ramalot:
Suckovick. Detailed info on how I got it done last year.

I don't live in Nigeria, but I had to process a Nigerian visa for my wife, so we could visit Nigeria together.

We first tried processing it on the NIS website. It was a mess. The wording on the website makes it seem like you can process an "eVisa" 100% online, but that's not true.

When I started processing it, AFTER making a payment of about $105, it asked what the closest Nigerian embassy to me was. We were visiting Ghana at the time and heading to Nigeria next, so I put in, Accra. Only then, it notified that an appointment had to be made at that embassy I selected.

I said whatever, and made the appointment for the next day. We got there and they said, "sorry, we can't help you. We only process Nigerian visas here for people residing in Ghana." WTH?

They said we have to go and request a refund from Innovate1, which is the third-party service that processes payments for NIS' website. Innovate1 refused to issue a refund, and tried to hold on to it. Getting it refunded is a story for another day, but to keep it short, I had to ask my bank in the US to get it back from them - which they did.

So since the NIS website option and going to the embassy in Accra were all a waste of time, I found out Wakanow processes visa on arrival. I contacted them, paid and got it by email, 7-8 days later, which is longer than they promised, but still okay. They didn't ask any detailed questions. I'll attach the list they sent.

The amount is shown in the image, but that was Sept. 2023, so prices will be different. It was about 45-50k more expensive to process it with Wakanow, than directly with NIS. However, it was an easy process, where I didn't have to deal with the shenanigans and headaches of the NIS site anymore. I believe the visa was valid for 30 days.

So this is all you need to get your Zambian lady to you. Since this is a short term visa, you'll need to figure out long term options after she arrives. Good luck.
How can I contact you pls

Yea..it is grace.
Just state a better purpose.
I don't know the documents they ask foreigners coming to naija but using other countries as reference, you should send her an invite letter, tell her to get a police report, and tell her to give a reason why she would go back to her country (similar to home tie).

The chance of getting it should increase.

Mod: I just remember, gambia is under ecowas. She can get in easily. You can also go there as long as you guys have passport.
Benin Republic is a visa free to Zambia.
Can she come in through seme boarder ?
How possible is that

Like someone said, go with visa on arrival.

Don't book any flight. The security is extremely tight in Nigeria. If no reason to be here in Nigeria, they will send her back.

Note that to get into naija legally is very difficult.
Make sure you state your purpose well.
Will advise you not talking about marriage sef or else they won't give you.
You mean her coming here is not 100% guaranty ?

Very very easy and simple Legally. Go to NIS website and process a Visa on Arrival for her maybe a week before she plans to come. When in Nigeria, get married and easily process a 'Niger Wife' residence permit
Thanks so much for this.. I will check the Nis portal asap

Anything you are doing, make sure you do it legally. Don't mind those people advising you to book a flight for her.

You can go to the embassy and work out visa for her or she goes to their embassy to seek for Nigerian Visa.

Do the right thing so it won't backfire.
Thanks for your honest response I already mail Zambian embassy in Nigeria. I will update you on their reply to my mail.

A LESSON FOR THE FIRST TIME TRAVELER

Beware as the sky’s open for travel .
If you travel by air a lot, beware of over friendly chatty seat neighbours.

This is very sad 😭😭😭

The older lady comes and sits next to me inside the plane. She asked me to help her put her bag in the overhead luggage compartment. But a gentleman sitting across quickly came through. (I am not very tall and the overhead luggage compartment is something I try to avoid at all costs.

Immediately she sits down she strikes up a conversation. She was very pleasant and well spoken. So we chatted all through the flight to Dubai.

Suddenly, when the pilot announced that we were now proceeding to begin our descent into DXB, my good friend 'developed' stomach pains.
Me with my good heart, I pressed the stewards button, and the stewardess came to find out what the problem was. I told her my seat mate was not feeling well.

And this lady, she suddenly began to address me as 'my daughter'. The stewardess told me that there was nothing they could do except give her some painkillers and wait until we landed.

The pilot announced that we had a medical emergency on board and advised us all to stay calm. My new friend was crying and sweating like crazy. And she refused to let go of my hand... everyone assumed we knew each other.

So we landed at DXB and the same gentleman who helped put up her luggage in the overhead compartment removed her luggage. But as he removed the luggage, he advised me to distance myself from this lady and make it clear to the cabin crew that we were NOT travelling together. He was a godsend!

So indeed, the cabin crew came and asked me if we were related, I categorically told them we had met on the plane. I didn't know her at all. So we began to deplane and as I said goodbye she kept begging me to carry her handbag. I was so torn... but the gentleman looked me in the eye and emphatically shook his head. He passed me a note telling me to let the cabin crew handle her.

So I exit the aircraft and leave my 'new friend' to wait for the wheelchair and be handled by the cabin crew feeling very guilty.
As we waited for our luggage to come through, I hear this commotion.
My 'new friend' was running, trying to escape the cabin crew, having gotten out of the wheelchair! She left the stewardess with her handbag and just ran towards the exit with the rest of her hand luggage! Luckily the airport police were faster than her.

They got hold of her and brought her back in handcuffs.
This lady starts calling out to me.. my daughter... my daughter!.. how could you do this to me..... that's when I caught on.

She was carrying drugs and she was trying to implicate me!

Luckily for me, the gentleman who had helped her with her luggage came forward and told the airport police that me and her had just met on the plane. The police took my passport and asked her to reveal my full names if it was true we were travelling together.

By God's grace, I had not even told her my first name! I was still asked to follow the police to a little room where I was questioned extensively. Where did I meet her?... where did I board... where did she board. Etc... And my luggage was extensively searched and dusted for fingerprints.

They dusted all her luggage and my fingerprints were not found anywhere on her luggage or on her handbag!

I was let go with advice never ever to touch anyone's luggage either in flight or at the airport. So from that day, I don't care how much luggage you have, you will deal with it yourself. I will not even offer you a trolley to put your luggage on! Your luggage... your problem.... is my policy.
And if you can't reach the overhead compartment, and I am the nearest person, please call the cabin crew because all I will do is give you a blank stare and then look away!
A lesson to glean therein for intending air travelers.

Hannania:
There's something called Ausbildung in Germany. Companies will train you for three year while paying you averagely €800 to €2500 depending on the company. That's enough for your living expenses monthly. When you're done, your chances of employment is almost 100%.

For requirements, you need B1 German, and for nursing it's B2. All you need to do is have the language certificate, apply, then get your visa.

Getting a visa in Nigeria is more than a year for that, and the companies will not wait. Heres my suggestion

Get residence permit from Benin republic, Senegal or Gambia. It has to stay of 6 months before you can apply for visa in those counties. From now till then, you can learn German to B1/B2 id you're serious.

When you get the Ausbildung offer, use the residence permit and you'll be in Germany. There's no need for proof of Funds because the offer meets that. Good luck
