gsainttrinity: Please, tell our illiterate country men and stupid government officials. Although I believe nigerian government cannot do such a thing its senseless. The person you are quoting have people working in mtn. She is just talking on emotions not objective. When NNPC was shutdown did people lose their jobs. The statement here is to close south African businesses here, till the safety of Nigerians are guarantee by SA government. After which MTN and others may resume operations. This is the statement we are making. Are you losing your job if dstv close for one month so your brothers in South Africa will be given diplomatic attention. |

chillykelly86: Its not good for any country to be threatening or implying threats to foreign companies.
Other foreign companies are watching. It may seem a nice idea to you to teach the South Africans a lesson but how will it seem to other foreign companies?
In most of these cases, it the govt's position that weighs so much. And as far as I know, the South African govt has condemned the xenophobic attacks and are doing well to arrest the situation. they are doing nothing all those things you see is for show. Even the police supports these people. And release those in their custody at any given time. |

Politics › Thread for Nairalanders to Congratulate Buhari And State Their Expectations by Sunday8650(op): 8:06pm On Mar 31, 2015*. Modified: 8:23pm On Mar 31, 2015 |
As a candidate has emerged the winner of this election. It is only fair we begin to advocate for peace and unity. Nairaland being Nigeria premier Social forum have to take the first step and advocate for peace among each other.
This thread is created for Nairalanders irrespective of party affiliations to congratulate the winner and state their expectations.
While I call on tanoids and APC ambassadors of Change on Nairaland to extends hands of friendship to each other. And state their expectations from the winner.
I formally congratulate General Muhammad Buhari for emerging the President elect.
I also call on him to commit to the works of the incumbent President in battling Book haram and ensure he expose the sponsors of boko haram and bring them to book.
As Nigerians we demand for you to deliver the promise of good governance and transparency you campaign on.
We demand you bring to an end the high unemployment and under employment the graduates and youths are living in.
We expect you to be an impartial President and extend good governance to all geo political zones.
We demand for the recovery of all stolen public funds and clamp on corruption.
We demand for a Democratic governance and not a dictatorial government.
We demand you focus on our economy and give all sectors urgent priority.
And I want to clearly state this to you sir: NORTH DIDN'T VOTE YOU NIGERIANS DID, SO GIVE NIGERIANS YOUR PRIORITY.
I open the floor for others to congratulate and state their expectations.
God bless Nairalanders God bless Nigeria. To TAN and APC: NO VICTOR NO VANGUISH |
