Education / Re: What Is The Importance Of Mathematics To Arts Students ??? by SUGARSON(m): 10:53am On Sep 22, 2014
dcaliph: We all need maths to excel. Even if you are an art student, knowing maths would make you better than your peers who don‘t know it. Drawings are usually in proportions and also deals with angles, thats why mathematicians like leonaldo dan vinci excelled in art.

If you are a lawyer you need maths to collect and process data. If the case has to do with finance, a lawyer that is good in maths can use simple percentages to decieve the other one who hates maths.

Also there is personal finance, one need to be able to prepare his budget, if one is abe to put his monthly expenditure in a pie chat and compare it with previous months, he would be better able to manage his finance than one who do not know the proportion of his income he spends in recharge card.

Everybody needs maths, those who say they do not need maths, if they are sincere, would remember the many times they would have been able to solve a problem if they had known maths. And the embarassment of calling a small child to help them do simple calculations. The more maths you know, the more productive you would be.

THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA EDUCATION SYSTEM IS THAT WE WERE NOT TAUGTH HOW TO APPLY MATHS IN OUR LIVES, WE WERE JUST TAUGHT HOW TO SOLVE MATHS.

GBAM! FURTHER WORDS IS UNNECESSARY.

Erm!!

Submission isnt subject to negotiation. You are either submissive or Domineering. angry

In every relationship, their must be a lead and a follower. If you aint following and yet aint leading, then there is a problem.

Respect is mutual I agree, but it starts from the Woman. Meaning; If me and the woman meet in the morning; She MUST say Good morning to me FIRST, then I reciprocate by responding; 'Good Morning to you too, now go make me an english Breakfast with Toast, ham, sausages, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs sunny side up and Black Coffe no cream or sugar..'. cool

atlwireles: There will be thousands dying across Northeastern Nigeria in the next couple of weeks. The only good news is most will be boko haram or north easterners supporting boko haram. It never had to come to this. The armed forces are now determined to make Odi look like a child's play. God bless the Nigerian army and my condolences to the Northerners that will be killed like rats in the next weeks. Remember you brought this unto yourselves.

It will not fly. A wilder is having fantasy I guess:
1. There is not aerodynamics in that conjuncture. It will basically drag (which will exhaust the propelling force from the back). If it stops, it falls. In this case, it will not even leave the ground.
2. The quantity of metal on that small structure is so much. The gas-cylinder even without the weight of the pilot is enough to anchor a ship.
3. The fan blade at the back is small and cannot product sufficient thrust.
4. The tapoline at the top (wing) cannot hold the weight. It has no control the pilot can hold on to. The pole at the centre is useless, the wing has no hold on the "plane" at the front or back.
5. The entire "plane" will be spinning midair. It has no tail with a vertical wing to keep the object steady and expel the spin generated from the propellers.

IT SEEMS YOU ARE AN ENGINEER...

chronique: Funny enough,I like the fact that you can't get to see pics of Aso rock online except you visit the place physically. I also like the fact that it's not a place anybody can visit easily. If it was,who knows what kind of embarrassment boko haram would have caused us by attempting to attack this building? Nigerians are so sentimental and majority of us lack proper reasoning and fail to dissect issues properly, before commenting on them. We always want things in Nigeria to be done the way you have them in America and Britain(which is not a bad idea),but do not live like them/have the same patriotism like them. They have a united front and will do anything to support each government that comes to power;they are not divided along religious/ethnic/tribal lines. But in Nigeria, every government that comes into power and is headed by a man from a certain part of the country, automatically becomes an enemy of another part of the country. I believe Aso rock was built with all that secrecy,to prevent the govt of the day from being toppled via a coup d'etat;not necessarily to prevent a foreign invasion. When the military built this,I'm not sure they were envisaging a civilian president without military background, coming to live in it. Today,it's been a sort of blessing to the current president, and would still be to subsequent civilian presidents. With all that has happened in Nigeria these past few years,I doubt if attempts wouldn't have been made to either topple the govt,or assassinate the president.

The plain truth is that, the political situation in Nigeria as at today,is still very volatile and as such, cannot allow for "unnecessary" tourism into Aso rock villa(irrespective of the fact that it was built with our money and the govt was elected into office by us). Violence and political killings has to be eroded completely from our politics, and Nigerians must start to see and support whoever is in power, without looking at where He/She comes from, before asking for Aso villa to be open to its citizens. Until that is done,I say: close Aso villa and make it as discreet and secretive as it can be.

Phils: OFF TOPIC
Once had one of the best interviews. Spent about an hour/thereabout with the interviewers whereas other applicants spent less than 20 minutes. The interview ended with 4 of the 5-man panel smiling and happy with me except for 1. A member of the panel gave me his facebook username and requested I add him up...my facebook is clean by the way.
They gave me 5k as 'transport subsidy'. Their Office Assistant was all over me and said it looks certain they would employ me.
Their Recruitment Officer called me after a week to tell me that I satisfied all their criteria but I'm ambitious and they can't afford to spend money on someone that will not stay long with them. Well, I took it in good faith. Still-on-still, this there 'compliment' knock-out pain me wella. Interviewers have their ways of asking questions and deducing from response.

Still-on-Still. U gat to move on...
