Onyedika no be am. It's not skill or footballing abilities. He has those qualities but his energy is too tame for our midfield. He is a better footballer than Frank Onyeka but Onyeka has great energy. If Onyeka is on the pitch, you can feel his energy in your pulse. It's as if he drags you with him as he runs up and down the pitch.

Onyedika on the other hand is like cold sugar less pap. He's just bleh. Alhassan and Nnadi will nick his spot
With the way all our MF are currently playing, we might not see Onyedika in our next AFCON squad.
Ndidi
Onyeka
Iwobi
Alhassan
Nnadi
Bashiru
These 6 MFs to me are better than him in the SE

Imagine where Onyedika they for donkey years, Nnadi don come they start ahead of him. If Alhassan was in the lineup, he would have also started or played ahead of him.

The most annoying thing about Simon is his unnecessary holding on to the ball on the wings, backing a defender and trying to shield the ball when he can play a pass or release the ball to a team mate and asvance the game.

Its childish, elementary football. It is a fundamental football flaw to play with your back to the opposing post as a winger. It causes traffic, slows the game, kills attacking momentum, allows the opponents to double up on you and dispossess you.

Rather than hug the touchline to receive the ball when you're being marked, tuck into the middle to receive the ball so you're facing the opponents goal and can advance play.

Gosh, Moses Simon football education is so 1960ish and his football IQ is low. 10 years in the Super Eagles but still playing like an Otu. Its exasperating.
It shows in real life he is dull and that's why it has been hard for him to learn and improve.
Look at Dogu, he was excellent before joining Man City but at the beginning of him at Man City, he was playing like an advanced Moses Simon. But he has learnt and improved and he is now a monster

That’s why we need all of them to play regularly together more in matches like this it helps in fine tuning the team and stronger mentality for tougher games
Osimhen mostly thinks otherwise

from the u20 World Cup I have single him out as a baller. The boy is good and Marseille will for sure regret if they discard him this summer
Marseille started starting him towards the end of last season and they never looked back. He became so trusted in Marseille that he was used as a RB at the end of last season when their RB was injured

Imagine a SE team without players like Aina on the right, Bassey in defence, Iwobi in midfield and Osimhen and Lookman in attack still playing like a European team with clean passes and ball controls. What Chelle cannot do doesn't exist.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Sugarboyy(m): 8:45pm On Jun 03
My first half assessments thus far

Okoye hasn't has much to do but he seems confidence, mostly when playing from the back

Our RB still they play like small pikin 🤣🤣

Ogbu has been good

Fernandez has been good and he looks confidence with the ball on his feet and to me he is the better CB for the SE in this match so far

Bruno is always decent

Ndidi has been very good mostly with his positional play

Nnadi has been commanding and to me the best SE player in this first half

Onyeka as always has been running, playing both the MF and on the right on intervals

Simon, aside the assist, I have nothing to look upto him for

Adam and Moffi has been playing well and their size has unsettled the polish defence.

Please we don't need Onyedika in this match, our MF has been doing so well

How Moses Simon who has been playing professional football for more than a decade still can't put in a decent cross is baffling 🤔

The only viable solution to Nigeria problems is a coordinated disintegration along religious and ethnic lines.

Ethnicity, corruption and religion holding Nigeria backward.
Was telling some group of young people recently that no one can change Nigeria, not even Tinubu, Obi and Atiku acting as president because Nigeria problem is structural and foundational. The only way out is for the country to break up and let all the new countries that would come out of Nigeria start afresh with their new constitutions.
Imagine I'm from the S/S but the Police AIG in my state is from the North and the Police DPO in the station in my village is also from the North. If a Fulani terrorist is arrested in such a circumstances and they are handed over to the police headed by their brothers, won't he release them?
If we from the S/S have our own country and because we have no single resemblance with the northerners, we will know and treat them as illegal immigrants when we see them and it becomes easy to deal with them because their brothers won't be heading our security agencies

Giving arthur the starting position will be suicidal. Atleast okoye and Uzoho are experienced in facing top teams. The only top team he has faced yet is Chelsea and that was during the fa cup. His time will come.
Uzoho Na keeper?
Okoye or Okonkwo should man the SE post if or when Nwabali isn't playing

Sad to say, but I don't see Nwabali getting back into this team anytime soon

Arthur will only get better..
Already looks like a future number 1

If Okoye comes in against Portugal and Poland and drops a goal keeping Master class as expected, then it's over for Nwabali..

I don't know why he left Chippa Utd the time he did..
But that decision has cost him big time

I hope he gets a good club soon
But the market for goal keepers is really tight
Nwabali might lose his No. 1 spot but he can't be dropped from the team if he is fit. Uzoho will be dropped rather

Thanks for raising this up. He would have played back ball more than 100times.
To dribble na wahala, no inspiration in the midfield.
I swear . No wonder he is still at Club Brugge after 10 years 🤣
Not even any of the spur top teams in Turkey is looking to buy him.
With Alhassan and Nnadi displays in this Unity Cup, I won't be surprised if in the soon to be line doesn't include Onyedika anymore. Ndidi, Onyeka, Iwobi, Dele Bashiru, Alhassan and Nnadi

He dey try sometimes
He can shield the defense well, spray passes and a has good eye for goals
My brother Na lie
Remember when Ndidi was out of form and SE fans were glamoring for Ndidi to be dropped for Onyedika? All the SE coaches that came at that time we're still using Ndidi over him, including Chelle. Then come Onyeka into the SE and because of his performance, the SE coaches had to start playing 3 midfielders just to accommodate Onyeka and sometimes Dele Bashiru. There was never a time any SE coaches had to create space just to accommodate Onyedika in the starting lineup, that should tell you he brings nothing to the team

He in my opinion should be the next U23 coach. He's done enough through the years to be trusted with that role.

I'm also rooting for the Rangers Chairman Amobi Ezeaku as the next NFF chairman (of course I know the politics will make this unlikely). Should this happen our football will be the better for it.

I first came across him on one of these Instagram live football show a couple of years ago. He was in Europe at the time getting a FIFA Maters certification amongst many others since then. I remember him coming back to Nigeria and upon the request of the governor of Enugu state became chairman of Enugu rangers. He hasn't just implemented forward thinking reforms at the club, he's won them 2 NPFL titles in 3 years since he became chairman. Anyone who knows how difficult the Nigerian league is will know this is no small feat.

This is me just highlighted one of the very few administrator per excellence who has shown in their own little corner what is possible. Hopefully with more people getting to know of him, he'll hopefully be better positioned to take on a more consequential role in our football administration.
For the Rangers chairman, even with his knowledge, he needs to align with the right people and he can end up getting the NFF chairman position. Everything in life is politics and if he plays his politics well, not even his tribe or religion would be able to stop him. He shouldn't sit at the comfort of his sitting room and expect the position to be handed to him on a platter... Others are still aspiring and nothing stops them. He should first table his aspiration to Mba his governor who is very close to the President, then to Hope Uzodinma and then to Pinnick, he will get it

So it's Zaidu who has hardly impressed in national colors that deserves a call up ahead of Ryan? Lol ok o...while at it, since we're supposing to be using these Unity Cup and friendly windows to expand our radar on the new players with a view of rebuilding, what's the logic of inviting Simon Moses whom we've seen enough of and definitely tired of instead of Promise Obah?

I can agree to some extent with the reasons you stated for the exclusion of the other players.
Does Zaidu and Ryan plays the same position?
Them just wired some of una to complain over everything

And I think he is already 28 or so.
He was the reason Chelle went to watch a 3SC match recently and he was the one Chelle was praising to high heaven but said he need to work on his defensive when he is not with the ball. The guy is a 10 playmaker
