Please I need your advice because I want to start Bolt in Lagos and do it for like three months with my personal cars .. presently living in Ibadan

I have been hearing a lot of issues with car theft, robbery, car vandalism etc. and my Toyota Corrola 2010 is pretty like Tokunbo

I just need money to complete a project but all these car thefts is really making me scared.

Please can someone advise me..

What advice do you need other than to put measures in place to secure your Car wherever it is parked and if you can afford a comprehensive insurance package, you are good to go life is full of risk.

If you can,fine. But be prepared as if there are faults the mechanics used that to avoid, once you return to default, it will prop up. How long it has been run direct also matters. If it has been for too long, probability that your Engine is already dieing may be high and changing the system abruptly my trigger some issues.

You're not doing an immediate damage na. It's gradually. Your fan may tend to fail sooner than expected. It's now working round the clock as against when needed.

Check online for effects of running your fan direct in a modern car, you'll see for yourself.

I guess it is better to return back to it original state, even thought that was how it was bought.

Still trying to unravel why I have to change the radiator from SC to DC, still not having any issue despite the fact that my fan was directly connected.

If gasket is weak, ur coolant will be evaporating in the engine. So ur coolant will be reducing without any visible leak.
If you have to topup coolant in your radiator frequently without seeing where it is leaking, then most likely your gasket is weak.

Are you using coolant or ordinary water?
Is ur fan not blowing properly?
Is ur top cylinder gasket flat?
Is water pump weak.
What is d relationship between long distance travel and double cell radiator?

Cos my car still travels and I am using the radiator that came with the car since 2007

My brother none of the above, is there any sign to watch out for when gasket is flat? The only part am not so sure of? Btw I use ordinary water not coolant.

We too dey do oversabi here, I don use Corolla for almost a year with the cooling system the way it came and nothing happened to it.
Once they start tampering that car wahala fit begin dey manifest, nothing dey no tell me that time but I refused.

Mechanic only did servicing and helped replace linkage.
Rewire helped changed plugs cos car would vibrate strangely when AC dey on. Me I already know say na plugs/coil sign be that - scanned and it all pointed to plugs (leaking discovered). We kuku changed all of them and everything came back normal.
No overheating. But yes, it usually gets hot and stays for longer before cooling down a bit. Temperature gauge always stays in the middle and the radiator na single cell. Cos both of them know say na single cell radiator. Could that be the reason for their advices?
Make I sharply tell the car owner say na wetin engineers talk be this.

Is the engine unnecessarily hot? That is whenever you turn it off, even after say 20 minutes your engine compartment is still hot? If so, remove it, if not leave it.


Reason is cause the high temperature can damage other things.

Happened to be the only Male among 4 Females and the second born, lost my Dad in 2020, they all gang up against me because I insisted on accountability (money spent on renovation work should be well documented). Finally went to inspect the Car today, they did a nice job, but couldn't be convinced to drop the 25k, I told the mofo I can only afford 10k in addition to the 40k balance, told him I will pay 45k now and balance the 5k by month end, Sapa is on rampage everywhere now. Thank you all.

I've met their type before and I do much hate that treatment of a customer whose only crime is patronizing your services and paying you bulk half payment in advance. I received exactly the same treatment from the carpenter that roofed my house last December.
