Politics › Re: Between Dangote And NNPCL Who Do Nigerians Believe? by sulaak(m): 3:28am On Sep 25, 2024 |
NNPCL is supposed to be a private company with upstream and downstream services. Why are they also regulating the oil industry? Why can't they operate the three refineries in which they recently invested 4 Trillion?
Dangote has built and delivered a refinery, petrochemical plant and fertiliser plant.
NNPCL can't get anything working despite controlling 60% of the country's oil reserve.
One is a success story, and the other is a failure; who would you believe? |

mohbadliveson: Locally produced petroleum shouldn't be more expensive than imported ones. If I am a marketer, I will boycott Dangote too unless he reduces the price.
Let the poor..... The Quality of Dangote PMS is E10 the same quality used in Europe. The imported fuel is the cheapest, dirtiest petrol is referred to as “African quality”. This type of petrol, laced with high levels of toxic substances, is banned in Europe. These dirty fuels contain sulphur and benzene, which can cause cancer, and manganese, which damages engine parts, particulate filters and catalytic converters. The local marketers prefer the dirty fuel because they have more margin to profit from Nigeria. The Nigerian government must ban dirty fuel immediately. https://mg.co.za/africa/2024-01-22-inside-the-african-quality-fuel-scandal/ |

Besides, I thought they say politics is local. That's why the people should be protesting and not complaining. democracy will not remove Tinubu and APC |

Ofunaofu: This picture depicts the pitiable situation in which Tinubu's calamitous economic policies have reduced this country and its citizens into Yet Tinubu APC just won an election in Edo state, and the people are not protesting on the street. 67% of Tinubu's support came from the North; they also overwhelmingly supported Buhari. They should enjoy the fruit of democracy. When it comes to constitutional reform and restriction, the Northerners are nowhere to be found. |

MEEVEET: Do you think Tinubu can win an election to be sw regional leader over Osibanjo? 67% of Tinubu's support came from the North. OBJ and Tinubu did not win the SW. Restructuring will reduce the role of national political parties such as APC and PDP, which are designed to serve national political interests at the expense of regional and local interests. We once had political parties like UPN, NPP, NPC, PRP and GNPP that served regional interests first. |

OkCornel: Restructuring is merely replacing national looters with regional looters.
A better system that works for Africa is communalism (not to be confused with communism). Here the grassroots hold the power on decision making.
Rather than a few rich and powerful oppressors That is regional restructuring. The regions and the local inhabitant have control over security and production |

LIke now, on this site, people like Sowore are popular, and yes, a Sowore presidency would change things well well....but how many people know Sowore outside those who are on the internet...and even Sahara reporters has competitiors now compared to 2007 when it was the main the main web site of its kind.
Meanwhile, APC and PDP geng are in every state of the federation, they have their people everywhere, and they have their propaganda everywhere...so why won't people vote for what they see?
Or does Sowore's party have a branch on your street.? Are there Sowore members in your working place? Me I have people who are out and out PDP and APC supporters in my working place, on my street, among my extended family. Yet, if I mention Sowore, people go laugh. Even when I first voted, and I voted for Gani Fawehimni back then, and I made the mistake of telling two of my friends, they mocked me well well.
Plus let's REMEMBER that Tinubu won because the PDP traditional vote was divided between LP and PDP. Result, despite APC Losing 11 million votes compared to 2019, they won because Atiku and Obi could not do something called compromise ....and because religion got mixed up in the election which split the oppositon, along with tribe.
Seriously stop blasting Nigerians as people who deserve tinubu. At the end, most people did not vote for tinubu. Lagos even did not vote for Tinubu self. He won because of the same reason PDP kept winning...his party was united, the others were not.
We can cry all day long about PDP and APC and silly Nigerians behaving like rams voting for Sallah or chickens voting for christmas, but at the end, person go vote for wetin him see, not what he cannot see....and right now APC and PDP re what most people see.
Until people like Sowore are ready to show face and be patient until they win. Nigeria must be the only country with 97 million registered electorates, and the presidential candidate Tinubu wins with less than 9 million votes or 10% of the registered electorates. Nigeria cannot wait for Sowere to be known; millions of children are growing up without good nutrition and education; those are the future Ashawo, armed robbers and terrorists. We have witnessed how nations such as B Faso, Mali, Somalia and Sudan have collapsed into anarchy and backwardness , that is Nigeria's future. |

Neduzoma123456: School of 294k...
ELECTRICITY; Give and take , they would spend PATA PATA 700-800k on NEPA bill monthly. I've worked in a hotel , constant light...we were paying NEPA 500k every month.
I don't see how a school that doesn't operate at night should pay higher self.
SECURITY; A school that is willing to pay it teachers 55k...how much do you think that smelling school will pay security workers...
They would not even spend more than 35k each .. probably just 3 guards.
TAX; This is Nigeria, Many businesses and people evade tax...take it or leave it...they are either paying little or nothing.
WATER; Don't be Stupid , even on my street , one man just opened like a tank for free water for people to fetch and do whatever they like...he's not even a wealthy man...just every day guy...what I'm saying is WATER is no big deal... How much water the children wan consume.
FUNDING & MAINTENANCE; Listen and listen good... A beautiful and good looking school without it teachers giving dia best is nothing... Maintenance should go to the welfare of teachers for christ sake... Without them, the school is rubbish. You just laid out the problem in Nigeria: it is not the school business but the government's failure to generate the relevant tax to cushion the effect on business owners. To build a business in Nigeria, you must be your government ( providing healthcare, security, water, electricity etc.) with funds that could have been diverted to increase workers' pay. The school owners create jobs and survive in an unproductive and underdeveloped environment. TAX; This is Nigeria, Many businesses and people evade tax...take it or leave it...they are either paying little or nothing. |

Neduzoma123456: Below is an example of a school worth fees of 30k
100 students pay 30k = 3,000,000 10 teachers gets 70k = 700,000
10 students per Teacher (very realistic, don't argue)
A term is usually 3 months...School fees is paid once...Total monthly salary of teachers would be 700,000 x 3 months..that gives us = 2,100,000
What stops schools from applying this.
Then imagine a school of 290k as fees paying cheap 55k for labour ...like seriously...THIS IS WRONG!
it just pure wickedness...most School owners and Business owners in Nigeria are cruel...SIMPLE... They only want to use you dry. The school owners must pay for security, water, tax, and electricity, as well as funding the school building and its maintenance. Yet you think operating a school business is easy. The teacher can open evening lessons to generate extra income. |
