The Benin empire did not control the Lagos port, but the Aworis were loyal to the Benin empire. Until the Oba invited the Portuguese and built their own palace.

Oyo does not own Ouidah, Oyo had great influence it and collect taxes just like the Benin had great influence on the eko port.

Lagos was separate from South and Northern regions

Lagos colony was later joined with Southern Nigeria in 1906 or so.

Lagos had been a business district for nearly 200 years before it was joined with Southern Nigeria.

However, under the military the other parts of Lagos was forcefully made Lagos like Ikeja business district etc..

Well, a true democracy is where the majority wins. But US follows majority by state.

Also, it’s not by the size of the state but by the pipulation … and small size don’t have much electoral votes… states like California has 55 electoral votes, small population states like Vermont have just 3.

Really! This isn’t news I don’t understand why it deserves a post on NL.

Many Nigerians are claiming to be married during visa interviews when they are only using a fake wedding certificate to get visa then come here and use a bogus divorce papers again… since after the ban on Nigerian visa back then, some of the conditions was for the Nigerian government to give the State dept resources to validate marriages… and since then they’ve been validating fake marriages and even withdrawing some people’s green card. This is been going on since 2021/2022.
