Phones / Re: Data Resellers At Loss As Our ISP Providers Now Offers Better Data Plans by SUGARSON(m): 2:03pm On May 14, 2016
Nurtay:
As a data reseller myself, it's pretty challenging but not entirely surprising coz I saw it coming. When NCC removed the floor cap for data to allow each telcos determine their prices without any fear of breach, I knew a data price revolution was bound to happen. MTEL factor also necessitated MTN preemptive measure to counter the threat to remain dominant and relevant.

I want to use this medium to express my profound gratitude to our teeming customers on data, it's almost 16 months in d business. I've achieved a whole lot with the business while it lasts coz I optimally maximized the opportunity to the core. At peak period, I did sell 80GB to 120GB on the average daily unlike now that I struggle to sell 20GB.

Through data business alone, I was able to venture into other businesses with MTN, I secured a dealership in sim registration and mobile financial services. I'm an authorised DYA superagent in Osun state and I have hundreds of active retail agents pan-Osun. I registered my company(Nurenta Global Concept Ltd), rented a spacious and fully air conditioned office for the weekly training of our teeming agents , employed ten marketers and three full time staffs, bought my private car of not less than 2.5 million naira, bought a bus for marketing our Diamond Yellow Account service. I'm currently planning on having a phone shop before the end of the year. All thanks to MTN datashare business.

I took time to highlight all I achieved from MTN sharedata business in less than two years for our youths to know that there's always a hidden treasure in every opportunity u have no matter how small it may look. It depends on u going the extra mile with uncommon zeal to maximise it.

Before I ventured into the business, I used to be a full time commercial motorcyclist within Ile-ife metropolis. By the curious twist of fate, I met someone on nairaland here that I could make up to 5K daily by helping to resell his data. I printed some small handbills, circulated them, gave some to my passengers. The start was so daunting and frustrating due to d level of mistrust and scepticism out there but I didn't just give up. I later thought of taking it to another level to make my journey in d business faster. The guy I partnered with started when d business was relatively new, he had enough customer base to sell 75GB within a day or two (when 75GB subscription was still feasible). I thought within myself that if I wanted to make it pretty fast and be independent, I needed to do something extra. I later thought of going on air to advertise it. I took the risk, advertised daily on radio for a whole month. That was d turning point coz the advert was a magic wand in turning d business around.

As an okada man, I didn't have a business name neither did I have a base (shop) as an address. I talked with one of my loyal passengers that had an abandoned Eatery to help me put it into use. He accepted my request and d rest is now history.

With perseverance, resilience and unwavering determination to succeed and get out of poverty against all odds and to the Glory of God, I'm now d highest paid DYA(Diamond Yellow Account) partner pan Nigeria.

Datashare business is practically dead at least for now though, I now have financial cover to weather the storm through other businesses.

Always make hay while d sun shines.

NICE AND INSPIRING STORY.
Business / Re: Why You Should Stop Sports Betting & Gambling by SUGARSON(m): 11:15pm On May 05, 2016
metrosexual:
I wouldn't talk about "gambling" because I don't know much about that. I will talk about sports betting, some call it gambling but I don't agree. Throwing a coin to show a random number is more of gambling than watching Atletico Madrid FC for years and predicting they would rarely lose a match at home.

Everything needs moderation and expertise, most folks lose at Sport betting because they take it to luck or chance.

Most sport bet punters day dream and hope they would become millionaires overnight. That happens sometimes but out of 10 million sport bet punters in a week, only like 1 percent experience such luck.

Take betting as a business and analyse it detailedly with statistics and detailed information and you would rarely lose.

Take for instance, a co-worker at the start of the season put in N15,000 in betting on teams to win the English Premier League. All the small clubs had huge odds of up to 5000 odds. He staked 100 each for the small clubs with huge odds. And for the bigger teams he staked higher amounts which all resulted to N15,000 in total.

Come May 2th 2016, Leicester City FC won the league, Leicester City FC had 5000 odds to win the league, the dude won N500,000 from the N100 stake he placed on all small teams with huge odds.

I know of someone who from the start of the season plays every West Ham Utd game to play over 1.5 goals(meaning - there would be at least 2 goals in every West Ham Utd matches). West Ham Utd this season have played over 1.5 goals in 85% of their games meaning he has gained a lot. He stakes N20,000 per game and makes a profit of between N6,500 to N8,500 per game. At the end of the season the money what he gains is usually in the range of N120,000 to N150,00 taking out the few 5-7 times he lose a bet. Mind you, he makes his bets online and doesn't withdraw his initial deposit or wins till the end of the season. At the end of the season he then invests the money into anything of his choice. I can't exhaust the plenty betting strategies which intelligent punters I know employ and ALWAYS WIN, these friends I'm talking about are not unemployed, they are University graduates with good white collar jobs but they see the good investment and payout in sports betting and the key to winning is betting based on valid statistics, the least risks and least games as possible.

Betting houses sponsor football leagues the world over because they expect games to be fair and not fixed or else punters will milk them dry. Why do you think any club caught "selling" or fixing matches is severely punished? Remember what happened to Juventus FC years back? What do you think made football this popular in the world today? Sports betting of course!

Go to foreign countries and see rich men winning big in sports betting, but here in Nigeria its just kids believing in luck and chance and the betting houses keep milking them dry.

I'm tired of typing, make your intelligent deductions based on your opinion.

Ciao!

I LOVE YOUR ANALYSIS BRO.

I guess we can make this the best android thread on NL and hopefully it hits front page. So here is what ama do... I would list simple basic beginner apps and tell you all wat they do.

Tasker... This one is able to do almost anything from schedule when a sms should be sent or delivered to getting info when someone unauthorized accesses your fone, also reconfigure how your fone apps operate even save battery.... Enough said.

Watt pad.... Contains most books we buy from bookshops and also has audio for them... It's all for free

Naija radio station. Is the radio that works without earpiece and you get stations you never knew existed... It's uses small data too.

Evernote.... This is the best notepad... U can add videos n pics to the same notes... It connects to your email automatically sync and even if you fone was off u can still get your notes

Root browser.... This is common but it has a secret use for reviving your crashed Google play store

Hotspot shield..... Well if u make money with foreign sites like fiver or surveys... This changes your fone ip to any country of your choice. It's free too

Future fortune pro.... Tells you all about yourself, your path in life, your challenges with solutions to your private struggles carefully grafted to your unique identity

True caller and true messenger.... They block all these network and marketing calls n sms automatically for me and any unknown number is easily exposed cos they tell me the person's name and location

Air droid.... This app is for transferring files from pc to fone and also use your fone to control your pc remotely and even collect files from your pc wherever you are

Many others o.... These are the ones I feel I can release to the public... I basically use artificial intelligence apps especially for my forex trading apps, call spying apps and security cameras

WOW!
THESE APPS SOUNDS INTERESTING.
CHECKING THEM OUT SOON...

dhtml18:
Thanks for all those vouching for me above. It has been done by even people before me, and myself so i know it is possible.
@topic: it is very possible, others before me have done it, and I did it too. It was only until this year that I completely left medicine to practice programming full-time due to situation demands.

But practicing medicine and programming together is another thing. If you are a professional programmer truly, you will be getting quite a lot of demands and SHOULD NOT HAVE TIME TO PRACTICE MEDICINE AFTER GRADUATION, PLUS PROGRAMMING IF DONE PROPERLY WILL GIVE YOU MORE MONEY THAN MEDICINE.

This means that after graduation, you will need to select your direction. You cannot be doing residency program and be practicing professional programming at the same time - there is just no time for that.

So for myself and the other dudes i know to get away with it, always end up leaving one for one - and it is usually medicine that we leave in the end.
.
SO YOU READ MEDICINE... AND ALSO A PROGRAMMER...

Mine was even shorter. Resumed on Wednesday, resigned on Thursday. The coy recruited us from lagos, took us to ibadan to a cocoa processing plant. Men i have never seen such a badth company before. They process cocoa, machines were old ( normal in Nigeria). 7 am to 7pm to 7am shift, one free mama put meal per day. The blended cocoa line supposed to heated 24/7 because it solidifies quickly. Most of the lines heating filament have damaged so you have to keep the plant running to avoid line blockage. The guy i supposed to relief left 10 minutes before my arrival then the wahala started. The grinding machine (Cylinder as tall as 2meters, diameter like 1meter) full of blended cocoa and bearings to make it fine, content solidified together with lines connected to it. We started parking them out because the machine will never start until everything is evacuated. i spent the first 6 hrs packing chocolates , sweating profusely, so much comands. i said to my self, this is a bad omen. first day at work this stressful. i discovered that this happened often because their generator has been bad for months. you know what that means. i resigned with immediately. mi o le wa ku. My parents were in active service and were never tired of taking care of me. i was the one looking for independence. i picked race. one guy lost his hand to hot chocolate accidentally pressed out of a hydraulic press. i resigned through text message on my way home.
