Before the January 1966 coup, Nigeria's intergroup relations was mostly peaceful. So the Igbo had it coming. Playing the victim now is out of it, and whatever the versions of the history of Nigeria of those turbulent days that were told the Igbo children in their little huts back home cannot stand in the face of reasonable appreciation of true history. Thus, in vain shall the Igbo await any apology, any reparations and any remorse from their hurting compatriots.

The problem with all these prepared speeches is that they are done by hired paid professionals and experts, afterwhich they are discarded by the principal once hes able to hoodwink the masses into voting for them. Allow them to speak from the head on topical issues or face live interviews and you'll see they have very little to offer. That was how Buhari on getting into office was confronted with a promise in their manifesto and he said he wasnt aware of such, that Nigerians should hold the party responsible for that and not him.
We are tired of prepared speeches by professionals. We want to hear from the head of the persons seeking our votes. That's when we hear things like 'is it ewa, is it beans?'
