Hello house, I have the opportunity to get a nice Alfa Romeo 156 at a cheap price, but my concern is the maintenance. Will I be able to get mechanics to work on it and how available are the spare parts in this part of the world. I saw a similar post about this case but it was back in 2009. I'm wondering if there has been some improvements in this area. Thanks. |
Here is another Scammer: @GreenlandAgric. +234 08134741908. He claims to be operating farm lands in Ibadan, Oyo state. At the end of investment tenure, he asked for few more days to get money from the companies he supplied his product to. Afterwards, he stopped picking calls and even blocked my line. He is also operating under a business name AKSO Integrated Agricultural Services. |
@Op, Please don't develop something like Nairaland. Nairaland is old! There are modern forums with great UI/UX and more functionalities that can be used as model. The additional feature you require is called http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/internationalization-I18N Internationalization. The forum can be developed in such a way that porting it to another language is just a matter of changing a config file. But in the end, your budget will determine the quality of what you can get. |
@op, you don't need someone to develop a solution for you, what you need is someone to install a POS software for you. There's no point re-inventing the wheel. It will take months to achieve the quality of Quickbooks and this will definitely cost you more. From stock management/inventory, purchase orders, bar code reader integration etc. I'm a software developer so I know what I'm saying. I have done the inventory part before and I did it because there was prospect for getting multiple clients to use it, though it didn't later work out. Just get someone to install and customize Quickbooks or a variant for you. |
Simply reinstall. ![]() |
This is a wonderful idea, you might want to reconsider the app name though ![]() |
Thanks @LordRahl001. I actually know some companies in Lagos that are into card stuffs, like EPPlus, and I've worked with them before on a bigger project. But when I contacted them, I was told point-blank they don't do small scale supplies. I finally got a company in Jos, dalcangroup.com. Not so standard company though, but I got the cards from them. I also saw a post by http://hub360.com.ng here on nairaland. I'll check them out too. |
I need a contactless card (Mifare Classic 1k preferably) asap for a project. Where can I get it here in Nigeria? The few companies I have contacted told me they only do large scale orders. I only need like 5 to do a proof of concept for a company. |
Map, Set and Lists are made for different purposes. Map is for key-value pair storage, List works like an dynamically expandable array while Set is like the List, but doesn't allow duplicates. |
I don't know the library you are using to parse the json string. But the one i've used before is gson. Maybe you can try it out. |
Thanks for your comments. I think I will go with Spring. |
A popular challenge that we java developers face when it comes to web application development is the choice of framework to use. And what makes it worse is the fact that each web framework is a new learning curve on its own, apart from the general knowledge of J2SE, JPA and other fundamental stuffs. I have been using Play! framework for some time, but I feel the need to learn a framework that is more accepted generally. After doing some research on some "Best java web framework blogs, I am thinking of either going with Spring Framework or JBoss Seam. I would like to know java developers' opinion on this. Which one do you think most organizations ask for? |
Just by way of advertising my skills, I have good experience in payment systems and EMV card applications. Payment systems follow ISO8583 standard - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8583. Therefore, in case you need to integrate with a banking application or a payment switch, I sure can be of help. I have worked with commercial banks and a payment switch in Nigeria and I have applications currently running live with them. I also have experience in EMV cards application, having developed a pos application that reads the card information and forwards them to the payment gateway for processing. My email address is sunnyben03{at}yahoo{.}com. Do contact me for business talks. |
It's a very great idea. I saw Samsung on the site where i downloaded it, but it's not compatible with my Samsung D880. Anything i can do about these? |
@ezugudor Sorry, It's not facial recognition, it only captures that as part of the data. It's fingerprint recognition. It has 180 degrees rotation tolerance. |
Hi all, Are you, or your company in need of a Direct data capture Application that captures bio-data, Fingerprint, facial image and signature? My company, an Abuja based software development company has the solution. It's a Java based GUI application that does AFIS and captures other aforementioned data. The application can be fully customized for you. Contact me on this email address for more info: sunnyben03@yahoo.com. |
