KingRuckus: Pls I have an issue, I got my naija passport in 2010 ( & I have travelled twice with it). It is due to expire in JUNe 2015. I would apply for a tier 4 visa in October because my course starts jan. 2015 & ends JuN 2016. I hope my passport expiry date won't affect my visa or should I just get another one before I apply ??

It won't affect, it is not upto 6mnths naa?
Mayb u use my case as an example. My passport is expiring Feb 2015, I applied for visa July 2014. My Course ends Dec 2015. Visa was approved August, been in d UK four weeks now. Don't knw if my case helps.

I was refuse TWICE last year, all was because of not enough money. I did apply again dis year, submit all d requiremnts and waited for 10days b4 I saw my email. Now am in d UK relaxing and waiting till when I resume.
NB: be ready to explain y u were refuse initially at d POE. Cos dey must delay u. Just tell dem d whole truth.

Bambazz hw many dayz have you counted since d day u applied? If it is not up2 15 working days, just relax
Your application might hv been delayed so long mayb cos of d initial refusal. So relax if it is nt upto 15days.

ruksy: I'm Ecstatic... just saw my approval e-mail in my Junk box. Thanks Justwise and SpikesC, I appreciate all your effort. I don't think anyone was as worried as I was cos I made so many mistakes while filling my form and I did not even get to sit for an interview but it came out fine. I got positive encouragement from those two fine men I mentioned above.
I submitted at Ikeja on the 11th August and the approval email came in today. Glory!!!

Emmagency: I'm heading to London (Heathrow) this September... Have done a little search on flight tho...but appears most of them involves either a transit in Dubai or Spain.. (still checking)

Can anyone travelling this period provide the best bet airline they've discovered so far? (to save a brother a lot of time as I don't feel comfortable doing this at work *prying eyes* and I always return late)

And secondly, can someone give me few reasons I should get a 2 way ticket (which of course, return ticket date can be changed when the time is near) as I still don't fully get it..and please don't add 'because it's cheaper' to the list..(I mean, how much difference in terms of naira can be there?)

Oga Emmagency, abeg start to dey find flight nw oo. Arik air (direct flight) if u book 2nyt and departure is arud mid-september, it is way way cheaper, no hassle.
I am goin wit Emirate dis wednesday but via dubai 1st before connecting to heathrow, d only cheap (One way) flight I got, I no mind d long hours sha.

Hello fellow Nairalanders, any1 booking flight to Heathrow ryt now should prepare to pay a lot of moneyyyy, oboy tickets don over cost. Got a 17 hours Emirate flight at last, but has to go 2 dubai 1st. Cheii!!
Advise to every1, while waiting 4 a response, book your flight. Or else

kindebo: just tell your friend to go and collect it at vfs, then check the passport if it was approved or refused. Got the same message and have gotten my visa.

@kindebo, where did u submit VI or Ikeja? Guess u ve collected your documents.

Bambamzzzz: @ DonOms and SpikeC if am going to do the review after a new application has been send in, am going to put all the statement of account i included in my application that was refused or just the review forms alone? and secondly i am waiting for my school to send me a new cas and am ready to apply with one statement that 5 million has been there for the past 2 month under name and its still there till now so my question is if i re apply now with just one statement and all the money needed is there,whats my chance of getting the visa?please advice me

I will advice u to only reapply, d one statement is kk, provided d money is up 2 28days. My advise is: (1) get in a new CAS from yur school and reapply asap. (2) submit in Abuja to get a quick response. (3) You will get d visa, if u follow my advice.
NB: do not REVIEW, but REAPPLY instead.

Hello house, guess something is wrong with these VFS guyz. Got my visa approved since last week and up till 2day I have nt receivd any sms from them. Was at their office at ikeja 2day and dey told me 2 wait for sms. Planned on travelling this weekend. Do not knw wat is wrong with dem. Is any1 facing d same problem 2?

chivitech: You can enter the UK a month earlier than your resumption date as long as you course is more than 6 months. So yes, you can travel on the 1st of September, there will be no consequence.

Emmagency: If your course is for less than six months, then you can only travel one week before resumption.. for a longer course, you can travel one month before resumption... but make sure you get your calculations right as the course start date stated in your CAS will be used..
