Gbagyi (also spelled Gwarri and Gbari ) are an ethnic group in central Nigeria. They predominantly live in the Niger , Kaduna, States [citation needed ] and the Federal Capital Territory . They are also found in Nasarawa and Kogi States in central Nigerian Area.Gbagyi is the most populated ethnic Group and indigenous in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria and their major occupation is farming. [1][2] The Gbagyi people are known to be peace- loving, transparent and accommodating people. Northerners are fond of saying in Hausa language muyi shi Gwari Gwari, "let’s do it like the Gbagyi" or "in the Gbagyi way". According to Tanko Chigudu, the Gbagyi people have emerged as a unique breed among Nigerians: their culture shows how much they have come to terms with the universe. Daily they aspire to give life a meaning no matter the situation they find themselves. [3] Gbagyi people were often enslaved by some of the nearby Hausa-Fulani emirates. [4] One famous Gbagyi is General and former President of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida . [5] |
This is so sad. I don't really know what our Nigerian embassy are for in all these countries..... It's so annoying. |
A Kenyan lawyer and animal lover proposed to marry President Barack Obama’s first daughter with 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats. Felix Kiprono told The Nairobian newspaper he had been fantasizing of tying the knot with Malia Obama since 2008, and had stayed celibate since then. “I got interested in her in 2008. As a matter of fact, I haven’t dated anyone since and promise to be faithful to her. I have shared this with my family and they are willing to help me raise the bride price,” he said. Obama is expected to visit Kenya in July 2015 – a visit said to cost at least N11 billion. Kiprono plans to seize the opportunity of the visit to meet “the love of his life”, pleading with Obama to come with Malia to the country. “I am currently drafting a letter to Obama asking him to please have Malia accompany him for this trip. I hope the embassy will pass the letter to him. I will hand it over to the US Ambassador with whom we have interacted several times.” Kiprono insists that his love for Malia is real and has nothing to do with the US first family’s money. “People might say I am after the family’s money, which is not the case. My love is real.” If his request is granted, Kiprono promises to surprise his queen – not with champagne, but sour milk. “If my request is granted, I will not resort to the cliché of popping champagne. Instead, I will surprise her with mursik, the traditional Kalenjin sour milk. As an indication that she is my queen, I will tie sinendet, which is a sacred plant, around her head. “I will propose to her on a popular hill in Bureti near my father’s land where leaders and warriors are usually crowned.” Malia was 10 years old in 2008, when Kiprono claimed he fell in love with her – she was born in July 1998. |

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kencnedy was elected to Congress in 1946. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both their wives lost a child while living in the White House. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head. Now it gets really weird. Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln. Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939. Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names are composed of fifteen letters. Now hang on to your seat. Lincoln was shot at the theater named "Ford." Kennedy was shot in a car called "Lincoln" made by "Ford." Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials. And here's the "kicker": A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland. A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe. AND...................: Lincoln was shot in a theater and the assassin ran to a warehouse... Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and the assassin ran to a theatre... |

A man with a fatal medical condition has spoken exclusively to MailOnline about how he is set to become the first person to undergo a head transplant and hopes it could be as soon as next year. Valery Spiridonov says he is ready to put his trust in controversial surgeon, Dr Sergio Canavero who claims he can cut off his head and attach it to a healthy body. Mr Spiridonov, 30, a computer scientist from Russia, said: ‘My decision is final and I do not plan to change my mind.’ As a lifelong sufferer of the rare genetic Werdnig- Hoffman muscle wasting disease, he says he wants the chance of a new body before he dies. ‘Am I afraid? Yes, of course I am. But it is not just very scary, but also very interesting,’ said Mr Spiridonov from his home in Vladimir, a city 120 miles east of Moscow. ‘But you have to understand that I don’t really have many choices’, he said. ‘If I don’t try this chance my fate will be very sad. With every year my state is getting worse.’ Dr Canavero and Mr Spiridonov have talked via Skype though they have not met yet and the doctor has not reviewed his medical records. The Italian told CNN he has received many email and letters from people seeking the procedure but he insists the first patients will be people suffering from a muscle wasting disease. Dr Canavero has named the procedure HEAVEN, which is an acronym for head anastomosis venture. Anastomosis involves the surgical connecting of two parts. He insists all the necessary techniques already exist to transplant a head onto a donor body. The first monkey head transplant was performed 45 years ago and a basic operation on a mouse was carried out in China recently. But critics say Dr Canavero’s plans are ‘pure fantasy’. The Italian has been compared to the fictional gothic-horror character Dr Frankenstein.

multicast:The truth brother is, 1. Your marriage is not crashing 2. Divorce should not be an option you should settle for. It's out of line for you (as a Christian). You are a Christian I guess: except on the ground of unfaithfulness 3. She is having heart issues.... Except the heart is changed, her attitude won't. 4. You can't change her heart, only God can. 5. Discuss this with God, and let your pastor know and join you in prayers for her too. 6. Prayer is the key. 7. Then keep being nice with her.... Having faith in God. She will change for the best which will have to be sustained by prayers also. Then you will have the best marriage ever. |

Story highlights Dr. Sergio Canavero says he is two years away from performing the first total human head transplant The first patient will be a 30-year-old Russian man with a rare, genetic muscle wasting disease One ethicist says Canavero should be helping paralyzed patients walk before performing body transplants (CNN)— It sounds like the plot for a science fiction movie. Someone has a horrific accident and winds up in the hospital, brain dead and on life support. Doctors approach the family about organ donation, but instead of saving as many as eight lives, the family is asked to donate the whole body to save just one individual. Perhaps a quadriplegic with a mind that outmatches their malfunctioning body. As crazy as this sounds, to put an entire head on a new body, a human body, Italian physician Dr. Sergio Canavero says we are approaching HEAVEN (an acronym for head anastomosis venture; anastomosis is surgically connecting two parts). The pieces are coming together but there are still many hurdles to jump. Canavero says he has part of the funding secured, although he says he can't yet disclose where the money is coming from as a condition of the funding. He's also taking the 2015 layman's approach with crowd funding and book sales. He has identified Valery Spiridonov as the first patient. The 30-year-old Russian man suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Werdnig- Hoffman disease. Canavero says the man volunteered. The two men have talked via Skype but they have yet to meet in person and Canavero has not reviewed Spiridonov's medical records. Canavero says he has a stack of emails and letters from people who want this procedure. Many of them are transsexuals who want a new body, he says. But he insists the first patients will be people who are suffering from a muscle wasting disease . |

ABUJA NATIVES CONGRATULATE BUHARI ON VICTORY: SEEKS APPOINTMENT OF INDIGENOUS FCT MINISTER, SCRAPPING OF LANDSWAP Natives of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja under the banner of the Original Inhabitants Development Association of Abuja, OIDA have congratulated the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President-Elect, Professor Yemi Osibanjo on their victory in the March 28 polls. In a statement by the President of the association, Pastor Danladi Jeji, the pan-FCT socio-cultural group said the victory is a right step towards the fulfilment of the aspiration of Nigerians through the ballot box. They want the incoming All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government to ensure that all Nigerians have a say in the people-elected government. “The election of Gen. Buhari is the fulfilment of our aspiration for a people-centered government and we will offer maximum support to the incoming federal government which we are optimistic will have policies that will benefit not only original inhabitants of Abuja but also all Nigerians resident in the capital city” OIDA said. The natives are asking the President-Elect to appoint competent natives of Abuja as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and political aides so that the incoming government will not have a crisis of confidence between it and Abuja original inhabitants. The statement adds that Abuja original inhabitants want “the immediate scrapping of the Landswap programme of the outgoing minister of FCT, Bala Mohammed because it is a conduit pipe for allocation of massive lands to cronies of the outgoing PDP-led federal government. We also seek a total audit of land allocations by the Abuja Geographic and Information System, AGIS.” OIDA stated that the natives have “fought and endured injustice for long in the administration of the outgoing PDP-led Federal Government especially on the protracted issues of land-grab, demolition of native houses, non-development of satellite towns, marginalization in appointments, non-compensation of compulsorily acquired lands and massive sacking of whole villages for the appropriation of their lands by selfish politicians and their cronies in government. We have the confidence in the ability of your government to end these injustices.” The group urged the APC-led Federal Government to create a development commission to cater for displaced indigenous communities in Abuja. “The proposed Abuja Original Inhabitants Development Commission (AOIDC) should be statutory and derive its funding from 30% of all sales accruing from allocable lands within the FCT. When established, AOIDC should deal with the lingering issues of relocation, resettlement and compensation for all project affected communities and persons.” The pan-FCT group also commended President Goodluck Jonathan for accepting defeat and saving the nation from crises that may have occured if the election had not been conducted according to international best practices. They wished him the best of luck in his future endeavours. Formally welcoming the President-Elect and his vice to the nation’s seat of power, the natives urged General Buhari not to let Nigerians down considering the massive votes given to him by citizens from all parts of Nigeria including the natives of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Have made a conclusion within me...after getting married, I will convince my the guy to allow me travel out of the country, maybe if I'm away, I can start a new life out of Nigeria chore and if this doesn't work, I will either file for a divorce after one year or cheat on my husband to make me happy. Wrong mindset..... You need Jesus. That's where your solution lies. Walk away, and walk into Jesus. I wish you the best |
FCT Minister, Senator Bala Muhammed has congratulated the Senator-Elect and the two Members-Elect of the House of Representatives, Hon. Philip Tanimu Aduda, Mr. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo and Hon. Isa Ega Dobi over their victory in last Saturday’s Senatorial and House of Representatives election in the Federal Capital Territory. Greeting them on behalf of his family, the FCT Administration and the entire residents of FCT, Senator Muhammed described their victories as ‘well deserved’ and expressed delight that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party posted 100 percent performance in the federal legislative election. In the polls, while Aduda, a serving member of the House of Representatives representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency was elected to represent FCT in the Senate, Hon. Dobi another serving member of the House was re- elected to represent the Abaji/Gwagwalada/Kuje/ Kwali Federal Constituency in the Federal House. On his part, Mr. Jisalo, the immediate past Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) was elected to represent AMAC/Bwari constituency in the House of Representatives. Said the FCT Minister in his separate congratulatory messages to the trio: “Your victory is no doubt a product of your commitment, diligence, hard work and dedication to the service of the people. It is yet another vote of confidence by the people in you in view of your rich antecedents as leaders and exemplary public servants.” The Minister wished them the best in their noble endeavours as Senator and Honourable Members of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and called on them to demonstrate the positive attributes of a magnanimous winner by extending a hand of fellowship to all their constituents including those they defeated in the elections and their supporters. He reminded them that in every political contest, there must be a winner and a loser and that the noble virtue is how to be a generous winner. Senator Bala Muhammed assured them of the full support and cooperation of the FCT Administration as they continue their quality representation of the good people of FCT in their respective capacities at the National Assembly. He stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the FCT and the nation at large remained very proud of them, especially against the background of their sterling performance in the recent election. He further charged them not to rest on their oars but to return to the field with all their associates, supporters and machineries to work towards a resounding victory of the PDP in next Saturday’s presidential election in the FCT and the entire country. |
Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus and pray for the well-being of the great nation of Nigeria. You are God and no human occasion is insignificant to you. You come in at every crisis point. I pray for tolerance and peace in the upcoming election and that your will be done. I also pray that the howling winds of death and destruction through Boko Haram will die down. You said in the Book of Exodus “when I see the blood, I will pass over you.” Each one of Your children is beyond the reach of the powers of hell, witches, and spells, curses, demons and war. The principalities and powers in heavenly places cannot touch Your people while we rest beneath the banner of the precious blood of Jesus our Savior, our Passover Lamb. Your protection surrounding us is impenetrable and invulnerable. Let Your wonderful face shine love, peace and prosperity upon Nigeria and all its wonderful people, especially the Family of God. In Jesus’ Name I pray. AMEN. |

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has asked security agencies in the country to provide adequate protection for members of the National Youth Service Corps deployed to assist officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct the general elections. Abubakar gave the charge when the NYSC Director-General, Brig-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, paid a pre-election advocacy visit to his palace. This was contained in a statement by the NYSC on Sunday. The sultan was quoted as saying, “I call on politicians to ensure the safety of the corps members. On my part, I have directed district heads in the state to take charge of the safety of corps members serving in their domains, and want same move to be replicated in other parts of the country. “I also urge corps members not to be deterred by past violence, but to consider their service in the conduct of elections as a national duty to be proud of.” Abubakar further urged them to go into the electoral assignment with high sense of patriotism and to avoid identifying with any political party. The NYSC DG, Olawumi, appealed to the monarch to help in sensitising members of the public, especially politicians, to ensure the safety of the corps members before, during and after the elections. The DG also urged Nigerians to report misconduct by any corps members to the NYSC management, rather than take the laws into their hands. |
