Just sell the three government refineries to local oil producers like Seplat and Consolidated Oil Limited: Lekoil Nigeria Ltd, and you will see the take-off of Nigeria's petrochemicals and oil industry. Get the government NNPCL out of the industry.

What's the business of Gov. Seyi Makinde with a federal university? That responsibility rests squarely on the Vice-Chancellor of UI, who should call the attention of the Minister of Education. The issue of flooding is a natural disaster no one forsee. It will be tackled.

Natural disasters can be managed. Years ago, the local river in Ibadan broke its banks and flooded the state; the government invested millions in dredging the river and adding levies that have now reduced flooding.
