With your 4663, you could get 4055h27500 from arabsat@5C and other channels from there that transmit on mpeg2 with the exception of IRIB and co.

You might have mistakenly burnt an IC on it when you were connecting your Rf cable from receiver to lnb without put it off at the back. It could be also otherwise, no any IC might be burnt. but all you need to do is to take it to a good technician.

I was using it before i got for myself a 4922A. It has not been more than three years it was bought.
Yes, i have done data transfer via Rx cable.

It ceased working while i was watching a channel and i had to put it off and on again before it could come back to normal then after few seconds (not even minutes), it cease again and it might dislay any number on the front panel.

I connected my 4669 today, surprisingly, it starts hanging. I downgraded the software and the problem still persists.

If the above mentioned channels are working, that means the non-working ones are currently out of transmiting. Because they are all on the same tp.

olenyi: It actually doesnt affect the signal reception. Just make sure your frequency is correct. The dish should face east and should be above multi tv position almost facing the sky.

I hope your dish is well coupled. If it's not to much for you, try uploading the pix of our setup to aid us in directing you.

Yes, and that is the actual fact "it does NOT affect the signal at all" @goodieuzo, the only point to be taken note of is to make sure that your lnb is facing the focal point.

Arabsat at 20degree east has great coverage over africa but why don't you try with 1.8m for better signal reception.

select any c band satellite on your receiver and input this tp4055h27500 to track arabsat 5c and this 3964v30000 for irib package.

papylo4real: It doesn't upgrade.... It stays for hours, I had to remove the cable behind for it to continue the startup... An engineer to my rescue before and what he did was that after the booting, he simply entered the intallation menu and navigate to the OTA menu then switched it off. I would have done the same now when this problem popped up again but i dont knw d master password.... Pls anybody with the password? 4940 pls

Kizzylicious: thank you so much 4llerbuntu...with your help and that of olenyi i was able to install dstv and multi tv although i only did that ion seperate dishes...am really greateful pals...wish i could learn more here....the only problem am facing now is that my dstv only shows cctv4 and few other channels...what could be wrong?

odilibe: I have only tracked this sat with 2.4m/mesh dish....i am not sure of 1.8m..but you may have a chance on this sat, tracking with ethiopia media TP.

That should be arabsat5c@20 degree east or simply provide one or two frequencies for confirmation.

Fred4life: i tried tracking it bt notin cam out...

You might have done something wrong while tracking it.
Use this tp(4055h27500) to track it and thereafter input this 3964v30000 for irib. Make sure you use better lnb with di-electric plate.
Remember that in my very earlier post, i said that i tracked irib without the di-electric plate. But in your own, i advise you to use it but if you find it difficult to receive the signal, then take it off and use the aljazeera tp 4055h27500 to track and thereafter insert the di-electric plate, as it will boost your irib signal by atleast 10%.

this is not the matter of the type of lnb or dish size used. If there should be di-electric plate inserted on the lnb for any circular polarity, then there shouldn't be any possibility for signal to come up if its not inserted.
Initially, i was tracking it with the di-electric plate while i was manipulating the dish, the di-electric plate falled down(because the glass i used as my di-electric was not well sticked to the lnb, i cut the glass on my own) after that, i did not insert it back immediately and countinued my tracking lo! And behold! The signal came up on this tp 4055h27500 and thereafter i input the irib frq and it also came up. The signal never came up when i tried inserting the di-electric plate for experimental purpose to see whether it would retain the signal or detain it but only flashes green and goes off even uptill now. The signal is only stable if the di-electric plate is not included.
I used supermax lnb with noise figure 17k along with 1.8m pan dish.

This is to all and sundry.
I received irib signals today without the di-electric plate being inserted on the throat of the lnb and they are working effectively. After tracking, i inserted the di-electric plate to see how the signal would behave, lo and behold! irib packages went off and the signal left with 4055h27500 and i had to remove the di-electric plate again to get back the signals of irib.

Eureka !!!,
Got home 30mins ago, and as promised, I tried geting ctl on Gotv decoder.
Without DOWN CONVERTER, I got just the gotv channels + 4 startimes channels.
However, when I connected the DOWN CONVERTER, I noticed that while scanning, it was picking some channels but was writing "LOCKED" and after scanning I got 8 channels.
TBN, Smile, joytv , cine afrik , hitz tv, 4kids, emmanuel tv and peace tv , some of the local channels on CTL ibadan.

Tired now, will try with 4669x before I sleep.

look for a similar decoder like your's to revive your decoder through rs232cable. Or better still, use strong loader along with the compatible software if u are unable to see a simillar decoder like your's.
It is also worthy to be noted that, if your receiver is fake, the loader will not work for you.

try obtaining maximum signals on the following sats: dstv(12245h27500), eutelsatw3a(12728h/v30000), go to west and track CNN(03983v25000). I think the given satellites should do you good.

prest: Plz house, where can I find the software to reload my fake strong 4669XII,

had it shut down completely? or you want to upgrade for upgrading sake. If it is the formal, use rs232 cable and do data to data transfer from a similar decoder like your's.
Note: If you want to upgrade to another software version, there are no softwares to download for fake receivers.
