koxyz:
The government should do the needfuls and stop paying lip service what to is urgently important.

They should tackle issue of terrorism, which is preventing most farmers from farming.Large shrunk of the proceeds from subsidy removal should be spent on food production

The issue of stunted growth will become something of the past automatically.
Northern Nigerians should take responsibility of the insecurity and food problem. The Northern Elite introduced Sharia Law ideology in 1999, which has led to the extreme Islamic culture across Nigeria.

This was exactly what I said a few months ago. Preach PBAT's works and policies to the people. Most Nigerians have been poisoned not to like him already. They failure to sleep last night or have a proper shit this morning is because of PBAT.

Do try to convince them. Just show them that the man is doing the job even if you do not like him.

You do not have to like or love PBAT. Nobody send you that one. Is he doing the job of the President as it should be?

That is the question to be considered.

Is he repositioning the country to become a better and prosperous nation in another 10, 15, 20 years? If the answer is yes,, I do not care if go hungry today. Cos my children will eat good tomorrow.

That is what we should all be looking out for.
Building a light rail in a state that has more than 4 million children out of school is stupid. Lagos built it light railway using its resources. The federal government should complete the Ibadan to Kano SGR to support freight nd people.

Its now obvious that Tinubu is scared that he will lose in 2027.
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Approves ₦1.5 Trillion Light Rail Project For Kano by sulaak(m): 7:57pm On Aug 09, 2025
LaIabobo:
Kano has no business running a light rail NOW. The residents cannot afford it and therefore it'll be hugely subsidised causing the government to struggle to pay off the loan.
Kano needs an SGR between Lagos and Kano, and not a light rail system that Kano cannot afford. Tinubu is only interested in re-election; he has nothing to offer Nigeria and Nigerians.

The problem is the other 90%, they are docile, contented with the crumbs given to them by the 10%

Well said. Begging and handouts are the name of the game for 90%. Tinubu is building a road to nowhere (Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road ) while 30 million Nigerians are suffering from hunger in Bornu.

SalamRushdie:
I got an A in English you probably didn't so keep quiet , I know what my comment was about , it's no secret 3rd mainland bridge repairs or maintenance is a corruption laden pipeline z they shut the bridge to traffic , take money from FG account to maintain it and dont actually do anything most times ..Fashola closed that bridge for 6 months and did t fix a single pothole on it when asked he said it was structural repairs
The third mainland bridge has structural problems due to a 20-year lack of annual maintenance by both the military and civilian government. When Fashaloa shut down the bridge for 6 months, he was conducting structural work/maintenance and not road maintenance.

You are justified in being suspicious about the government using these maintenance programs to steal funds. This is a common problem in the UK, where road work that should take 3 days would take 3 weeks. This is where the NASS should step in, but they are only interested in padding the budget.

PhonesRe: How 9mobile Became Mtn's Number One Customer In Nigeria by sulaak(m): 1:55pm On Aug 07, 2025
fineboynl:
Mtn is own by whites. Same thing with Airtel by Indians. Any tech controlled by Nigerians hardly even works in this country.

9mobile own by banks and some politicians.
The original 9Mobile was owned by a Black Zimbabwean and called Econet, who was pushed out by Nigerian bankers and then sold to the UAE Etisalat until they got fed up with the Nigerian FX exchange program under Buhari and pulled out, opening the door to Isa Funtua to take over the operator and then rename it as 9mobiles until his death and transfer to his incompetent son Abubakar Funtua.

Abubakar Funtua is the reason why 9mobile has fallen from grace, he spent the company's profit on buying private jets and living like a billionaire instead of improving the mobile operator.

Abubakar Funtua, son of the late business mogul Isa Funtua.

$25 million loan will soon become $1 billion when the government stop paying the interest.

A serious government will cut the size of government, stop building useless projects such as refurbishing the airport or the Lagos-Calabar coastal road.

The Federal Government has secured a $25.35 million concessionary loan from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to support a major initiative aimed at reducing the number of out-of-school children in Kaduna State.

It is shocking how Nigerians think. Buhari has a mortgage on fuel export until 2031. Borrowed $47 billion and printed N27 billion with no incoming revenue and high demand for imported goods and services. The country will have a weak currency that is chasing the dollar.

My issues with the Tinubu government are the unnecessary projects, such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, and the failure to tackle the electricity and regional restructuring.

The statistics are there for all to see. Even the first Lady doesn't give in millions of Naira again but in billions of Naira. The former president brought CHANGE, what manner of change, CHANGE for the worse going by the results we got hence the APC slogan was quickly replaced with PROGRESS. The present President said he's bringing us Renewed Hope, hope for what? The results on ground indicates nothing but pains, sorrow, deaths, hunger and hopelessness.
Under Tinubu, the Naira is at its worst form ever @ ₦1,580 to the US Dollars $ truly making him the worst President ever to rule Nigeria 🇳🇬 though, he doesn't believe in statistics, but totally on fallacies.
Nigeria produces nothing, yet you want the Naira to be 1:1 to the dollar

The woman Abike has shown herself to be a tribal bigot and lacks the discretion expected of a public official. As a representative of the government, there are certain things you simply must not say. You do not single out an entire ethnic group when addressing crime especially in foreign countries.

What she has done is incite hate, ridicule and potential attacks against the Igbo people living there including innocent ones. But it seems they must always find a way to please their master, the chief bigot in Aso Rock whose wife was once caught on video shamelessly expressing prejudice against Igbos.

If Igbos happen to make up 100% of Nigerians residing in a particular foreign country, wouldn't it be logical that any crime statistics involving Nigerians there would reflect that demographic?

Let’s not forget had the Nigerian government not systematically denied Igbo youths opportunities at home, they wouldn't be forced to seek greener pastures abroad where, a few of them end up committing crimes out of desperation.
You're full of crap, constantly dropping the tribal bigot stuff. The fact that drug export is tied to the Igbos' stock and they are not even good at it, always getting caught, hence it is evident that a cartel is targeting vulnerable Igbos to export illegal drugs.

We need to target crime specific tribal cartels, whether it's Yorubas linked to ritual killing, Igbos with drugs and human trafficking, Bini with prostitution, Fulani with terrorism and Islamic militants.

No, it is not. You can only fix the problem if you tackle the primary source. If the source of drug dealing in South West Asia is from one state, the governor and the federal government can tackle the problem directly.

Some cartels are targeting the state and vulnerable people as mules to export drugs.

Tinubu's policy to enhance good policy to remove fuel subsidies, FX Control and implement new tax policies has been destroyed by his policy of corrupt investment, such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal road, holding onto the Refineries and Ajaokuta when they should be sold and a bloated government.

Why waste N500 billion on an airport at the expense of completing the development of the road mentioned above?

The graphite used in EV batteries comes from Oil Refineries. Oil Refineries are also petrochemical plants; there is a reason why India and S Korea are major chemical-producing countries.

Let them invest in Refineries, and the investors who want to build EV and Solar plants do their investment

What would you recommend. Visas to visit Lagos?
Critical thinking is one of the biggest downfalls of African people; we never solve problems until it's too late. We will continue with the uncontrolled internal migration until it's too late, and then resort to ethnic violence because we refuse to implement policies that will control internal migration.

The Chinese use the Hokou system to manage internal migration; you can't just travel to a state or city and arrange your accommodation, or state your purpose of travel. This is the reason why China, with 1.5 billion, don't have ghetto or illegal settlements and all the insecurity and upheaval that come with uncontrolled internal migration.

The Chinese internal migration system, primarily known as the hukou system, regulates and controls the movement of people within China. Established in 1958, it links citizens' rights and access to social services to their registered place of birth, making it difficult for migrants to obtain local hukou in new locations. This system has significantly impacted the lives of millions of internal migrants, particularly those moving from rural to urban areas, by limiting their access to education, healthcare, and other essential services.

What do you expect from a city design for 1 million people, now housing 23 million?

One of the reasons why China doesn't have the number of unplanned ghettos or illegal settlements that are prevalent across Lagos and many of the large cities is because they have an internal migration control system called Hukou. In China, you can just migrate to a province or town

The Chinese internal migration system, primarily known as the hukou system, regulates and controls the movement of people within China. North Koreans are not breeding like rabbits. The country has population control. In Nigeria, that resort would become an IDP camp within a week. Just look at the uncontrolled internal immigration to Lagos, which is now full of ghetto's and illegal settlements.

The excuse that Lagos was the former capital 35 years ago, hence it must welcome the entire country and the country's problems, is one of the reasons Nigeria has failed as a country. Tinapa, which was built in Cross River State, is now a relic despite having better facilities than the North Korean resort(world-class convention centre and rainforest)
