upright2010: thanks a lot 4 alws being there for me. But are the mbc there mpeg 2 or 4. Cos i'v ever tracked it with mpeg4 using 65cm dish but all d channels there weren't showing so i tot i was on a wrong sat. Kindly guide me more on this. Regards

olenyi: Its been like 3 - 4 days now since u started asking this same question. Permit me to ask; what have u tried. Have u tried out all the options and answers given to u here on the forum and it didn't work?

I taught the thing is to first try what u were told and then come back with any peculiar difficulties u encountered along the way. It's getting somehow asking the same question over and over all over the threads even when solutions/answers has been proffered to u. Don't u think?

olenyi: Make sure dat 11881 v 27500 has a very high signal. Then check dat 11024 H 03333 also is green. Then blindscan and all the stations should be dia.

The burnt IC is definitely the problem. Your decoder should come back to life as soon as you replace it.

That process of removing the RF connector from the decoder without first switching off power resulted
in the negative and positive ends of your RG 45 cable being bridged together and hence your ic being burnt.
That was why your decoder was displaying 'LNBF' on the front panel. Most times a lot of us do this especially
when we are in a . We get away with it without any consequence but on a few occasions like yours, disaster
happens. It is a very bad practice we must learn to avoid. Always take time to switch off your decoder from
the back on and off switch before changing cables. Often times, installers have been known to receive nasty
electric shock from poorly earthed decoders as a result of not switching off before removing f-connectors
from decoders.

Please lets be guided.

Our campaign has really gain grounds. 5 hrs ago we received a message from Arabsat indicating that our request to get the MBC SD free-to-air channels in Sub-Saharan Africa has been acknowledged at that they will be looking into it. This is the best news we've heard so far and we are glad to say you guys are all part of the people that really made this happen. Now Arabsat has heard our request, it's time we made the people of The MBC group hear our request. I still ask everyone to Send them emails, forward to them SMSs, tweet them or even post on their facebook walls. If they will encrypt their HD channels, let's all push so that the SD channels will be free for us. It can only happen when we all work together and speak with one voice. Let's all work at this and keep our fingers crossed for an exciting tomorrow. (y)

Just incase u get stuck half way, just factory reset the decoder.

And I think one needs to use it on a dish facing intelsat 7/10.

Am a bit sceptical but one can never tell.

So in tracking this Irib, where should LNB Block face(clock)? Also, should one put the dielectric plate into the LNB b4 tracking? Or it should be put inside after tracking? Please explain vividly on the steps to track the Irib with a 1.8m dish ground mount type. Waiting to read your response.

Thanks once again.my problem is that I'm not picking dstv on my 17°e 60 cm dish.I can only track multitv on that same 60cm dish.pls I need easy means of nailing dstv and Badr5 @ 26°e on that same 60cm dish I used for tracking 17°e.thanks
