His words: “I don’t like when people say on national TV, especially within the mainstream, that there is no alternative to Buhari in Nigeria, when you have people like us who have capacity, character, integrity, stamina, pedigree and energy. We can run marathons while he’s walking 800 metres. “There are young people in Nigeria, who are presenting themselves with programmes, ideas that are fresh and innovative. I don’t know what is wrong with us; we’re the ones making the point that we don’t want to get out of the bondage that we are in. We are telling you that the alternative is here. We are the alternative. We just set up a party, African Action Congress, and it came out of six months of serious politicking within Nigeria; reaching out to the grassroots, holding meetings in 28 states across Nigeria. “Young people are here to take Nigeria to the next level. We want to say goodbye to poverty, incompetence and the lacklustre kind of leadership that we have had in Nigeria for the last 16 years, plus three years of APC. We should be talking about fresh ideas that we’re bringing on the table to grow electricity, infrastructure, power, and stop corruption from crippling, not the type of anti-corruption war that the APC is fighting.” On the need for a presidential debate, he said: “Let’s have that conversation. And if you want to be more serious, maybe we should start bringing these presidential candidates for debate. Buhari should be brought out. Nigerians should force them out of hiding. Let them come and debate the future of Nigeria. “Young people have come out and presented alternatives, and these alternatives are going to kick out the old [people] in 2019. We’re here to take the country to the next level and that is why I’m contesting for president.” http://saharareporters.com/2018/08/23/nigerians-should-force-politicians-out-hiding%E2%80%99-%E2%80%94-sowore-challenges-buhari-debate

ozento:How? have you listened to all before? |
donbachi:im telling yoyu. Youths constitutes about 60% of Nigeria's population and only if we can rally round the most courageous and promising one out of them. Nigeria need a young and vibrant president this time, this country is not working because there are too much corrupt leaders who are old enough to be in the grave right now. This is a country where parents will be watching their child dying on the sick bed in hospital because they can't afford to pay #20,000. it is so sad. |
Butterflyle0:Not all of these guys are in coalition. Some are not serious while some are. |
sarrki:Lol. But have you listened to any of these guys manifesto? |
Can any presidential candidate (YOUTH) emerge as the president of Nigeria?
|
amaniro:You are not rooting for Buhari, so whom are you now supporting? All i know is that Nigeria is tired of both APC and PDP. #TakeItBack movement led by Omoyele Sowore has announced his party which is African Action Congress (AAC). This is a party that is not only for revolution of Nigerians but for Africans as well. |
RebelChip:Until he became the next President of Nigeria. He is a clown to you but to Nigerians he has saved and freed, he is not. |
kunmiiii:Don't mind the OP, Just get your PVC and vote Omoyele Sowore as President. We need young and vibrant man to become the next President. Enough of Saraki's and Buhari's ruling this country. We must take this country back from the looters and those people that have milked this country to dryness must be jailed. |
crazysam001:is what? ![]() |
asheyorinitemi:Its Sai Bobo and we are taking it back. get your PVC and vote Omoyele Sowore as the next President. |
. what concerns Biafra to this one?
, save Ambode? more like save APC's strong hold after kano and its financial southwest capital. should tinubu have his way by forcing his stooge on APC, Ambode can always move to SDP, should ambode create a third political force in Lagos. Otedola would greatly benefit from such division
