Since the computer might have been infected also, doing the above will not solve your problem permanently.

You firstly, need to check for running programs using Task Manager.

Look for "PAINT", "MICROSOFT REGISTRY SERVER", "AUTOiT3", "Microsoft Visual Basic"

Either of this must be running

Just force close them.

Secondly,

Go to your startup menu and right click on either of those and delete using SHIFT+DELETE

Now, to get your files back, open any folder

Go to folder and search and clock on folder options

From there, click on the middle tab that says VIEW

then tick "show hidden folders" and untick "hide protected operating system files"

Apply and save

Go to the flash drive and RIGHT CLICK then CLICK on OPEN.

This will prevent the virus from opening up again if it's an AUTORUN virus.

Under the flash drive you will see the virus there but delete all shortcuts there.

Paint.sys, Autorun.inf, and .lnk files

Your files will have shown but they will be greyed out.

To make them appear normal again, use the command prompt command listed by some of the NLers noting the drive letter of the flash drive i.e. C:/, D:/, E:/ or whatever the drive letter might be.

That's all.

Next time, disable autoplay on all your computer devices

Click on start and type AUTOPLAY, open it up and disable autoplay for all media them save.

Good try but this will not fix it. It's not a virus. It's just a registry error.

It's actually a registry error. Quite an old issue but still fixable without using any antivirus software or losing your files. Please chat me up on zero seven zero three nine three eight six three one three. I will guide u step by step. It's delicate and I wouldn't want you to make a mistake so I want you to get it right at once that's why.

- Three communities in Lagos have reportedly gotten letters from some suspected robbers, notifying the residents of their coming to rob them

- The robbers were said to have pasted copies of the letter in front of some of the houses in the communities

- The three communities had been attacked by armed robbers before

Some suspected armed robbers have sent a letter to Egan, Akesan and Igando communities in Lagos state informing them of an impending visit from the men of the underworld, New Telegraph reports.

NAIJ.com gathered that the robbers were said to have pasted copies of the letter in front of some of the houses in the communities, notifying the residents of their coming to rob them of their valuables.

It was learnt that armed robbers had attacked the three communities before, but they were repelled by the vigilantes hired by the residents.

Kunle Adelowo, a resident of Egan community, said the people were surprised when they saw the letter on Saturday, July 14.

He said: “Everyone of us in the community went to bed peacefully, only to wake up the following morning to see white sheet of papers on the walls of some houses, including mine.

“To the surprise of everyone, the robbers have also gone to Akesan and Igando where they also pasted the same letter in houses there, informing them of their coming. We immediately reported to police at Igando.

“The divisional police officer of Igando assured us of adequate monitoring of the three affected communities. We are not relying on them alone; we have doubled our efforts by recruiting more vigilantes to patrol our area.

“We are not taking chances. We, the landlords, also come out at night to assist the vigilantes. The majority of those who reside in Egan are not rich; we only depend on God for survival.”

A resident of Akesan, identified as Dupe, said when the armed robbers came to the area in May, they moved from house to house.


“When the robbers came in May, they broke into people’s houses, stole phones and other valuables. But with this letter, I don’t know what they want from our community again. We are living from hand to mouth.

“The robbers should go to places where rich men are; we are not rich they should have sympathy for us. When they came in May, any house they entered and the person did not give them what they wanted they would descend on members of the family and beat them blue and black before leaving.

“This latest letter threat came as a result of the robbers not getting enough money the last time they came."

"When they were escaping, they told us they are coming back and we should be prepared for their coming. They also told us to keep money for them otherwise they would kill everybody in the community,” she said.

Dupe added that the residents were all living in fear as many of them were jobless, which, according to her, explains why they decide to reside in such areas.

She said: “I am appealing to the police to do more in their patrol, because our lives are in danger since the robbers have announced their coming to rob us.”

It was also learnt that some of the residents who could not withstand the robbers’ threats have started moving out of the three communities and relocated to other areas.

NAIJ.com previously reported that some alleged armed robbers reportedly killed four policemen attached to the Sabogidda-Ora division of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and their corpse set ablaze by their attackers.

The incident occurred at about 8:30pm on Saturday, July 14, at the Oke New-Avbiosi road junction along Uzebba-Ifon expressway in Owan West local government area.

The report said the residents of the area watched helplessly as the corpses of the policemen continued to burn.

How many BRT buses de park for one bus stop when 20 go damage at once ? Lies errywhere. Meanwhile BRT drivers are worse than Peace Mass Transit. Even with their own lane, they still can't maintain sanity.

If you know anything about what's going on in Lagos you'd know that the BRT lanes around Maryland to Yaba axis are undergoing some reconstruction so even the BRT buses have to pass the normal lanes that everyone else uses.

The strategy is to still give them a kind of lane so they can follow each other to avoid gridlock.

There was majors traffic jam this afternoon so its not unusual that other BRT buses will "meet" their colleagues that are stuck in traffic.

I was at the scene so be rest assures the numbers are accurate. I counted 20 damages buses but there were more down the road.

I couldn't get there because I don't have extra life.
